I've become obsessed with my LO arriving by his duedate, else he'll be 14 months younger than DS2 but two years behind in school. Why is this driving me crazy? Also this is the most pg I've ever been--in all 3 previous pg's I'd had my babies by now. I feel that in light of so many others' much more serious complaints I really have no right to whinge . . . but I'm fed up with being so massively huge that it's hard to bend over, struggling into compression tights each morning like a beetle on my back for the sake of all my varicose veins, which tights also contribute to my feeling incredibly hot all the time and make my thrush worse. Last night I pulled a muscle in my bottom which was compounded by my feeling a pinched nerve in the top of the same leg, so I was literally hobbling around shouting expletives just trying to get my dinner. I WANT HIM OUT, NOW.

Rant over. Pample, I'm particularly appalled by your mw. I really hope you're able to complain or get someone else to help you. The last thing you need is poor care just because your mw happens to be an incredibly b. And Vix, Ishe, Marzi, Doodley and LCR I am sorry for all your waiting and bouts of misery. Here's hoping things start to go, go, go, more quickly and easily, for all of you.

Aussie - I feel like I might be last! LO showing no signs of being ready to go anywhere - if they don't give me a sweep today I'm going to look up how to do a DIY one. Or perhaps not lol

Pample My sister had a similar situation to yours wrt room and induction at your hospital, shocking to hear of it happing more than once tbh. I hope things are progressing for you and you will soon have your scrumptious little bundle home in your beautiful nursery (very of that btw )

F is still being a darling and today i fed him away from home. Only at a BF support group, but feel really positive about it (had been having a couple of wobbles due to pain!) He is latching on correctly and feeding for a good 20mins most feeds. Nipples are getting better - thank god!

Word of warning to you ladies who have just popped/still waiting: Do not weigh yourself after having the baby, you will be disappointed! I thought "Well at least i would have lost at least 9lb2oz" But no, i had lost 7lbs - How is that possible?

Alice I haven't weighed myself since I was 10 weeks (and neither has my midwife) so I have no idea how much I weigh. Ignorance is bliss!

Congrats to everyone who has popped, I'm still here waiting and so bloody hoping I can go naturally before Sunday. Not much time left now though...

Yay our baby girl is here! Sadhbh Lillian was born in the pool at 6.16am this morning weighing 8 lbs 3. It was very quick and intense. Waters broke 1.30am, fierce contractions at 2am, left Brighton for Crowborough at 4am terrified that they'd send me home but I was already 8cms! So into the pool and she was born soon after. She's a little beauty and we are madly in love.

Not long left waiting room girls, promise xx

Hurray, LCR! Congratulations! What a fantastic birth, too. That's amazing.

Got a sweep from registrar at hospital appt this afternoon, which was, unsurprisingly, not too comfortable. Unfortunately I also kind of forgot about how messed up my pelvis is and after doing the whole heels together, knees apart thing I've really done myself some damage. Can barely walk now, in loads of pain I'm an idiot! I did tell the doctor about the SPD beforehand tho...

Anyway, I'm tentatively booked in for induction on 8th September which is FOREVER away so really hoping that I'll go on my own before that. Esp since my blood pressure, which has been mostly low throughout, is now high and there's trace levels of protein in my wee so it's all starting to take its toll I think. Going to bounce around on gym ball for a bit tonight if dodgy ligaments allow and keep my fingers crossed. Ho hum. Baby is already roughly 8lb 2oz - trying not to think about how I'm going to get that out of me!!

I have a m+p pliko pramette - getting a m+p herbie in hot n bothered. 2nd hand but has only been used 6 times and still smells new. Comes with carrycot and footmuff, change bag etc - £100!!!!

Beautiful scarlett emmeline arrived by emergency section three hours ago.9lb12 she would apparenty never have come out of her own accord. More in a few days. Thank you all for your wonderful support. Had lovely midwives today! Xx

Just wanted to let everyone know that little Abigail Catherine arrived on Monday the 23rd at 2.44am. We've had a rough few days but things finally seem to have calmed down. She weighed 7lbs, 7 oz for the list. Hope to be able to catch up soon and share the birth story.

Anyone online this early?? Help!!

After sweep yesterday which thoroughly wrecked my pelvis I was up a bit during the night with twinges/cramps. Then there was some yellowy gunk (lovely!) and then about half an hour ago quite a lot of muscousy blood (again...nice!) which I'm pretty certain was my sh=ow.

Doc said yesterday my cervix was open but hadn't shortened much, before the sweep.

But now I've been having what really feel like cx for last half hour, mostly lower back, realyy, really frickin painful, can barely breathe or speak during them. Have taken paracetamol, have hot water bottle and am typing on all fours (everyone get a good laugh at that image btw!)

Could this be real labour, so soon after show? SHould I be timing cx? Or am I just a complete wimp who is mistaking early/spurious labour for the real thing????

Your advice much appreciated - I'm freaking out!!

Hey littlemiss sounds promising! I had lots of period twinges straight after my sweep then 36 hours later, straight into established labour, things quickly ramped up but like you, wasn't sure that was how it's supposed to be . So time them, see if they are regular & call the labour ward. Exciting, very good luck to you xx

Sounds like labour to me littlemiss! Especialy if you're on all fours! I'd start timing contractions and phone your midwife - looks like you'll be cuddling your little baby very soon! Good luck!

I'm still here, just waiting :( went for long brisk walk yesterday, ran up and down stairs many times and ate spicy food but it really feels as though this baby is never coming of his own volition. 12 days late now, looks like hospital tomorrow for me.

sorry you're still waiting vix, so frustrating when you're doing everything right but baby still seems uninterested in coming out. I've done sex, curry, walks, pineapple juice and even nipple twiddling(!) but all to no avail. My family and some close friends have been up on holiday near us this week but are going home today so won't get to meet the baby until they can visit again (very long way for most of them) :(

Unfortunately even after all my waiting i had to have a c section.

We are both fine although i am still coming to terms with not having a natural birth :(
