Due July 2011?

1000 replies

MadAboutTheBoys · 24/10/2010 07:42

Just got my BFP this morning and so excited! Managed this conception while DH was out of the country so very chuffed that it worked! Already have two DS, one who is 3.2 and an August birthday and one who is 16 months and a June birthday so bring on the Summer parties!

Have never been part of an antenatal club on here before but as this is planned to be my last pregnancy am hoping to find some other July mums to share the journey with (although know I am very early!) Am already worrying how the birth will go as DS2 was born unexpectedly in the kitchen after a 90 min labour with the midwife only just there to catch him, so am a bit worried if subsequent labours are supposed to go quicker whether I will have anyone with me for this one, but at least I have a while to go yet!

GruffaloMama If it makes you feel any better about feeling huge. I am now 11 weeks, and have as much of a bump as I did at 20 weeks with my first. I know it's my third, but seriously I feel enormous. Lovely consultant told me I was perfect today Grin and I had a huge sigh of relief when he said there was only one in there.

wolfcubEm83 · 14/12/2010 17:14

Hi ladies, can i join???

I had my 12 week scan today, baby was wriggling all over the place and wouldnt lie still for the sonographer to measure it for ages! When it eventually settled down it did a little wave and i cried like a mad woman! Thought i was 12+2 but im measuring 11+4 so my due date is now officially 1st July - so exciting.

I havent put on a single pound, dont have a bump at all and all of my symptoms have gone except sore nipples. I suffered terribly from ms from week 5 until last weekend and lived on jacobs crackers so all of you that are really suffering from nausea the end is in sight Smile

Scottygirl10 · 14/12/2010 17:34

Evening ladies. Sooooo nauseous and irritable! Lucky dh. Welcome wolfcub :) this your first? I'm 5 days behind you, due on the 6th first baby :), I too have been heavily investing in Jacobs crackers! Nibbling them like a deranged mouse most of the day! X

GruffaloMama · 14/12/2010 20:08

Eglu thanks - I'm only 8+6 so was wondering what on earth was going on. Glad your consultant and scan were good!

Hi wolfcub glad you're feeling better. My nausea went with DS when I got to 13 weeks so I'm really hoping it goes by then. BUt much worse this time. Bleurchhhh.

Scotty I misread your post - thought you were saying you were having your sixth baby on the first. Shock (Nowt wrong with that of course but am freaking about coping with two!) Oh dear. Pregnancy brain has kicked in. I need to be under a duvet.

nicolamumof3 · 14/12/2010 20:15

I'm feeling better 9+3 and the ms that saw me almost collapsed in docs surgery and put on meds is passing. Such an amazing feeling I still get v nauseous but can control it now. Still exhausted and certainly not up to date with Xmas or housework but feel so much more normal

wolfcubEm83 · 14/12/2010 21:32

Yep scottygirl this is my first, have been freaking out up until now but im glad ive seen bumpy and my mind is at ease somewhat.

Still havent told my parents yet Blush

scrivette · 15/12/2010 08:36

Thank you ladygonegaga.

Just had date for booking in appointment, I will be 12 weeks for it which seems quite late.

I was pleased to read I am not the only one moaning to DH about not feeling great, he is a saint to put up with it!

itsTwiiiiitmaaaaasss · 15/12/2010 09:53

Ok I am now bored of feeling crap. Still there's SPD to look forward to and then what I'm sure will be a long hot summer just to really rub it all in. I was sick yesterday, which took me right back to my lovely HG days with ds1 & 2, but it has only (so far) been the once so I shouldn't complain, but I'm a bit scared of falling into the throwing up trap and ending up that bad again.
Still, I'm about 10 weeks now, and I think if I was going to be bad I would be bad right now if that makes sense bleurgh.

The MW still hasn't got back to me, I really don't want to phone back but... I just know I'll get 'told off' for leaving it so late.
I had dd's nativity yesterday and it's ds2's this afternoon. I have a sneaking suspicion ds3 will not behave, and as it's in church I feel there is more pressure to behave. Ah well.

itsTwiiiiitmaaaaasss · 15/12/2010 10:14

Has anyone been offered or advised about the flu jab? I have asthma as well and haven't heard anything yet, and I'm still off the system at the moment pg wise.
Or is this something of more concern to those further along?

nicolamumof3 · 15/12/2010 10:34

Twiiiit have you not been booked in yet? I haven't been told anything about flu jab, i had my booking in last week.

I had terrible terrible ms in the early weeks and was given meds for it which i've now come off. But still feel really sick if i haven't eaten regularly therefore feel sick all bloody night long and don't sleep. But its a huge improvement on how i was feeling a few weeks ago.

inbetweener · 15/12/2010 10:44

Morning all,

Bleeding and yukiness has gone away again yay !! Soooo weird. I think DH thinks im using it as a ploy to avoid sleeping with him lol.

Congrats all those who have had their scans already ! Mine is booked for the 6th Jan when I will be 11+4. Weirdly my booking in appointment isnt until the 11th Jan so AFTER my scan ! Weird huh ! Well thats what happens when you try to get booked into one of Londons busiest teaching hospitals I suppose ! Just by working here I know how busy we are !!! Im not too worried though, I can wait lol.

Well my nausea is less I am glad to say. its def worse if I am tired and I am that a lot !! I fell asleep on the sofa AGAIN last night Blush poor DH just isnt getting a look in !

Oh and just to help me start the day DD2 decided to throw up all over the landing this morning at 7am just as I was getting them ready for school and me for work !! nIce !! It then proceeded to drip down the stairs aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ! I had to mop the floor and scrub the stairs, clean her up, put her back to bed and inform her dad he was staying home with her today ! I cant afford to take any more time off !! Not knowing that I will be disapearing in July nest year !!!!!! Great start to the day Hmm

itsTwiiiiitmaaaaasss · 15/12/2010 10:50

No I haven't yet, I'm wondering if I should phone and ask about both things now? Just to set my mind at ease, the jab might be recommnended for later on rather than now what with less lung capacity etc?

Yes, I'm like that, sick all the time (feeling that is)in fact I got up and made a peanut butter sandwich in the night and that really helped. Do you have a snack bag? I carry it everywhere (like I said paranoid about the HG from before Blush ) And also have my ipod and some karvol rub to sniff. These things tend to help at my worse icky feeling times. (lying down, eyes closed listening to the music and sniffin the karvol every now and then)
I saw you had meds, I wasn't offered any with ds1 & 2, although I don't know if they were available (ds2 is 9 1/2). I'm so glad they have helped, it is awful to feel so helpless because of throwing up.

itsTwiiiiitmaaaaasss · 15/12/2010 10:55

inbetweener, it sounds like you're best off out of it, yuk!

It's good to hear things have gone back to normal, it's horrible wondering...what if..
I fall asleep around 8pm get up, eat and go to bed about 9pm, so your dh isn't alone!

nicolamumof3 · 15/12/2010 11:08

yes give them a ring you should be booked in by now Smile

i think they fact that i nearly collapsed in the surgery and was really dehydrated helped me get the meds. The doc actually commented on how grey and awful i looked!! Nice but it did help me feel better and stop vomitting most importantly and actually fancy food again.

itsTwiiiiitmaaaaasss · 15/12/2010 11:34

yeah, it helps if the dr is sympathetic doesn't it, mine was and I found that being taken seriously helped (as opposed to with ds1).

Fine, I'll ring them again, but if they get arsy with me I'll tell them you said so. Grin

Icklelilly · 15/12/2010 11:59

Hey cub - my first too. How many first timers are in this thread? I don't think there are too many according to the stats!

Nice to know there is someone else out there as green as me and not just because of MS. Finding each new little change intersting and a bit scary - I'm sure I have a bump but hubby has just suggested I lay off the biscuits Xmas Angry.

How are you finding it so far cub?

buttonmoon78 · 15/12/2010 12:50

What a day! On my way home from work, I had a call from DD1's school - they think she's nroken her wrist. Apparently she hit it on a desk, there was a loud crack and now there's limited movement and lots of swelling. DH has gone hot footing off to school to take her to A&E as 'she needs someone with her who has a clear head'. Made me v Angry but it's also true! I'm not so good with things like that.

So now I'm sat at home twiddling my thumbs waiting for him to call and let me know what's going on...

The worst thing is, I remember what she was like when she broke her arm 8 years ago. She was awfully grumpy the whole time...

Fraochsmum · 15/12/2010 12:59

Our mat unit do the bookings around the 12 week mark - I haven't been advised about mine yet, but have a scan on 24th when she thinks I'll be 10ish weeks so should find out then.
Our mat unit is holding a party at 2pm for all the babies born this year (DD was the 2nd born in the town) and we/me are very excited! Not showing yet so taking advantage and wearing the skinny clothes before packing them away in the loft Xmas Grin
Good idea to mention the flu jab Its, this weather must be affecting your asthma?

Fraochsmum · 15/12/2010 13:00

That's a shame button :( hope she is alright x

MissLolita · 15/12/2010 13:01

hello all, inbetweener that's really good news! Buttonmoon, fingers crossed for your dh's wrist.

Ickle, cub and Scotty, it's my first too! We should repost the stats...it feels like ages since I saw them last....off to have a look....

'nroken' = broken Blush

Thanks guys.

Forgot to say Inbetweener - glad your bleeding has stopped. Must've been baby just settling in for the long haul.

Am too stressed to eat but know I'll feel sick soon if I don't. It's only 20 mins since DH left but I'm already pacing the floor wondering why he hasn't rung!

wolfcubEm83 · 15/12/2010 13:08

ickle yep im coping ok now the nausea has gone, just glad ill be able to eat my xmas dinner! Im off sausages (yack yack yack) and curry but majorly craving pickled onions and salt and vinegar crisps.

WolfcubEm83: EDD 1/7 pg#1 age 27

OhLoueyTownofBethlehem · 15/12/2010 13:30

Quick post from me - apologies for lack of posting, have been ill and had more bleeding. However I managed to find HB with my doppler last night so am feeling a bit happier. 12wks on Friday and have my scan on Tuesday and I look about 5 months pg Confused.

I had flu jab when I first when to see the GP to tell him I was pg. I asked about it and he offered to give it there and then. I've been knocked for six with a bug which isn't as bad as flu but worse than a cold so god knows how awful flu would be. There is a thread here which someone posted because she didn't have the jab and got flu - worth reading I think.

Big hello to all the newbies. I'm back to the sofa to feel sorry for myself.
