Bugger - that says 1st 11lbs. I've gained 1st 2lbs already. Ho hum - all that Ben & Jerrys & peanut butter I suppose.

This is what happens when you feel sick but never actually are!

Part of me is envious of your 9lb weight loss - but knowing how it came about makes me grateful for my lack of puking... But brilliant about not throwing up! How many weeks are you now?

MrsFC · 01/09/2010 13:57

And head - don't be blue - the CBFM will work this month - betcha.

Backinthebox · 01/09/2010 13:59

Fuckety bollocks. Baby has been very good and been well positioned for MONTHS and has now decided to start rolling the wrong way round. So that's it for me - the next however long on my hands and knees of everything!

Muser · 01/09/2010 14:00

14 weeks. And seriously, don't envy the weight loss. It has been grim and had me worrying that I was depriving Bob of vital stuff. In actual fact he was getting all the good stuff and I was left feeling awful.

I think I'm starting to put on now anyway, not planning on getting obsessed about weight gain though. I can always lose it afterwards.

Boxy, get on that birthing ball and BOUNCE! Turn baby turn.

Ariesgirl · 01/09/2010 14:01

Mrs FC, you and Head have had lunch? This is so unfair! I want to have lunch with my BESH sistahs.

Don't cry Pencil. You iz perfect

Glad to hear of the non-puke, Muse. That must be refreshing. Have you tried ginger Grin?

Don't get too excited VAG. I'm only pooping in, sadly.

Ariesgirl · 01/09/2010 14:01

pooping popping. Twat!

MrsFC · 01/09/2010 14:10

Muse, I have always been and always will be in total awe of your stoicism. If I'd had your first 14 weeks I would have moaned and moaned & I've never seen you do it - not even once.

I think Bob will probably spend the next 18 years depriving you of good things, he's just starting how he means to go on.

And I'm joining the chant 'Turn BabyB, Turn!'

ginhag · 01/09/2010 15:44

Sorry for prolonged absence due to stuff n ting.

Just wanted to say I love my gp! Had talked to midwife re worry about endless stomach bug from morocco. She was not really any help and also said they couldn't/wouldn't listen for tiny's heartbeat until I was at least 16 weeks.

Gp however was a lovely man (as always.) doing a poo test for poss parasitic thing (the joy!the glamour!) and just spent god knows how long determinedly seeking out the heartbeat.

Took ages but I heard it, is all as should be and I am Grin

anyway, as you were.

vag I heart you too.

PerfectDromedary · 01/09/2010 16:05

Oh YAY for your GP, ginlove. Fantastic news. Apart from the poo test which is like, ew.

Muser · 01/09/2010 16:54

Yay for lovely GPs. Did you have to poo inna box for the test? Friend of mine regaled me with tales of pooing in a box, then decanting it into one of those pee jars for the docs. Lovely.

OP posts:
FannyPriceless · 01/09/2010 17:44

Yay for ginbabyheartbeat!Grin

I once had campylobacter. I had to send a poo sample to the docs every day for a week. It was summer.

Medee · 01/09/2010 18:15

Hurrah for fabulous new thread, muse - I have just been reading Debo's letters to Patrick whatsit - hers were full of fun, but his were a bit dull. The Mitford letters is a fab book for anyone who wants to read more about them.

I'm glad you went with the Haribo one, as I admitted to myself today that I am definitely showing. Now, maternity tights, what do I need to know...

Gin what a great GP, and good news to hear a heartbeat.

Muser · 01/09/2010 19:00

MrM took a picture of me last night and I look deformed in it. I think it's the angle, I have a tiny upper body and then MASSIVE belly and EVEN MORE MASSIVE arse. If my arse looked smaller in it I'd share, but as it is I am far too embarrassed.

Had to go for the Haribo Medee, I love them. Especially the red & white hearts. I have not investigated maternity tights yet but have decided leggings are fantastic. I'm sure someone recommended Mothercare to me though. Apparently they have nice ones, not just american tan.

MrsFC I am sure I have moaned on here and I have definitely moaned incessantly to MrM. Bless him. I try not to do it publicly though as I know some people end up hospitalised on drips with hyperemesis, and I wasn't even in the same universe as that. It also at least meant I felt pregnant.

I now appear to have rediscovered my appetite and then some. I feel like Audrey 2 from Little Shop of Horrors. FEED ME!

OP posts:
MrsFC · 01/09/2010 19:15

Hi gin, we haven't met - I'm Mrs FC, a closet lurker Pesh friend of headbanger. Great news about the heartbeat. I know when I heard mine it made me want to buy a doppler of my own, but I thought that would just add to my crazy!

ginhag · 01/09/2010 19:18

Cheerz birdz. He was really reassuring too. He is just what a gp should be like. Hurray.

Well I am rocking the 'ET' look currently. Have a truly comedic pot belly. Mr gin just started laughing at me...apparently it isn't just pie tho, the doc commented today that my uterus was higher than expected, it has decided to properly pop out and is already doing weird things to my bellybutton. The rest of me is still skinny-ish tho, apart from a bit more buzzwamage.

I have just remembered my secret haribo stash. Will have to put mooch to bed sharpish. Only the fizzies for me tho.

In other news I very nearly passed out walking home. This is not really a good thing. I would like it not to happen again pleasethankyou.

cos n box mooch was overdue to. People really do start driving you mental. I went through a phase of just saying 'what, the baybeee? yes I had him aaaaaages ago. Do try to keep up!' which was quite effective. Also there is an actual law that if you are past your due date then you are allowed to inflict violence on any askers if stupid questions. Well it would be an actual law if the besh pesh fesh posse ruled the world.

ginhag · 01/09/2010 19:19

'should be like'???? How much more westcountry could I possibly sound???

ginhag · 01/09/2010 19:21

And toO obviously. I am not a total dunce despite all appearances.

ginhag · 01/09/2010 19:27

Hello mrs fc I have been lurking so I know you even if you don't know me

am not buying a Doppler. I am pretty convinced I will be feeling movement soon ish and will be able to reassure myself just by poking belly/eating ice cream. I am stupendously relieved that I haven't broken the baybee by contracting some evil infection tho. Rationally I knew it was unlikely but I am def more anxious this time round.

CluckyKate · 01/09/2010 19:43

I is wearing maternity tights today Meds - M&S ones....NOT impressed. Crotch is hanging somewhere around my knees & is most annoying. Have got some JoJo ones to try next so will let you know how I get on Smile

Hello to all the new blud - so lovley to see so many new faces round here.

Box - baby can turn in the blink of an eye. If you remember my little one was in perfect position right until the contractions started & instead of turning just 1 inch for perfect positioning she went the other way & attempted her exit back-to-back. Harumph! Looks like she may be left-handed so perhaps that is why she went left instead of right Hmm....so being rightly positioned is'nt necessarily good [nods].

Hurray for hearbeats & the weeble look too Grin

Medee · 01/09/2010 20:31

the Debenhams ones seemed to be favourably reviewed on their website in comparison to the M+S ones, though I would naturally be drawn the latter over the former.

SilverSky · 01/09/2010 22:51

Evening PESH posh birds!

Liking the new Deli so I am. Bring on the poached eggs!! Scrummy.

I have been out for dinner but am still hungry! I have sweets in the biscuit jar that have my name on them.

Hello to the new ones - welcome welcome to the nuthouse deli of delights!

Apparently my bump has changed shape. However with only 12 days at work left I am not buying any more maternity clothes. Honest. Tho my jeans are not going to last the distance. It's gonna be legging city for me. Sexy non?

boxer get ya'self scrubbing on dem hands and knees! Baby turn turn turn turn!

Backinthebox · 02/09/2010 08:11

I have been on hands and knees a lot. A position OH finds himself strangely drawn to!Also reflex lady is coming today, and apparently she can do things to 'suggest' to the baby to get back in the right position. She can even 'suggest' it gets out of there altogether, but not with a 100% guarantee. If nothing else, my feet feel lovely after she's been and it's always very relaxing. Even more so because today DD goes back to pre-school - yay! Love her to bits, but it will be very nice not to have her hanging off me 24 hours a day. She's looking forward to it too.

Silver - leggings! Oh, I dream of being able to fit back into leggings. Right now, the only clothes I have which fit me are 2 pairs of linen shorts, 2 pairs of black giant tracksuit bottoms, and a pair of jeans which have been through my pregnancies, my sister's and several others, and are looking distinctly grubby and frayed. Even my maternity t-shirts don't stretch down over the full enormity of the bump any more.

Gin GP sounds fab. It's always nice when you find a health care professional who treats you like a person - makes you wonder why they can't all be like that!

ChoChoSan · 02/09/2010 09:20

Good morning!

I have spent a fortune recently on maternity clothes - ASOS do fab maternity and it is relatively cheap AND my diffed up BF who is 3 months ahead of me is passing on clothes, but still seem to need something new every 5 mins - I suppose it doesn't help that I need a separate wardrobe for work.

Anyway - got this to wear to an event tonight - Riaowwww! my first ever leopard print! I shall be wearing with hair up, black platform peeptoes and red nails - Bet Lynch style

Cosmosis · 02/09/2010 09:26

boxy when you say wrong position do you mean breach or back to back? little Artiebugger is back to back, despite me doing all the right things - spending at least 2 hours a day on all 4s, bouncing on ball, walking, not lounging on sofa blah blah blah. Little shit.

I'm with you on the clothes though, I have 1 pair jeans which show expanse of belly no matter what top I wear as I can't pull them up far enough, and 1 pair tracky bottoms I can't wear unless it's quite cold. hey ho.

Parents and MIL officially drove me potty yesterday with when is this baby coming demands.

Am off to hossie soon for another sweep and postponement of induction discussion.
