I have a friend who is convinced babygallic will arrive early and asks every day if there's any movement then tells me at least 2 methods of starting labour naturally. It gets a little repetitive after 2 or 3 days. She'll come in her own time.

Mind you, I have had to point out to my mother that just because I'm not in touch every two days, it doesn't mean I've had the baby and I'll let her know when she arrives. Of course, I might leave it a day or two if I'm feeling particulalry evil [grin

NoLadyButManyBubbasAndBumps · 10/01/2011 17:05

Seriously rock our bodies seem at one - mine slowed right down since I did the big wash loads and friend came over. Ever so slightly crampy, but nothing like the night and this morning. Boo! I could do with it coming now, then I have three weeks of just me and baby at home with the girls in full-time nursery - they drop down to two days in Feb, so the earlier the better for me. Still - have the sweep booked for tomorrow, so fingers crossed and legs firmly spread! :o :o (that's how I got into this trouble in the first place Hmm :o Wink

Having got my CDs ready, still can't find the blimmin' CD walkman Angry. DH was a bit surprised by my GnR choice, and said he didn't think the song "Welcome to the Jungle" would be appropriate. I said, consdering I haven't tended to my fanjo in months, it would be more than appropriate! :o :o :o

Anyway, enough of the TMI. Loving that you're all desperately on the hunt for Krispi Kremes. If only I was on commission for them! For those of you who don't have 8 outlets in a 5-mile radius, <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=farm1.static.flickr.com/162/364153965_e4039946fd.jpg&imgrefurl=www.flickr.com/photos/mmmfruit/364153965/&usg=__SeJ-MpNeTHZtBhKp0MhnuncxpGE=&h=333&w=500&sz=104&hl=en&start=8&zoom=1&tbnid=OQmPHK6lSmBT0M:&tbnh=141&tbnw=188&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dkrispi%2Bkreme%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-gb:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7GGLL_en%26biw%3D1007%26bih%3D476%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C346&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=534&vpy=130&dur=1000&hovh=183&hovw=275&tx=114&ty=115&ei=vjsrTaLOHYLB8QOayYisAg&oei=tjsrTYm7OtO7hAfj37ieDQ&esq=2&page=2&ndsp=8&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:8&biw=1007&bih=476" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here's a little treat >>double evil :o :o emoticon

AmIGoingMad · 10/01/2011 17:16

Wow- I have never tried a krispy kreme and am not on the verge of trying to track some down to truly understand! Grin
And thanks for the info on the head engagement measurement- see I told you how clueless I am! Blush
I finally listened to my natal hypnotherapy CD- and promptly fell asleep- oops! No idea what the content of it was but certainly worked on the relaxation front! Let's hope it works subconsciously hey?!

I've also just realised that I am apparently allergic to finishing a sentecne with a full stop instead of an exclamation mark!
I still haven't packed my bag either Blush
Still can't decide what to take for birth and also what to take to travel home in - fairly certain I'll get straight into PJs when I arrive home Grin

AmIGoingMad · 10/01/2011 17:17

am NOW not am NOT!

gallicgirl · 10/01/2011 17:21

Are you using Welcome to the Jungle as baby's first song? Shock

I keep telling my DP to prepare a playlist but he thinks I should do it seeing as I'm the one who's supposed to use it to relax. Might just make it up as we go along. God knows there's enough tracks on our i-pods. Not sure what I'd choose as baby's first song though.

CupcakesHay · 10/01/2011 17:33

Shock my baby's going to come out to Glee music - or possibly Bruce Springsteen! it'll be dancing to show tunes at the age of one i'm sure!

I think i have your exclaimation mark obsession too ami!

And bubba you make me laugh!!! Legs firmly spread!!! Grin

And lovely picture of Krispy Kremes... mmm...

Still having fish & chips tonight! So excited!

Pleased cramps are stopping for a little bit for bot of you girls!

Oooh - and my maternity jeans have got tight and uncofortable - so i think the baby's moved down slightly more....

Honestly - what did i do all day before everyone was on here all day?

NoLadyButManyBubbasAndBumps · 10/01/2011 17:40

Noooo, don't be pleased - I want my cramps to devleop to full-blown contractions please. Thank you kindly.

1st DD's music included GnR and Wham Blush Hmm - obvious combination!!! I was thinking more along the lines of Sweet Child of Mine but talk of Tending to Lady Gardens (or rather not) made me think of how apt "welcome to the jungle" might well be Wink :o

Enjoy your fish and chips Cupcakes - might dig a pie out for me and the DH tonight. Just ordered an online drop tomorrow from Sainsbo's including ready meals - 1st pg I was making lots of homemade food to freeze beforehand. This pg I've not bothered in the slightest! :o

gallicgirl · 10/01/2011 17:56

Chicken noodle soup for us tonight...followed by pineapple Blush

We have put a load of meat in the freezer so we shan't starve if we can't get our act together after baby is born. We've also started using online shopping to help out.

I'm just debating a little bit of domestic goddessicity before the DP comes home so it looks like I've done more than sit on my bum all afternoon!

travispickles · 10/01/2011 18:12

May I join? I am due next Monday, does that constitute late January?

NoLadyButManyBubbasAndBumps · 10/01/2011 18:20

You may of course join travispickles - welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy :) We're a nice bunch, if a little obsessed with Krispi Kremes and bra sizes atm :o

RockLover · 10/01/2011 18:22

I'm lucky that I have a very domesticated DP and I don't have to do stuff like cooking meals in advance to stick in the freezer as he does most of the cooking already.

Yesterday he made us a roast, today he assembled a very lovely salad with left over chicken (although I whacked a baked potato on for DD). He now has the chicken carcass and some veg boiling away to make a stock for the chicken soup he is making tomorrow with the rest of the leftover chicken. I am mega crap in comparison. Blush

He is a bloody Godsend, I would be lost without him even though I feel like such a lazy cow. I really must pull my socks up (domestically speaking) once the baby is here.

Just eaten dinner and now have a period tummy ache, but not contractions (thankfully). What the hell does that mean??

Ryuk · 10/01/2011 18:22

Of course you may, travispickles. Welcome! :)

I'm glad other people are also worrying about playlists. I'm wondering whether The Dresden Dolls would be a bit... hardcore? Am thinking of just deciding at the last minute, but then I go back to worrying about it anyway.

CupcakesHay · 10/01/2011 18:25

Another advantage of being at mum's - no matter how dull the dinners are - at least I don't have to cook them...

Right girls - off for my plaice..yummmmmmmmm!

See you tomorrow. And sorry bubba forgot you want the contractions to start! Naughty baby bubba hurry up and come!

gallicgirl · 10/01/2011 18:44

Hi travispickles and welcome.

rocklover - my DP is very domesticated too and puts me to shame while masterchef is on as all his meals come out looking pretty while mine are a tasty mess on a plate. I do feel bad for him because he has a mega cold at the moment and yesterday he cooked roast chicken while I fell asleep Blush but he's very understanding and easily pleased with beer and cake.

RunningKatie · 10/01/2011 19:07

Hello travispickles

Apparently the nearest Tescos to me that stocks Krispy Kremes is 46.7 miles away. How is this? Is the East Mids not a place for them?

AmI - I listened to my cd this afternoon and DP came home to find me asleep listening to it, so the relaxation bit definitely works. I don't think I've yet managed to get to the end of it Blush

I haven't packed my bag as such, more lobbed stuff onto the bed that needs to go into the bag. Must introduce it to the bag at some point.

Must do something about the lady garden too, I figured after my swim that maybe I should have done it earlier. Whoops.

Going to watch One Born Every Minute at 9pm tonight, if that doesn't motivate me to sort myself stuff out I don't know what will.

ZippyPippy · 10/01/2011 19:25

ha ha you all crack me up, I love the hunt that is going on for krispy kremes, luckily I had one last week and the memory will keep me going until I can get one again Grin

My mum has treated me to a pregnancy massage tomorrow, how sweet is that!? Can't wait!!

running I'm also going to watch one born every minute tonight even though I've realised I HATE it - seeing all those women in agonising pain that will soon be me is a bit like a horror movie but I just can't stop myself watching.. Hmm DH REFUSES to watch and says that I will be 'much more dignified than those women howling' and I try and explain er no probably not!!

bubba I really hope the sweep has the desired affect tomorrow and that we will soon hear news, so exciting!!

RunningKatie · 10/01/2011 19:30

Zippy - as long as DP doesn't start inflating the disposable gloves as per the last series of One Born I'll be happy. He does have the odd bounce on the birthing ball and I really have visions of him toppling off the back of it.

Bubba - yes, no pressure but hope the sweep goes well. One of my RL friends keeps going for them and being told her cervix isn't ready. She's a bit peeved now as she's 8 days overdue.

NoLadyButManyBubbasAndBumps · 10/01/2011 19:39

Yes, that is a worry runningK as I won't be due for another 10 days but as they can't induce me and they want to promote a natural birth (and I want one), they'll do all they can to help me get my fat baby out of me!!

Crystylline · 10/01/2011 19:39
