Due July 2011?

1000 replies

MadAboutTheBoys · 24/10/2010 07:42

Just got my BFP this morning and so excited! Managed this conception while DH was out of the country so very chuffed that it worked! Already have two DS, one who is 3.2 and an August birthday and one who is 16 months and a June birthday so bring on the Summer parties!

Have never been part of an antenatal club on here before but as this is planned to be my last pregnancy am hoping to find some other July mums to share the journey with (although know I am very early!) Am already worrying how the birth will go as DS2 was born unexpectedly in the kitchen after a 90 min labour with the midwife only just there to catch him, so am a bit worried if subsequent labours are supposed to go quicker whether I will have anyone with me for this one, but at least I have a while to go yet!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BeatrixRotter · 13/11/2010 13:15

Eglu I was wondering about that but DD is only 2 so will probably wait until after the gender scan (or whatever it's called, can't remember when you have it 20 something weeks) or when I start to show whichever happens first. Which will probably be the latter.

Pesha · 13/11/2010 14:34

Hi all, ds2 now completely recovered and fine thank you although he did have me a little worried when he couldn't keep a thing down for the most of the day but then tea time seemed to suddenly pick up! I thought I'd caught it last night when I was really violently sick but turned out to just be my MS getting worse, fab! Hmm

I will probably tell my dc later today as, hard as I'm trying to be sick quietly, I think they have heard me and I don't want them to start to worry. I'll tell them the same as I did last time which is that I have a tiny egg in my tummy that may grow into a baby but it may not as they dont always work properly, but it takes a lot of effort for my body to try and make it work which is why I keep being sick. Not sure I will tell ds2 though (3.6) as I don't think he'll really understand and like Nicola said July is forever away as far as he's concerned.

Right, have to go and help dd change her hamster's cage, lets hope it doesn't smell too much Envy (thats a vomit face btw!)

nicolamumof3 · 13/11/2010 14:36

aah pesha thats a lovely way to put it! Good luck with the hamster cage!

I am exhausted just been emptying out ds1's bedroom ready for painting. Too much heavy lifting and pulling i feel a bit rough now. Just going to get my feet up for a minute. My mum is coming at 3pm to take all three boys for the night...whilst we paint!

fallingandlaughing · 13/11/2010 17:59

Thought I would add myself to the stats list. Bought a baby names book today as DP and I have already vetoed each other's favourites. Sob. He is being quite lovely though and more excited than expected. All those DIY jobs that have been on the back burner are now to be tackled.

Hello ladies,

I posted when the thread was just starting -- it's great to see so many mums-to-be here :) Congratulations girls!!
Hopefully I can post much more frequently to get to know you all.

I hadn't had a period since September so was shocked to get a BNP in October...
Late October tested again and got 2 BFPs!! Had blood test to confirm 3 weeks PG but told to go home and not rule out ectopic.
Went for scan today, they had to do an internal but lo and behold we DID see a little sac!

It would appear that the missed period was due to my coming off a medication i was taking and that I conceived after I'd taken the first test....so I probably knew before I'd even have really missed a period. Does that all make sense? Hmmm...

Anyhow, back in 2 weeks for dating etc..
Very nervous, excited....etc..

Mitchel82 -- This will be my 4th c-sec too if all goes well so i'm looking fwd to sharing news with you!!

Please add me you to your stats. Sorry no date yet but am around 4.5weeks gone.

EDD: July sometime
PG 4 (DS1 4.11/DS2 3.9/DS3 2.5)
Scary 35!

jamhs · 13/11/2010 20:04

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! My DH doesn't want us telling anyone about this pg yet, but I just want to tell everyone about it- I am so excited to be having another little person in our lives! I have told my mom and have convinced him that we should tell his parents as I live with them and the boys during the first half of the week(work in Liverpool, live in Herts! Don't even know where I should see the midwife..).
Decided that I shouldn't mention anything to DS1 right now, as I don't want him to say anything about mum having a baby in her belly!
How is everyone coping with having other DC and being in the early stages? So so tired!!!

BeatrixRotter · 13/11/2010 20:18

DD is almost 2.5 and I have to say I have been lucky so far. She will amuse herself for fairly long periods so I have been taking the opportunity to put my feet up. She isn't getting up too early either so neither am I. My justification is that I will not be able to get away with this behaviour for a LONG time once DC2 arrives.

isitreallythattime · 13/11/2010 20:27

Im I too late to jump onto this thread?

I have not been to the doctors yet to get a due date but have a feeling a little person will be joining me around mid July.

Already have one dc (3yrs) and Im a little nervous as to how I will manage.

Anyone on this thread got tickets to see Take That before finding out they were pregnant. Are you going? I have tickets for wembley but think it will be around my 38th week. Grrrrrrr. x

Hulla · 13/11/2010 20:39

Welcome to all the new posters!

JAHMS do you stay with family in Liverpool in first half of the week and then go home for the rest of the week? That's exactly what DD & I do - stay with my mum in Liverpool and then go home mid-week (we only live 20 miles away though - how do you do that journey every week?).

My DD is almost 22 months now and we're doing ok. My symptoms haven't kicked in greatly really but I am tired. She has a 3 hour nap in the afternoon which I'm making the most of!!

falling DH and I can't agree either. He keeps suggesting really unusual names for some reason. Thank goodness we have awhile to decide.

Hulla · 13/11/2010 20:41

Oh and today I had two breakfasts, lunch, a mid-afternoon lunch/dinner and then dinner. I don't remember eating this much last time. I've got a little bulge - it's definitely calorie-related!

Hulla · 13/11/2010 20:45

Welcome isitreally! My dh offered to buy me tickets from a colleague. I reminded him it might not be very comfortable to go to a concert at 8 months pregnant Smile

I have got tickets to a weekend festival in August though. We were going with dd and some friends and their ds. I can't see how I can do that now. I'm so disappointed. Still, would rather have the baby than the festival and we were ttc so I knew it was a risk.

jamhs · 13/11/2010 21:12

Hulla- I stay with my in-laws(but they are fab!) and I usually get the train Sunday up to l'pool and train back down weds, or dh comes up and we stay for the wknd. Am hoping to get a new car to drive. All dh fault for getting a promotion while still on mat leave! Had to go back for min 3 months, but decided to try for another mat leave! All a bit crazy- thank goodness for double prams and free travel for under 5's! I think this is part of why i'm so tired.

mentality · 14/11/2010 06:16

Morning girls,

Beatrix - DS3 is almost 2.5 and will happily nap when the others are at school. Definitely make the most of it -- it's great to have a little one that age :)

Hulla - LOL at 2 brekkies :) Go for it!

Jamhs - Waves -- Living with inlaws is bound to have its perks. How old are your DC? I must check the stats list....

hefner · 14/11/2010 11:34

Hi, can I join you?

I got my BFP earlier this week and DH and I are both really excited, although feeling quite daunted as this is our first time. I?m looking forward to getting to know everyone here.

The doctor has given me an EDD of 5th July, although I think I?m probably a couple of weeks behind his estimate as I?ve been having really long cycles. I will attempt to add myself to the stats, hope this works!

Hi everyone! I'm another newbie - very excited and a bit freaked out. Realising there are going to have to be a lot of changes which is scary - my current job involves overseas travel which might mean I need to change jobs... scary thought! But thrilled, and told my mum today - will be her first grandchild :) she is really happy... not feeling very sick, boobs have stopped really aching - like a few others on here, would weirdly like to feel a bit worse so it would feel a bit more real... have added myself to the stats

hi ladies, i will join your club ! i am almost 7 weeks pregnant with 2nd child. Have had 2 early scans, one at almost 5 weeks that just confirmed an early gestational sac, and one last week that confirmed yolk sak, and heartbeat- reason for scans was because i had some cramping and a very small amount of light browny discharge at 4 weeks.

Still feeling very very nervous as its still early days but at least i found out early enough to lay off the wine and be carefull !! DS is 2 years old, will be nearly 3 by time this next one arrives.! Very excited but kinda scared to let myself go incase something bad happens...if that makes any sense !???

Good luck all you ladies !! feet up !! plenty of resting !! (easier said than done eh !) x

StormBird · 14/11/2010 19:05

ooooh the stats list is going, looks as though July 2011 is going to be a busy month.

Welcome to the newbies, congratulations and good luck.

StormBird · 14/11/2010 19:06

that was meant to say growing (not going)

DAaaa!!!

notnearlyasblondasiwas · 14/11/2010 19:55

Is anyone else showing already? I am HUGE! I didn't show the first time round until I was 5 months (am tall and v.curvy) but my stomach is poking out so much already I am scared that people are going to start asking me questions before I am ready to answer them. I am growing out of all my bras too, and have had to put away most of my trousers as they are skin tight. I haven't been eating any differently and am not drinking so can't work out why I am enormous! Am I the only one?

Scarthy · 14/11/2010 19:55

Hi, can I also join?

I got my BFP 2 weeks ago and just found your group. Nice to find ladies in a similar position and getting the same symptoms. I was very lucky with my 1st and so far so good with #2 - just large and tender boobs to worry about! Had my docs appointment on Friday and will need to book midwife app tomorrow (new computer system!)

Can't wait for scan so that I can start to relax and enjoy the pregnancy although gotta say July seems a long long way away at the moment lol.

Added myself to stats.

Sorry meant to also say thank you stormbird and Crazyafterthought for your advice re: my maternity leave.

I am going to speak to my counsellor when I have had my first scan and see if she will fight for me to get the full allowance. The policy used to be that you had to have had 26 weeks continual services, but they have just added another clause to say you must not have ended a previous maternity leave within 12 months of starting the next one. I will be back 11 months, give or take a week depending on the dates I get at the scan. Am not going to worry about it for the time being, more important to have the scan and then will start to worry about money Grin

tebbles · 14/11/2010 20:10

Thanks for all the reassurances! Feel much better now and have some of the (slight) symptoms I had earlier on as well so am still hopeful it's all going well.

Hello,

I have just joined Mum's net and would like to post.

This is my first pregnancy, I am still very surprised as it wasnt exactly planned, but I am so excited, I only found out on Wednesday and did 3 tests to make sure.

I am not registered with the doctor yet, so have to do that this week.

Could someone tell me roughly when the first scan will be please?

Thank you.
