Due July 2011?

Just got my BFP this morning and so excited! Managed this conception while DH was out of the country so very chuffed that it worked! Already have two DS, one who is 3.2 and an August birthday and one who is 16 months and a June birthday so bring on the Summer parties!

Have never been part of an antenatal club on here before but as this is planned to be my last pregnancy am hoping to find some other July mums to share the journey with (although know I am very early!) Am already worrying how the birth will go as DS2 was born unexpectedly in the kitchen after a 90 min labour with the midwife only just there to catch him, so am a bit worried if subsequent labours are supposed to go quicker whether I will have anyone with me for this one, but at least I have a while to go yet!

Morning Ladies,
at last i can sympathise with you, after having next to no symptoms so far i have felt sick all day long since thursday, with it stating at 4am yesterday and today! ehats that all about at week 9!!
congratulations on good early scans.
also those who have had a bit of a bleed, i also bledd 3 times in my first pregnancy, at week 7,11 and 15. my period had been 5 weeks apart so i dont think it was anything to do with that. first was a week of brown blood, then the 2nd was fresh red blood but no pian, so i was really worried but it turned out to be ok. he 3rd bleed was a very small amount of red so didnt even go for a scan.

got a charity ball to go to next saturday that lasts till 1am, dont think i'll be there till then end!
suz xx

inbetweener · 12/12/2010 10:42

Morning all,
Def dont worry about having minimal symptoms. I was fine all the way through my pg's with my girls. No sickness, no sore boobs, nothing. All was fine and they are 6 and 8 now lol.

Shame same cant be said for now. Still feel sick although eating peanut butter on toast gave me enough respite yesterday to get things done.

However last night DH and I did the deed and afterwards thre was a small amount of blood and weird orangey discharge ????? So now have a NEW thing to worry about !!!!!!

Anyone had similar ???

buttonmoon78 · 12/12/2010 19:38

A little brown blood shouldn't be a problem...

My nausea seems to be abating slightly provided I eat regularly and don't drink before I've eaten in the morning... Hmm

Boobs are still sore but slightly less so. I'm only 7 weeks (ish) so I'd be getting slightly worried if it wasn't for the fact that my belly is growing at a rate of knots. I'm liking your idea of scarves Nicola! I've been putting my various pashminas to good use! I can't actually fit in my jeans anymore - not just a case of not being comfy. I feel a maternity shopping trip coming up soon Grin

ZuluWarrior · 12/12/2010 21:53

Inbetweener, this is probably TMI but I have a cervical erosion (entirely benign and non-worrisome inconvenience) and I always bleed after sex. To the point where I thought I had my period when actually I was already pregnant Xmas Smile. Orangey discharge - is it just a wee bit of blood mixed with usual mucus?

cara2244 · 12/12/2010 22:17

Hi
inbetweener I have the same symptoms as you and am about 9 weeks. Threw up 3 times today. I feel like I am just enduring it at the moment! My poor son (nealry 2) copied me throwing up yesterday by holding onto the edge of the loo and pretending to be sick. It's his birthday on Saturday and I have done nothing to organise it yet as I feel so rough all the time. I am normally not an ill person and am never sick so this is really getting me down. All I do is moan.

So no advice inbetweener - I haven't found anything that helps much yet - but at least you're not the only one suffering :0

cara2244 · 12/12/2010 22:18

I also can't believe how much my belly has already grown - I can't even nearly do my jeans up! Am unsure as to how I am gaining weight as I seem to be eating half what I normally do. Never in my life (since last pregnancy lol) have I had to force food down!!

inbetweener · 13/12/2010 09:48

Morning all,
Well today I am bleeding Sad
had on and off brown discharge since friday night and woke up this morning to more brown discharge with red/pinky trails to it this time.

Im not sure what to do really. I had this at 6 weeks and dashed to EPU. I had to be rescanned at 7 weeks and all was fine. Dont think I will go to EPU this time though as really what will be will be and cant stop anything if its going to happen can I !.

Im 8+1 today and have my midwife booking in appt on saturday so i guess unless anything hugely drastic happens I will just wait.

Can help but feel slightly deflated.

Had a horrible weekend with DH as we were really sniping at each other and dont think it helped that he fely guilty cos this has started after we had sex !! Not sure how he will handle it if I tell him its now off the menu till July 2011 lol !!

Right better do some work i guess and try and resist dashing to the loo every 5 min for knicker checking Sad

MissLolita · 13/12/2010 10:25

Inbetweener don't panic - I've got everything crossed for you xxx

Ivegotmrbitey · 13/12/2010 10:28

Hope everything is OK inbetweener, thinking of you. Sorry your weekend was rubbish too.

I am taking against things at the moment. I made a roast chicken dinner yesterday with all the trimmings ( was very excited about it) and then threw up after one mouthful of chicken. It suddenly smelt disgustingly of chicken! This morning I thought I could smell it in the kitchen and was sick again. In fact thinking about chicken is making me heave now!

Jelly babies on the other hand have become a staple food stuff and rather oddly, I have become a fan of grapefruit which I always hated before.

buttonmoon my boobs got less sore then the cat used them as a spring board to leap across the room and I nearly passed out from the pain! They're back to a general level of soreness now.

nicolamumof3 · 13/12/2010 10:35

inbetweener thinking of you and hoping all ok.

im starting to feel a little better as long as i eat regularly. Still struggling with drinking tho. As soon as i've eaten i take that energy burst as a chance to do a few jobs.

inbetweener · 13/12/2010 10:44

Ok I have just been googling and have decided to relax and not panic so much. Apparently spotting after sex Blush can be quite common and DH was taking his time ...double Blush so it could just be a bit bruised. OMG I cant believe I typed that lol.
Soooo Im not going to stress. What will be will be.

Still have horrific achy boobs and just stupidly hormoanal. I want to curl up and cty at everything !! This really, really is soooo diferent from my other 2 pregnancies !!!
Confused

nicolamumof3 · 13/12/2010 11:47

oh inbetweener, step away from the google lol! i think i've found this pg far more terrifying than my last due to more access to internet tbh!!

inbetweener · 13/12/2010 12:39

Yes I think thats probably true nicolamum

Can i ask, are you already a mum of 3 or will this be number 3 ? I am currently pg with my 3rd and will have a 7 year gap between the new one and number 2 so a bit nervous !! How was going from 2 - 3 for you ??

Or shouldnt I ask lol Grin

buttonmoon78 · 13/12/2010 12:50

Hi Inbetweener - hope everything goes ok for you.

To answer your question to Nicola...I had a 7 year gap between 2&3. It was lovely. Both DDs were very helpful and loved their brother right from the word go - no toddler jealousy to contend with!

What I find hard now is balancing all their very different needs - I've got a 13yo and a 3yo - toddler tantrums and teen tantrums. Eek!

I love it though and as you can tell from the fact that I'm now pg with #4, I wouldn't change a single thing!

nicolamumof3 · 13/12/2010 13:23

inbetweener i have three already..all boys! Have done both large gaps ds1 is 11.5 and ds2 is 5 in a fortnight so similar gap to yours. Then DS3 arrived within 18m so last two close together.

The large gap was lovely in that DS1 was at school all day so could dedicate day to baby and routines. DS1 found it not too bad to adjust considering he'd had me to himself for all that time. He was very helpful too.

Was also lovely having the last two close together. Tho by the time this one arrives ds3 will be starting reception so again it will be lovely one on one time. I don't think i could do that close gap again..double buggies...two in nappies aaaargh!!

inbetweener · 13/12/2010 13:54

Thanks girls x
yes I had 2 under 2 at one stage ( my DD's are 18 months apart ) and it was VERY hard. It was such a huge shock going from one to two that I think thats another reason why im so scared this time around. Life is pretty simple at the moment with a 6 and 8 year old. I didnt get out of bed till 9:45 on saturday morning as they were downstairs munching cereal and watching t.v lol. I will have to give all that up wont I lol !!

I am looking forward to introducing number 3 to them though and I am optimisticly hoping they will want to help and fuss over it Hmm just hope im not wearing rose tinted glasses lol !!

Oh and quick bleeding update: it seems to have stopped at the moment after havin brown yukiness all morning. So I am hoping thats becuase its stopped and not becuase I have been sitting at my desk all morning and not moving around Xmas Confused

nicolamumof3 · 13/12/2010 14:02

hope it has too, these early weeks so blooming stressful and hard aren't they.

you will have two little helpers then that will be lovely Xmas Smile

right i think i've re-couped some energy so must finish my cleaning marathon.

Fraochsmum · 14/12/2010 08:23

Hope all goes well for you inbetweener, but if it's really playing on your mind you should go back to the EPU.
Eeek! There will be 18m between my 2 as well! I thought it would be better to have them closer together, I'm 33 now and we aren't planning to have any more. I know I've got my work cut out though Xmas Smile
zulu I have the same as you - was noticed at a smear 3 1/2 years ago, but has only ever manifested itself in early pregnancy.

notnearlyasblondasiwas · 14/12/2010 11:02

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been around much. I am struggling with our renovation coming to a head, spent all weekend laying floorboards and filling skirting boards, am certain I shouldn't be doing all the stretching, lifting and painting but I have no choice if we want to be in our house for Christmas. When we move in we will still have to complete the bathroom and kitchen, so it is going to be a very busy Christmas break. I am just knackered!

Has all been quite stressful at home because DD has had a chest and ear infection and has been up and down all night for the last 2 weeks too, couple with working fulltime, I am ready for the funny farm!

Went for the booking in appointment yesterday and got my date for my scan - 23rd December - yay! So fingers crossed everything will be fine or will be a very sad Christmas for us.

Was also good as I got to talk to the midwife about giving birth, had a 2/3rd degree tear last time and wasn't stitched under anaesthetic because I was in the midwife led centre (was worse than giving birth) so they didn't do a very good job as I got quite distressed (funny that!) and am very anxious about tearing as badly or worse this time, so she is referring me to the Dr to discuss at my 16 week appointment.

Hoping everyone is feeling a bit better today and the nausea is abating for those still suffering. And sorry for the all the moaning, just read my post and I sound like a right whingey mare!

Ivegotmrbitey · 14/12/2010 11:21

notnearly feel free to moan, but when I read your post I was just amazed and impressed by how much you are doing!

I don't mean to come here and moan either but as so few people know in RL I need to tell someone I was so sick this morning I have had to work at home to hide my pale shakey face from unknowing colleagues!

I have been fielding work emails from blackberry while lying on the sofa groaning but suddenly feel fine so better do do some actual work Xmas Wink

Orchid12 · 14/12/2010 12:04

Bitey sickness is officially crap!! Mine is abating a little now which is great, but I do know how you feel. For several weeks I just wanted to curl up and die because I felt so hideous!

Am now down to one, or less, voms a day which is a great result. The tiredness is now more overwhelming than the sickness. Have got my scan on Thursday - I'm quite terrifed but not sure why. I had a dream last night that I was 20 again, and at uni. I was PG and terrifed and thought I was too young to have a baby. Given that I am no longer 20 (sadly), have a job, and already have one child I don't know why I'm quite so scared? Anyone else having wierd dreams about being PG?

inbetweener · 14/12/2010 12:26

I have been having weird dreams yes ! I cant sleep either. Lying in bed absolutely kills my boobs !! They are like huge heavy rocks !! I am a 36E bra now !!!!!!!!

Well I am still spotting brown grossness. Its not red and its not gushing so I am putting it down to just " one of those weird pg things ". From going from symptom free, easy peasy pregnancies one after another I am getting slightly Hmm at how different this one is !!! I dread to think what my labour will be like after two easy ones with no stiches !!

Still feeling quite sick in the evenings and it def gets worse if im tired !!

On a positive note I went to my 6 year olds nativity this morning before work and it was just lovely. She looked so proud of herself singing away and dancing. Awwwwwwww. There were lots of babies and toddlers being noisy and boistrous in the aisles and it suddenyl occured to me that Im gonna have to be dealing with that next year eeekkkkkkkk! What have I let myself in for !!

Seeds of doubt keep popping up all over the damn place !

Mitchell81 · 14/12/2010 12:47

Oh I know what you mean about what have I got myself into with having a 4th child after having to take two moaning children home from my parents house this morning. I think how am I going to cope if my 2 boys are still going through terrible 2's and 4's. Although they will be 3 and 5 when baby arrives so fingers crossed they get better.

Still feeling and being sick but every now and again and think that I am feeling slightly better. Have scan on Thursday when I will be 11 weeks by my dates. Fingers crossed all goes well.

Eglu · 14/12/2010 16:12

Hi everyone trying to catch up with how everyone is doing. Have been feeling really tired and not got on here much.

I had my scan today, and baby is measuring perfectly for 11 weeks. I was so nervous beforehand and told my lovely consultnat this. He said it is perfectly normal to be more worried the more children you have.

As soon as I saw that heartbeat I relaxed. I came out grinning like mad.

Hopefully this means the ms and tiredness should start to wear off soon.

GruffaloMama · 14/12/2010 16:15

inbetweener glad to hear that you're okay. (if feeling sick and having sore boobs is okay...)

mitchell I am in awe of anyone who can cope with being preg with more than one dc already around - I have a toddler and can't imagine having more little people. Seriously sick this time and still having occasional panic attacks in case it's twins.

Can't believe how early I'm showing this time. Stomach is already poking out. Trying to disguise at work until I get to 13 weeks. Never going to last - but hoping they'll put it down to massive christmas over-eating/drinking. Xmas Grin
