Hi everyone,
Sorry for being AWOL since we arrived back in the UK been busy readjusting and sorting things out.
We are moving into our own place tomorrow, its back in Coventry where we were before but can't wait its small and going to be a little cramped but need our own space again. Will have no internet for i don't know how many weeks but may beable to use families so will try and keep up Smile

maxxymoosmummy · 18/09/2010 09:06

morning all, had an early night last night and slept like a baby. was really tired so needed it. DS is still fast sleep now, waiting on him waking up. cant believe how cold it has got all of a sudden. its awful.

SMITHY hope move goes well for you. and glad you made i back to the uk ok.
boots all sound lovely Smile
i got DSs a few weeks back with his hat and coat look very cute on him Grin

RUGBY???? ( cant remember if it was you, but i did get to little angels, and as usual DS loved it. he didnt want to come home though which is a first. he wanted to stay and play with the trains and train table.

hi everyone, cant remember anything else. hopeeveryone is well.

essenceofSES · 18/09/2010 21:42

Hello everyone!

Tink - those boots sound really cute. Great shopping (as ever!)

MMM - I'm v Envy of your nice long sleep! Don't remember the last time I got to wake up past 6.30am!

Smithy - glad you're back safe and sound. Hope the move into your own place goes well and you manage to keep in touch on here

Rugby - ouch at the root canal! Realy pleased that the nursery/work juggle is working. Hope the teething improves soon.

Diege - has you ov turned up yet? I'm sure mine went AWOL last month. I did find it dificult to track my temps properly though with O waking at random times. This month I've set my alarm for 6am and do it then as O usually wakes up around 6 to 6.15am. So far (on CD5) my temps are a lot more stable than last month - all between 36.20 and 36.30 so hoping this month will actually produce a textbook cycle and a pregnancy! (I don't ask much I know!)
Meant to say also, that your photo of J on your profile is gorgeous! He's got a lovely cheeky smiley face :)

Gruff - glad you're managing to keep on top of the sickness. Not easy I know!
V impressed with GC's speech. O has a few core words / sounds that only DH and I really get.

Cant - hope you're doing ok with your meds and that the sickness isn't taking over. Can't imagine having to cope with bad sickness and 3DC. I - like Giraffe - wondered if your friends are able to help out at all?

Giraffe - sounded like you were having a busy/tiring week. Hope you're having a nice relaxing weekend to make up for it?!

Hello Sorky, Moos, Bumps and anyone else lurking too :)

We've just been really busy still and O has either a virus or really bad teething related cough/runny nose. He keeps waking up coughing poor thing! GP has given me a standby prescription for antibiotics incase it turns green or he gets a temperature. I've got his room well vaporised with a plug in menthol and eucalyptus thingy. He has been suffering with teething but we now only have 4 more teeth to get!

I've also got my new car from work. It's a toyota prius and arrived with just 5 miles on the clock! I love it but it is a bit strange to drive as it's a hybrid so switches between using petrol and electricity automatically and has an automaic gearbox. I also can lock/unlock and start the engine without taking the key out of my pocket! As long as I have the key on me, I can touch a sensor on the door handle to lock/unlock and just press the power button to start the engine! I think I'll have to drive DH's car every so often so that I remember how to drive a "normal" car!!

Tomorrow we have my parents coming round for a meal. I'm cooking a roast in my new kitchen for the first time :) The kitchen isn't completely finished yet but it's almost there - just need tiles on the walls and floor and some painting. I've got a leg of lamb to roast and then going to do bread and butter pudding. Think I'll be like a beached whale by the evening!

Right I've waffled enough! Hope you're all having great weekends :)

GiraffeYoga · 19/09/2010 11:04

Quick good morning here.

Smithy- great to see you back. Hope you are online again soon

Ses- great news about the car and kitchen. Hope the meal goes well. Hope DS gets better soon.

Great to hear from you SES- my ovulation seems to be imminent (pos on opk yesterday and today) but dh ill Angry.Honestly, what can you do with them Hopefully he will have turned a corner tonight or it'll be the insemination pot for him Thanks for commenting on J. Cheeky is the word! He's been impersonating an ambulance siren all afternoon - cute at first... Meal plans sound great - I'm a veggie and my mouth was watering Grin
TINKS, sounds like a great day with just you and dh, very Envy. Bet you got a lovely sleep too. Great links too - loving those boots!
MMM nice to hear from you. How are things going with the cleaning job? Did you speak to your supervisor about the work loads?
GYO get you with your homemade pasta sauce Wink. Bet it tasted yummy though. It's a tin of dolmio here or nothing Grin.Having said that, I have run up a batch of cookies and scones this afternoon,so not doing too badly in the Nigella stakes.
SMITHY, good to have you back here and fingers crossed internet connection doesn't take too long to sort out.
Bit stressed out here with dd3 and her constipation. As you may remember, she has chronic constipation, ongoing problem, under care of hosp with long terms meds. All fine until school started and it's all relapsed as she won't'go' at school (plus they're not exactly hands-on there as they are in nursery). Hoping to get clinic appointment anyway this week to sort, and for dd2's excema on her face...dh poorly too, but man flu variety...anyway,enough whining, back soon!

Very lazy here - me and GC got up at 9.50am this morning (GC had huge sleep 7.30pm-9.50am) What is that all about? Not that I mind of course! Grin

I usually post pointless drivel!

Moos - glad you're enjoying your new place :)

Hello Giraffe and Gruff

Sorry really tired so off to bed but didn't want to "not post"

Will catch up soon. Hope you're all having a good week. Diege - did DH recover in time for ovulation?!

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 22/09/2010 12:11

very quiet
tyre blew on car yest ok now

eyeing up gorgeous todd;er beds on gltc getting nov

Diege · 22/09/2010 14:40

Hee hee SES yes, despite dh being too 'ill' to gof on the day I got my pos opk, it was also pos the next day so did the deed then.Temp rose day after that,so seem to have just got the egg!
I am totally shattered; the new term has well and truly arrived and everyone is running round trying to sort out staffing and timetables. Half of me is thinking I must be crazy to even contemplate getting pregnant now, what with my history of sickness, but time is against me..
SES where are you up to in your cycle now?
TINKS bummer about the car. Were you in it at the time or can you blame dh?Wink
MOOS great to hear from you -new house sounds fab x
Hi GYO,GRUFF,all pointless drivel welcome Grin
Working from home today as took dd2 to GPs with her excema. It had spread from a patch on her chin to up and over her eyes but we saw the surgery skin specialist who was brilliant and has prescribed her a combination of emollients and steroid creams. SES (you knew this was coming Grin) could you tell me the difference between hydrocortisone cream and corticosteroid? Is the latter a slightly stronger steroid?
DD3 also settling down a bit with her constipation, but school really posing a challenge with her 'routine'.
Hope everyone is ok x

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 23/09/2010 09:16

hi diege Grin i feel shattered too

waiting in for next parcel today Grin

GiraffeYoga · 23/09/2010 12:08

Morning all

Quick one from me.

Diege- ov and GOF sound promising. :) Got everything crossed for you. 2WW now!

Hi Tink. Retail lead of theGrin wagon- do you know about ordering from Verbaudet? I ordered Friday and I've not heard or had anything yet. Is that normal?

We've had "One of those weeks". Outbreak of some infection at SGs nursery. They have health protection agency involved as so infectious. COnsequently kids only have to blink and they are being sent home. They are even doign checks at front door. Its great they are taking it seriously but SG got sent home tuesday after one slighly soft nappy (sorry TMI). She has this all the time anyway and hasnt had any more since. So we've had a perfectly well child at home for 2 days whilst work has gone bat-sh*t for both of us. I've been working til midnight and doing daycare by day :-S we are all shattered. She has just gone back- fingers crossed she doesnt actually get the bug now as that will mean another 2 days minimum away....
Better do some work
Hi to all the lurkers... I think we need a HONK to pull the lurkers out of the woodwork!

OP posts:
Diege · 23/09/2010 13:51

I'd say 'one of those weeks' is an understatement GYO Shock. I think I'd be a bit Hmm about dd being kept off like that, though I suppose they have to err on the side of caution and all that. Was it something super-infectious?
TINKS,hope your parcel arrives!
Well I will try my best to honk at the appropriate time but no symptoms as yet (although only 4 days post ov Grin).
Oh and we're changing internet providers today so will be cut off at some point and may not be back for a day or 2 - just booking a provisional absence in!

GiraffeYoga · 23/09/2010 14:36

Permission granted for absence Grin

TBH i'm very Hmm about it. Its Cyptosporidosis.

The usual rule is 3 'unusual' nappies before having to go home.

The SG has this most days with her digestive issues which the nursery are well aware of.

The HPA changed rule to one nappy like this and the nursery said they cant take into account issues that might cause child to have odd nappy like teething and other things e.g. like SG is most days. She gets one (after a perfectly normal one) and she is sent home.

DH is livid and wants to write and complain....

OP posts:
GiraffeYoga · 23/09/2010 14:37

sorry thats not spelt right but hopefully you will get the idea...

OP posts:
tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 23/09/2010 18:54

hi girafee - you can check on your account the statues delivery they usually take up to 7- 10 days so yes would say normal

sorry to hear about ill @ nursery!!

hi diege - yes parcel arrived grin]

essenceofSES · 23/09/2010 20:47

Hello!!!

Diege - hydrocortisone is a member of the corticosteroid family but it is the mildest one. I fyou've been given another, it will ber a higher potency. Just remember that you only need to use a very small amount! Sounds like your DD2 has had a nasty outbreak. I hope it's improving now.
Fingers crossed you caught ovulation ok!

Giraffe - crypto can be very nasty so I hope the SG stays clear. V frustrating that after just one not-abnormally soft nappy, she had to be at hone for 48 hrs - GRRR!!! I guess it may have been down to the decision of the HPA?
Have you and DH been able to share the time at home with her?

Tink - what was in your next parcel?

I'm looking forward to next week as this one is pants! Nothing going right at work and O suffering with teething again !! Last night he was screaming with pain at 3am. Gave him a dose of ibuprofen as well as paracetamol and let him sleep in bed with me whilst DH went off to the spare room!

As for ttc, I feel like there's just no time to think about it, never mind do the deed! I think I'm on CD10 and have just warned DH to be preparedfor 7-10 days time but he has pointed out to me that he told me earlier today that next week is a busy one for him at work next week. Hopefully one month, we'll be able to co-ordinate everything together and actually GOF at the right time!

Hope everyone else is doing ok!
