Due July 2011?

MadAboutTheBoys · 24/10/2010 07:42

Just got my BFP this morning and so excited! Managed this conception while DH was out of the country so very chuffed that it worked! Already have two DS, one who is 3.2 and an August birthday and one who is 16 months and a June birthday so bring on the Summer parties!

Have never been part of an antenatal club on here before but as this is planned to be my last pregnancy am hoping to find some other July mums to share the journey with (although know I am very early!) Am already worrying how the birth will go as DS2 was born unexpectedly in the kitchen after a 90 min labour with the midwife only just there to catch him, so am a bit worried if subsequent labours are supposed to go quicker whether I will have anyone with me for this one, but at least I have a while to go yet!

Just Starting to feel sick, had a slight bleed but midwife said it could be nothing as no cramping etc. Never had bleeding with other pregnancies. But will get a scan on Friday for some reassurance. I always have bad morning sickness from 6 wks to 16 weeks and started feeling sick yesterday. I am optimistic that everything will be fine and because it was such a small amount it is nothing to worry about.

Hulla · 08/11/2010 08:53

Mitchell I had bleeding during my last pregnancy & it was fine. At around 6 weeks, 16 weeks and 39+ weeks. No one was particularly concerned about mine either which was a relief. It was usually brown-ish, except at 39wks - that was bright red but they didn't worry about that either .

I heard that you can bleed at around the time your period would be due and when the placenta takes over. MW told me both of these.

Hi, thread has got busy since I was last here!
Have been feeling sick for a week or so and this morning I was sick and have been rushing to the loo all day thinking I'm going to be sick but not actually managing to, I wish I could then I'd at least I'd have at least 10 mins after when I didnt feel sick! Had this in previous pgs and the last was the worst but with none of them did I start even feeling sick before 7 weeks and I'm only 6+2 now, really hope this doesn't mean its going to be worse but I suspect it does!

Dp has just arrived home bearing mints and lucozade, the best antiemetics I have found!! Smile

Cor am I the oldest here? Shock Grin

Symptoms so far have been a little nausea and wanting big tomatoeee casseroley hearty chunky vegetabley stews. All the time! And not chocolate which is most unusual!(although I just forced some down my neck to make sure)

Hulla -your inlaws reaction was rubbish! How to take the wind out of someones sails Angry

Hulla · 09/11/2010 12:47

Hehe! I was going to do that!!

Not more than 8 - have done 5. Plan to do another one on Thursday before I see my gp. I'm really nervous about this pregnancy in a way I just wasn't last time.

We must be due some more bfps soon. I can't be the last one! I found out a week ago!

Eglu · 09/11/2010 13:43

I've done 3 tests and that is a lot for me. I normally believe the first one but didn't this time.

Hulla, I feel the same as you, nervouse this time when I've never felt that before. I think soemtimes once you've been through it and the more people you know with babies that more you know what can go wrong.

I don't think I'll relax until the 12 week scan. That is a while to wait.

I'm excatly 6ks today nad the sickness feeling has throughly kicked in. I'm also exhausted and just want to curl up in bed. The horrendous weather isn't really helping with that either.

Pesha · 09/11/2010 14:56

I did 2 tests because the first test was a poundland test and I wasn't sure if I could see a very feint line or my eyes were playing tricks on me and just showing me a line because I was looking so hard!!
Its very strange because I am actually not worrying this time or even thinking about it all that much, well I am but not compared to previous pgs. But I do have some health problems along the lines of ME or MS type illnesses although nothing diagnosed yet and the cognitive symptoms have been quite significant lately affecting my memory and my ability to think about things and organise myself and multi task so I wonder if my brain just cannot really take the information in fully. I feel a little detatched from it all. Although I have been looking at pushchairs already so not completely detatched!!! Grin

notnearlyasblondasiwas · 09/11/2010 15:13

hulla and eglu, I am far more nervous this time too. I can't really rationalise it and no amount of pep talks to myself are helping.

I didn't get any morning sickness last time or any real symptoms, but did have to have 2 early scans because of very painful cramping which was actually quite reassuring in a way.

It seems like such a long time until 12 weeks and having the scan to see if everying is progressing. I am very impatient! Also am very bored at work at the moment, so finding it hard to keep my mind off all things baby related.

loueytbg · 09/11/2010 16:43

Hello, I'm very nervously checking in. I'm 6+4 but had some brown bleeding last night so had a scan this afternoon and have seen a heartbeat Smile. Had a mmc in March so am still terrified that this one is going to go wrong too. This will be (hopefully) No3 for me, already have twins.

Notnearly - think I beat you on the tests - I've done at least 14 Blush. In my defence I had just ordered a batch off ebay so I haven't paid a lot for them. I did go out and buy a digi as well though.

Wow - it's great to see so many people in here! Have just found out that I have my 12 week scan on Christmas Eve, which if all is well will be such a lovely time for it, especially as I was supposed to be visiting the in-laws then Wink

Am now 6 weeks and have been feeling awful the last couple of days. Am hoping it might just be flu as don't know if I can cope with nausea like this for another couple of months. For those of you that have had morning sickness, do you feel any better if you actually do throw up?

God I am the model of restraint with my mere 2 tests. I might buy one tomorrow just for reassurance before I go to the docs on Thursday.

There is a slim chance I am 9 weeks pregnant instead of 5. Last month I had a very faint positive followed by my period so thought that was the end of it. But my period was very light so now I am wondering.

I'll keep eveything crossed for you Louey

Pesha · 09/11/2010 20:01

Yes, much better if I throw up, well for a short while afterwards until it comes back again. The constant nausea is utterly unbearable and is making me a moody, miserable cow. I hate it. Oh and it's my fault of course and I get no sympathy from anyone because I have been like this in 3 previous pgs and chose to do it again Hmm

Pesha · 09/11/2010 20:08

Sorry forgot to say, very exciting about a Christmas eve scan, I have not even contacted my drs yet! Do I need to see the dr or can I just ring up and ask to make an appointment to see midwife as the dr never actually does anything useful!!

Hulla · 09/11/2010 20:24

I think the GP refers you to the midwife Pesha. I have an appointment this Thursday.

Welcome loueytbg I'm glad the scan went well and you saw a heart beat. It must be hugely reassuring. Smile

Eglu I think you're right. I also think it's because I still feel pretty normal. MadAboutTheBoys how long have you felt ill for? I don't particularly want to be sick but I think I'd be more reassured with ms. Fantastic news about your Christmas Eve scan! How lovely.

beatrix wow! Could you get one of those digital tests that tells you how many weeks you are? That would be a nice surprise, finding out you're a month further along than you thought!

BeatrixRotter · 09/11/2010 21:04

I was just looking into those Hulla. I could potentially do one tomorrow though it might not help as I think it can only tell you 1-2, 2-3 or 3+ weeks from conception. I'll be 5 weeks on Thursday so if I got a 2-3 week result I'd be no wiser. Hopefully my rambling makes sense.

You have my sympathy Pesha sounds dreadful.

BeatrixRotter · 09/11/2010 21:09

I think I meant if I get a 3+ result I'd be no wiser. If I got 2-3 weeks then I know!

I am sooooo scatty at the moment. I keep saying everything wrong like jokingly moaning at DP yesterday to start disrespecting me more! Not too mention going out without my handbag and losing my keys today.

Pesha · 09/11/2010 21:48

Hulla - was worried that may be the case, I know I've always been to the Dr first in the past but was hoping I could bypass that this time!!

My morning sickness is that not that bad I just really hate it and am feeling very sorry for myself and wallowing in self pity!! I know it's a good sign and it is quite reassuring (I'd be desperately worried and longing to be sick if I didn't have it!) but I can't really appreciate that fully at the moment! I can deal with pain and fatigue as I have them anyway and I'm actually looking forward to labour as my last birth was amazing but I just cannot cope with nausea!!

Beartrix - I would sympathise on the scattiness but that is normal for me not a pg symptom!! If I were in your situation I would be tempted to tell my gp I was 9 weeks so I'd get a scan in 3 weeks and know for certain then how far I am rather than having to wait 7 weeks, but then I am incredibly impatient and would do anything to get an early scan!!

loueytbg · 09/11/2010 21:55

beatrix - I would tell your gp you are really unsure and explain about the +ve test before your previous period. They should send you for a scan more quickly. If you are 9wks you need to get in the system quick to make sure your 12wk scan is done at the right time.
