Due July 2011?

1000 replies

MadAboutTheBoys · 24/10/2010 07:42

Just got my BFP this morning and so excited! Managed this conception while DH was out of the country so very chuffed that it worked! Already have two DS, one who is 3.2 and an August birthday and one who is 16 months and a June birthday so bring on the Summer parties!

Have never been part of an antenatal club on here before but as this is planned to be my last pregnancy am hoping to find some other July mums to share the journey with (although know I am very early!) Am already worrying how the birth will go as DS2 was born unexpectedly in the kitchen after a 90 min labour with the midwife only just there to catch him, so am a bit worried if subsequent labours are supposed to go quicker whether I will have anyone with me for this one, but at least I have a while to go yet!

OP posts:

inbetweener · 16/12/2010 14:09

I havent told anyone yet and I am 8+4. Im not going to tell anyone until after the scan.
To be honest I think I am going to wait even longer. This is baby number 3 for me and I know after such a long gap people are going to think im stupid mad so in a way I guess im sort of embarresed. Plus we have a LOT going on at work at the moment and im not sure how well my boss will take it Hmm

Scary stuff !! I havent even told my girls yet !! I have NO clue how they are going to react !

Im growing already too but thats probably just me and my sudden craving for naything savoury or bad for you lol

Quick question for you. I have a horrific headache this afternoon. Im trying to avoid taking any paracetamol but am going to have to cave in I think. How often is everyone else taking tablets/medication ??

hollin · 16/12/2010 15:35

Hi there, can I join too. Details - wolfhound, EDD 9 July, 3rd pregnancy (DS1 is 3 and DS2 is 16 mths). Have been feeling utterly rubbish for weeks, vomiting every day (my youngest crouches next to me & copies...) Scan is tomorrow. Fingers crossed... Congratulations to everyone!

wolfhound · 16/12/2010 15:54

Whoops. Forgot to add, I am 40 (yes, I try and forget that a lot).

Icklelilly · 16/12/2010 16:13

ooh new people - its 'citing isn't it! So many of us now, July is going to be veeeery busy! can't wait for the next 6 and a bit months ladies!

inbetweener - I caved on the meds, have stinky cold, maybe something more fluey, so have taken Anadin extra which the info inside says is safe up to the late stages of pregnancy (last trimester??).

hollin · 16/12/2010 16:29

highheelsandequations · 16/12/2010 16:54

Had private scan today as got fed up waiting for NHS appointment (still haven't even been booked in yet!!!). Everything looks good, heart is still beating away and little Pip has grown to 38.5mm, measuring 10+4 and I'd guessed 10+3 so pretty perfect Xmas Grin

We told my parents around 7 weeks as I was stressing out and needed someone to talk to. Have also told a colleague who knew we were trying (and the whole story of tests and pills etc) so I can talk to someone at work if needs be and had to tell one friend who is also a pole fitness instructor as had to drop out of a pole course I'd just enrolled on (can't hang upside down on poles when pregnant apparently!) Now I'm more confident everything's fine I might tell a few friends but hoping to break the news to most at Christmas Xmas Smile

itsTwiiiiitmaaaaasss · 16/12/2010 17:23

I am prob about 10 11 weeks and won't tell anyone for as long as possible. I'm still in denial tbh and am still waiting for my booking in appointment etc having resigned myself to being pg.

My pelvis is starting to click a bit already and I sometimes get a wee bit off lower back pain. And only my 'fat' jeans (barely) fit. meh.

hollin · 16/12/2010 17:29

Hi all

I have told my parents and 2 close friends I had to tell someone or I would just go mad. It was my xmas do at work on fri and said I could not make it felt so guilty but they would just guess with the not drinking!!!

buttonmoon78 · 16/12/2010 19:52

I think I'm 7 weeks - got a scan on Monday to confirm dates.

I don't normally tell people until 12 weeks scan's happened but I'm not sure how I can make it through Christmas without spilling the beans! We've got my folks and a sister Fri-Mon then we're with my SiL and family over New Year. Normally I'd sink a few with the rest of them but I'll be limiting myself this year so it's a dead give away!

I think that as long as all is healthy on the scan on Monday I'm going to tell them over Christmas.

I saw a possible secret spilling tool today - we've just had a family portrait done so I was looking at frames and saw one with 4 apertures. I thought I could do one for each set of g'parents which had a photo in the first 3 gaps with our DCs and then a blank one with 'to be filled July 2011' in it. Is that cool or naff? I'm not sure!

Def can't have any more after this one though - after a 4 aperture one there were only ones with 10+ frames! Wink

hollin · 16/12/2010 20:10

Button moon78

WOW I'm scared having number 2

sues1974 · 16/12/2010 21:05

Evening all,
cara im as worried as the first time and i thought id be more relaxed 2nd time round. Also with Emmerdale running a Downes story line im starting to worry that i'd have to make a decision on weather or not to have the amnio, then if it is downes weather to keep it or not etc etc. i keep thinking providing everything goes ok its my last pregnancy so i really should relax and try to enjoy it. Roll on week 31 when a baby has a good chance of survival without problems.
Talk of Chinese is making me think i'll order one tomorrow night - Mmmm something to look forward to.
xx

LadyGoneGaga · 16/12/2010 21:54

Buttonmoon - you're due day after me, makes you 8 weeks tomorrow! I like your idea.

buttonmoon78 · 16/12/2010 22:02

I think that's a fairly resounding yes then!

LadyGG I'm not really sure where I am TBH. I put in that DD as it seemed to fit with my initial dates but the scan I had a week last Monday was so inconclusive I've put myself back a bit mentally to prepare for that happening on Monday IYSWIM? There's nothing worse than thinking you're 8 weeks then finding out you're only 7!

I think I may have to head back to Wilkos and pick up some of those frames then Xmas Grin!

buttonmoon78 · 16/12/2010 22:32

So this is odd. If I enter my dates into the bbc pg calendar it says I'm 7 weeks today. If I enter them into babycentre.com it says I'm 8 wks tomorrow, as you say LadyGG.

As if I haven't got enough to obsess worry about...

Stangirl · 17/12/2010 08:37

I feel awful. Terrible nausea - without being sick - so bad I've had to get my Mum up from 150miles away to take care of DD. I am currently 9+3 and didn't have this level of sickness with DD. Those of you with DC already - when did you morning sickness end in previous pregnancies?

LadyGoneGaga · 17/12/2010 08:37

I'd believe Babycentre - not sure what bbc playing at! I see where you're coming from...it's horrible being put back.

itsTwiiiiitmaaaaasss · 17/12/2010 09:30

Morning all, sorry about my grouchy post last night.

Buttonmoon that sounds really nice.

I've noticed there's alot of us with 3 and more lo's on this thread, when I was on one before I think I was about the only one expecting no4! It makes me feel not quite so Blush about no5 Wink

I know what you mean about feeling a bit Sad if the scan puts you back a week or so, it feels like they've given you extra weeks being pregnant IYSWIM.

cara2244 · 17/12/2010 10:24

Stangirl, I Am so much sicker with number 2 than I was with number 1!!
Full on struggling to get out of bed/don't want to eat anything stuff. And I am not a poorly person normally. In fact I am in bed writing this now. LO gets delivered back after lunch so have to start being mummy again and preparing his birthday for tomorrow. Should take my mind off things and I have really missed him.

Sues, I would stop watching emmerdale lol.

Wolfhound, my LO also copies me being sick :) and tells people about it too.

Inbetweener, the doc told me paracetemol is ok and I had to take a couple at the start when I had a water infection. If its unbearable, I would take some.

MissLolita · 17/12/2010 10:25

Good morning all, Welcome wolfhound, I've added you below.
Buttonmoon the picture frames idea is lovely!
I've got my work team lunch today and I'm going to ahve to tell my colleagues as it will be really obvious in such a small group.

I am either 11 or 11+4 (date confusion not yet resolved) so I'm hoping I'm close enough to the 'safe place' to be ok.

I'm slightly dreading telling my colleagues as my promotion was only announced on Wednesday. I told my boss last week as he had been on holiday and me being ill is really out of character; I also knew that the paperwork for my promotion had already been signed off an gone through...I'm just a bit worried that they'll think "oh great, she gets the promotion and then swans off on mat leave." oh well...Blush

Still no sign of my NHS scan date. I'm not sure if I should call someone...?

Just thought I would add myself to the stats.I cant believe how many of us there are in our thirties on here !! Shock

Well am feeling ok today I guess. Really tired though and stupidly emotional. I have been really snappy to dh and the kids and although not all of it is my fault I am def way more miserable. I hate feeling like this and I def hate arguing with the kids Sad

Aghhhhhh I juts wanna go home today and cry. Sorry...

cara2244 · 17/12/2010 11:20

MissLolita with my first pregnancy, I found out a couple of months after I'd accepted a promotion...at a new school! I was dreading telling them but they were really good about it. I started in the September 6 months pregnant, did 8 weeks and then went on mat leave...ouch! It happens.

I've had nothing about a scan or booking appt yet either. My friend got hers at 14 weeks. Maybe they leave it later when it's not your first?

cara2244 · 17/12/2010 11:21

inbetweener I know it's hard when you're busy at work but can you take any sick leave? I was struggling on and just getting iller and iller, but then 2 days off this week has really helped.
