Good job muser! Grin

This is a really fantastic NOT list - given that we're all barren and old. Didn't we do well? :)

PerfectDromedary · 01/09/2010 10:02

Just marking my place - and wishing to praise the Mitfordness of this. Huzzah!

Bring on the MadLadeez.

Cosmosis · 01/09/2010 10:02

Well surely Artie HAS to arrive during this Fred???

I think we should start off with some nekkid dancing to welcome the newbies, it's lovely to see so many!!! I will do hula style dancing as it's supposed to help get baybees out. It didn't really need to be told by TGO to my dad when he phoned the other day though, I think my dad thought I was menkul.

Muser · 01/09/2010 10:05

Can anyone tell I'm reading the Mitfords at the moment?

MrsFC hope you don't mind me adding you to the NotList. It's only done once a thread and I am sure you are more pregnant than me so ought to be on. Even if you lack a due date for now. What a lovely long list of noobs.

Backinthebox · 01/09/2010 10:16

How exciting! Lots of new Peshlets, and lots of imminent excitement (get on with it Cos and Skates. I am completely incapable of moving my arse these days and need someone else to have a baybee to keep me entertained till mine makes an appearance.)

While officially my due date is not till next week, I'm going to let you all in on a secret at this point - when I had my dating scan at the private scan clinic they told me the size of the baby then was consistent with a due date of..... da, da, daaaaaa!.... today! The hospital people have got the 7th stuck in their mind though, which suits me down to the ground - I get extra time there to avoid the slice and dice method of delivery. So, I am all systems go on the bouncing ball, curries, reflexology, walks, and yes, secks.

OH was mightily pissed off last night. He was the only sober bloke on the brewery tour, which must have been like some kind of mediaeval torture (I remember the first half hour of a distillery tour once Confused.) He had thought he was staying sober to come rushing to my side if need be. His mates thought he was sober in order to give them all lifts back all over the place. He got in very late and absolutely fuming. (Not your OH at fault Clucky - the guilty party for this arrangement was the one who is like Jack Dee.)

I was also a bit pissed off too. I have changed all my Tesco Clubcard vouchers for the double value special offer that has to be used up by this weekend, thinking I would buy a year's supply of nappies. Sadly, everyone else has had the same idea, and they have sold out of nappies with not coming back into stock before the vouchers run out. So I had to buy £90 worth of random stuff instead. Hey, it was free money though, so I suppose I shouldn't be that cross about it.

MrsFC · 01/09/2010 10:17

Hello all - thank you for letting me join! I'm 19 weeks due Jan 2011 & have my big scan next Friday. And YES I'll be finding out the sex - I'm FAR too curious not to! I reckon it's a girl - which doesn't bode well for her if it is - I'm 5'10" and MrFC is 6'4", and neither of us are what you could describe as willowy...

How is your sickness Muse? Can you manage more than half a sandwich for lunch yet?

And Cass, you too - how is the puking? Did it go right through 40 weeks with your first?

Finally drom - absolutely FAB scan photo xx

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone else...

SkaterGrrrrl · 01/09/2010 10:21

Morning, gin hounds!

PerfectDromedary · 01/09/2010 10:25

Yo, MrsFC. I can't believe you have the Big Scan next Friday - you're just motoring through the second trimester, aren't you?

Skater! How are you feeling?

Cosmosis · 01/09/2010 10:35

ooh scanz, exciting!

skates not queue jumped yet then??

Cosmosis · 01/09/2010 10:37

Although, I'm not sure it would be counted as queue jumping now would it, more like I am queue lingering Grin

laurielou · 01/09/2010 10:56

coss I mean this in the nicest way possible but was hoping not to see you still here!

Pliz to be having another hot curry & some nipple tweaks.

You too skates

VAG got my eye on you for the next few weeks too.

Am also liking the non-list. Not a bad effort girlies, not bad at all. Sorry to be letting the side down Sad. Though I plan to be a trail-blazer for the MAD. Oh, yes.

laurielou · 01/09/2010 10:58

Crap! Massive faux pas - boxer Blush You can have a speshal naan bread with your hot curry. How dare I not mention you too?

Headbanger · 01/09/2010 11:11

I feel like I did when I was a fourth-former, gazing at the cool girls in their artistically torn tights, hanging out in the sixth form house smoking and reading The Bell Jar...

MrsFC · 01/09/2010 11:32

If only I was as thin as a sixth former head, if only.... But my lack of sleep from weeing and achey hips means I DO have very smudgy eye make up circa 1987...

Nice to meet you cos - have you tried reflexology? Even if it doesn't work its ever so nice... Pineapple too...

So - as the new girl, I am desperate to impress my new friends and have brought along a huge tub of Ben n Jerrys Baked Alaska to share. Hurry - before it all melts

Casserole · 01/09/2010 11:47

Hello all Smile Fanks for new fred Musalot

Tis a better day today, you'll be relieved to hear, mainly cos I won't be bleating quite as plaintively. Have Kept Stuff Down, oh yes. Have booking in appt with m/w later so am going to try and time a vom on her shoes if she suggests ginger... Grin

PerfectDromedary · 01/09/2010 11:57

Mmmmmm, ice cream.

Cos Apparently acupuncture can also help bring on labour.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 01/09/2010 11:57

We simply assumed it was because all the polar bears had been saved - but now I see it's because MrsFC has been using it as a fertility aid! Hmm

PerfectDromedary · 01/09/2010 12:05

www.benjerry.com/hubbyhubby/ This was the best B&J flavour EVER. And they no longer sell it in the UK, the bastards. They haven't for the last 8 years, but I still remember it really fondly.

Muser · 01/09/2010 12:08

Please don't Drom, I loved Chubby/Hubby Hubby so much. It was heaven in a cardboard tub. I miss it so.

I am aspiring to be on the Not List soon. MrA has promised. I know he promised last month too but this time he means it.

I have two confessions. And I am not embarrassed.

  • I know nothing of the Mitfords other than they had something to do with Oswald Mosley.
  • I have never had Ben and Jerry's.

There. See you soon Grin.

FannyPriceless · 01/09/2010 13:26

www.dartstables.com/

Blast! That's what came up when I pressed the paste button. Instead of my lovingly typed post which I've just lost.Hmm

Still, looks nice, doesn't it?Grin Anyone fancy joining me? (I just sent the link to MrP telling him my life depends on visiting there.)

Anyhoo, my lost post said something like:

  • Stop hassling cos. Artie will know the right time to come. And that time will be simultaneously with skater and boxy. (Well, it would make good sport, wouldn't it?)
  • The tub of Ben & Jerry's Phish Food in my freezer is in great danger of being eaten mid-afternoon if we keep talking about icecream.
  • Lovely to see the newbies settling in! Please help selves to the pate, undercooked eggs, and deli items which have been sitting out on the table for hours. Tuck in!
VoilaAnotherGimlet · 01/09/2010 13:37

Ooh love the new Fred...and am glad am still not at the top of the list!

Hello Aries! Pull up a birthing ball!

Welcome to Mrs FC too!

Have been ironing sleepsuits. Is this nesting madness or simply effect of daily chats to iron-wielding mother?

MrsFC · 01/09/2010 13:38

Hubby Hubby looks LOVELY. I'm so jealous of those of you that have tried it. Anything with peanut butter in just CANNOT be wrong.

(Who has given up peanut butter? Not me - I love it so....)

Oh ski you have found my secret - I am now very concerned I shall be spawning a bear cub....

I know nothing of the Mitford sisters either - cept what Head told me at lunch today - which wasn't much as I was pretending to know already...

So - I joined Slimming World today - in an effort to stop eating said polar bears. No idea how much I should be gaining though - any one know?

Oh I DO love it here so!!

Headbanger · 01/09/2010 13:44

I want to be a PESH

I joined SW too . I haz gained 1 stone 6, which is obviously shittingtons, but I thought it was at least a stone so I don't feel toooooo much like crying...

Muser · 01/09/2010 13:49

There's a chart on this website that gives guidelines on gains depending on your weight pre-pregnancy. www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/physicalhealth/weightgain

I am not worrying about weight gain, as I still weigh 9lbs less than I did before I got pregnant. I am just trying to be sensible about food, especially now I feel less sick during the day so could eat.

On that note I HAVE NOT THROWN UP TODAY!!! Bloody marvellous.
