Thinking of you today Can't. Wondering whether you're not on because things are happening or because you have better things to do with your Sat than be on MN GrinWink

cantmummyhaveabreak · 12/03/2011 14:48

Well I got a bath and it helped ease tightening so I could sleep. Went for a potter about ikea this morning... Kinda wish I hadn't as the baby is so far engaged I can barely walk for having a head between my thighs... That'd also causing me to feel swollen and sore down there, as if my lady-bits have done 10 rounds with mike tyson! Still been having mild tightening too, but I was in slow labour with dd1 for 3 days before I finally had her- so we could be like this for a few days yet.

tinksbabyis2 · 12/03/2011 20:31

GingerbreadGiraffe · 13/03/2011 12:14

Morning all
Thinking of you Cant!

Hi everyone else. We are off on hols tomorrow so will be quiet for a bit. THough I might try and log in on my phone to keep an eye on any deliveries!

essenceofSES · 13/03/2011 14:06

Hello all!

Ginger - enjoy your hols :) Are you going somewhere nice?

Cant - hope all well with you. Your friends must be getting very excited!

tink - hope DD2 is feeling better today?

Diege - hope you're doing ok too and those symptoms stay just at the right level - enough to reassure but not so much they make you feel too bad!

This week has been ridiculously busy abd I could do with a break! Things are busy at work though and then I had my personal training session Monday evening and Church stuff Tues & Wed evenings and then all day yesterday. Thankfully DH was great about me being out so much but that's probably partly as he's out all today at the rugby at Twickenham! We may actually get to see eachother at some point!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 13/03/2011 16:22

afternoon ladies.

Ses- i was super busy the week before last, even on DH's days off i had something on- so know how you feel- it's odd when you live together but dont actually 'see' each other!

Have had no more tightenings since yesterday, can still feel the babies head very low tho... very uncomfortable!

Have spent the day sorting the dining room/playroom... Got the DC's a tv and dvd player in there for them now, just need the futon (which i'm hoping to get on tuesday) and we're almost there... looking at getting some new doors, as we removed the dining room and kitchen doors when we bought the house as they were bloody awful, it'd be nice to have nice new matching doors throughout the whole house.

GruffaloSoldier · 13/03/2011 19:52

Evening all,

Good to hear that you have had no more tightenings Cant! Baby needs to stay put a bit longer! It's funny that we are due so close together again. :)

Giraffe - Have a great holiday! Sounds like you need the break so I hope you get a nice big rest and come back feeling lovely and refreshed!

Ses - Busy here too! Just feels like you never stop doesn't it!? Hope this week is a bit calmer for you!

Diege - great that you are feeling nauseous! Grin

Tink - sorry that DD2 is ill. Hope she is better soon!

Rugby - hows the sleep intervention going?

Hi Star, hope all ok with you??

Well we have had a a busy week and an even busier weekend! It was dh's day off on Friday so I went out for lunch with a friend with no children, was fab! :) PIL came down on Fri too and brought us loads of boxes for the move. We also started clearing out the loft which is quite a mission but we have made a good start and we have been sorting/packing/ebaying/freecycling all weekend. GC has been a little star and has been entertaining himself well while we have been getting stuff done.

We are hoping to have some news soon (maybe this week???) of when we are going to exchange/complete etc. I am getting a bit nervous as time is ticking and we have nowhere to live yet and there is only one place we really want and that could go at any time :( Not to mention that in 5 weeks and 3 days I am going to be having another baby! Eeeek!

Hope everyone is having good weekends!

tinksbabyis2 · 14/03/2011 09:12

essenceofSES · 14/03/2011 09:26

Morning! Just taking the opportunity of a train ride to work to check in! Off to do 2 presentations for some trainee Store Managers - one on recruitment and the other clinical governance. Bit varied but hey!

tink - glad DD2 is better

Cant - hope that baby stays put a little while longer!

Gruff - only 5 weeks to go!!! Shock and Grin
Hope everything goes smoothly with the move.

Rugby - my weight loss plan is not going well. I just feel hungry the whole time! How are you getting on?

Hello everyone else. Have a good Monday!!

Diege · 14/03/2011 09:34

Hello! Well hyperemesis is upon me, so I'm not faffing about this time and have an emergency appointment this morning where I am going to demand some cyclazine!! (CANT, was this was you were on?). I have been given the 3rd degree by the receptionist already, so have played it up a bit (as you do) but I am a woman on a mission now!!
CANT. how are things this morning?
GRUFF, I will have my fingers crossed for you and the house - I remember all too well how stressful it is waiting for the magic completion date.
TINK< glad dd2 is on the mend Smile
SES, me and dh stock up our credits re: going out too...after my weekend away away I am having to bite my tongue about his plans for the coming week!
X-factor was very good yesterday - all performers v.good (though Matt a little full of himself..)
Right, had better out my best pathetic face on and head for the drs... Blush

essenceofSES · 14/03/2011 09:41

Diege - I forgot you were at XFactor! Good luck at GP.

Diege · 14/03/2011 11:41

I have the drugs!!! Grin I am now of course obsessing over the safety of cyclzine, though I do know it's got a proven track record. I must now try and repair my make-under (I looked appalling in the drs, greasy hair, eye bags, spots, which was the look I was going for) but it's dh's birthday and he's back home for lunch so must make the effort!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/03/2011 11:43

Diege- Yes, Cyclazine is what i was on, got put on it at 5wks pg this time round. I found that if i took one tablet first thing (normally it was after i'd been sick as i was sick the second i opened my eyes) it would last, most days, till around bedtime. The prescribed dosage i was given was 3 tablets a day, but i normally lasted on 2 a day till about 16wks when i managed to wean myself onto 1 a day... They try to limit how much they prescribe anti-sickness round here but i managed to cope with a bit of careful rationing till 22wks (when i was last sick) on what i was prescribed. I still actually have one tablet left- kept saving it for an emergency 'pukey day' but it's still on top of the bathroom cabinet!!

Are you still good for sunday? I'm going to check train times today so will let you know what sort of time we'll be in at Liverpool station, but hoping to get a train that gets us there around 10am-ish...

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/03/2011 11:53

Just looked- U.St is open 10-6 on sunday... best train we can get is an 8.50am which gets us in at Liverpool at 10.24am. (one before that is 5.20am Shock)

So if we aimed to meet in Liverpool station where we met last time for around 10.30am would that suit you? Then get the underground train to the other station closer to U.St like last time? Your DH knew that better didn't he?

Then to get us home at a reasonable time we'd have to get a train no later than the 5.30pm one which would have us home for 7.10pm (plus a bus ride home from the station)... but if we were able to drag the kids away sooner the 4.30 train would have us home in better time for school the next day- but one late (well later than the normal 7pm bedtime) wont harm them. :)

Diege · 14/03/2011 12:25

Hi CANT! Those plans sound fine to me, and I think they'll be gagging for an earlier finish if we're there from the start. I'll check the trains here too and let you know. Thanks for the cyclazine tips. I've also been prescribed 3 a day, so will try what yoiu suggest. GP was quite surprised I was feeling so bad so early (5 +4) but as we both know early sickness is a classic with hyperemesis!

bumpsnowjustplump · 14/03/2011 13:45

Diege I feel your pain, and sickness and my job dont go well together as there are too many triggers... bleugh.

Although I havent actually been sick I feel sick all the time no matter what I do or dont eat, I am craving anything salty though so crisps are my stable diet at the moment.

I have just finished my weekend on and i am so so shattered. Started at 5am both days and finished at 9.30 that night. I have told no one yet and have my fist appointment at dr on friday which usually includes a scan. As soon as I have that one done and dusted we will be spreading the word. Although I wont tell work until I have too as they may cut my hours and label it safety, I need as much money as i can get at the moment and am paid hourly (well acutally 1/2 hourly but thats just splitting hairs lol)

bumpsnowjustplump · 14/03/2011 13:46

Blush staple diet not stable diet

tinksbabyis2 · 14/03/2011 14:22

Hi

Diege sorry 4 sickness ! Glad u hv tabs
Hi can't
Bumps sorry for sickness 2
Hvng gd day here nice quiet mon

Rugbylovingmum · 14/03/2011 14:23

Hi,

I am sitting in the car with the laptop mnetting while DD has little nap in the back after our busy morning at the softplay. It's so nice to have the good weather so we could go out to see the little farm bit and play in the huge sandpit etc instead of being stuck indoors. I hope the sun sticks around for while - at least 6 months would be nice Grin.

Well my short science workshops went really well but I was exhausted afterwards - we had 10 groups of 15 children Shock. They were key stage 2 so about 7-10 yrs old I think and very enthusiastic which was good. I'm really proud of myself as I don't really like speaking in public and I was landed with all the presenting at the last minute but I actually really enjoyed it Smile.

Gruff - I hope you get some good news with the house soon! I can't believe you only have 5 weeks to go, it's gone so quickly. I've been so busy with work and this outreach stuff that we gave up on the wake to sleep thing - I tried for 3 days and she was sleeping about 30min longer but not enough to make it worth the alarm going off at 4.30am! She slept until 6 again this morning so I'm hoping that will continue.

Diege - hope the meds work

Cant - how are you feeling today? Any more tightenings?

Ses - my weight loss isn't going too well either Blush. I haven't been very organised about making sure we have easy stuff in while I'm so busy and I haven't had time to do much exercise. I haven't put anything back on luckily but now things have calmed down I need to do a food shop then start this 30 day shred. Let's both try to have a good week this week!

Bump - boo to feeling sick Sad.

Starshinetiger · 14/03/2011 14:47

Any thoughts on a new thread title ladies? I'm not feeling too creative - was up til 1am last night working Sad and then DD in with us from 3am Hmm. Still she's napping now and DS is busy making a card for her - 2 tomorrow - Eeeeek! Grin

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/03/2011 19:42

Star- happy birthday for DD tomorrow!!

Rugby- hello, no more tightenings since a few mild ones yesterday. still feeling swollen down there, but i gather it's just because the baby is going so low into my pelvis. At MW tomorrow so will bring it up tho as i never got swollen by the head engaging with my 3.

Bumps- salty crisps were my 3 daily meals for a good few weeks. Even despite the sickness tablets i still felt nauseus most days and the salt somehow helped.

Diege- glad you got some cyclazine- just see how you get on with them, and IME they kick in very fast if you do start feeling sicky... And plans sound good for sunday. As for GP being surprised- i got fobbed off with some weak anti-sickness stuff to begin with for DD2 as i went before 5weeks pg with her too. This time i again went before 5wks and was given the good stuff straight away- no questions asked!! I've been sick before 4wks pg with my 3 pregnancies when i've had Hyperemesis. It's odd looking back at DD1's pregnancy and i had nothing- and yet i wasn't worried by not being sick!!

Anyway- DH wants the PC now so i'm off. might get on tomorrow but with DH off, and friend coming over for MW app i may be a bit busy.

tinksbabyis2 · 14/03/2011 21:47

Nite nite

Moosy · 14/03/2011 22:05

VITAMIN B6!!!!!!!!!!!

Diege and Bumps, get yourself some vitamin b6 tablets and take 10mg 3 times a day. It doesn't stop you being sick, but it does stop you feeling sick. DO IT! DO IT NOW!

Glad you're feeling sick (for the reassurance), but hope it doesn't get too horrendous and eases at the textbook 12 weeks!

Hello everyone else, must go, bed calls

GruffaloSoldier · 15/03/2011 09:03
