He just rang me! Said he has neck and back pain and is going up to A & E when he has had a brew and a cuddle with Lewis

Said that he was on his way to work and the traffic was very heavy. Somebody was waiting to cross at the pelican crossing and the lights started to change. The woman in front slammed on her brakes when she could have gone through the crossing, Danny swerved his car a little bit to avoid smashing into the back of her and the bloke behind has hit him. Sent Dans car in a big circle and hit him so hard that he has the impression of a Volkswagon badge imprinted in the back of his car.

They have exchanged details and the bloke who hit him was mortified and couldn't do enough to help him. He has just said the car hit him on the side where Lew's car seat is. The door has been hit so hard that the car seat has the door almost embedded in it. He was sobbing because he said that if Lew had been with him he doesn't think he would have survived the impact.

shelleylou · 28/06/2010 09:24

thats sweet re ill go after ive had a cuddle.
It certainy sounds like he was hit with a lot of force. Thats qite scary. I would have thought the same if ds had been with me.. Bless him hope hes ok and you are

shabbapinkfrog · 28/06/2010 09:36

I feel better now I have heard his voice. He just texted to tell me not to tell my parents until he has been to the hospital and got the all clear. he knows they will be mortified and worried sick. Also feel better now I have actually been physically sick - OMG the older I get the less well I cope with dramas like this!!

Oh yes you Shelley - whats all this about missing periods LOL I sounded like my Mum then - she says things like 'lesbians' the same way - no sound just the over exaggerated lip movement

shelleylou · 28/06/2010 09:47

I can understand him not wanting to worry your parents. That is a big drama though... its a huge fear of mine being hit by a car or one of my family being involved in a crash..

Hehe. I can just see you doing that. I've decided im ignoring it for today couldnt deal with it. as i could just have a longer cycle this month...

im just listening to 1 of dbs favourite songs... quite strange as its about death. Going on to eminem in a few minutes. DB2 and i were singin it while his best mtes were being told chorus is so true

He just rang and said he is at the back of a long queue to see the Doctor! Behind several nutcases, children with crayons up their noses, a bunch of young lads with England shirts on who are drunk!!! Just a normal morning in A & E by the looks of it!! Just rang my parents to let them know. Both of their voices changed the minute I told them....could hear Dad fighting back tears.

shelleylou · 28/06/2010 10:35

Thanks sassy, i've got 1 upstairs but i dunt wanna do it,. I dont want to find out today, will leave it a few incase its just stress which is highly likely.

lavandes · 28/06/2010 11:04

shabs so sorry to hear about your Danny's accident, I hope he will be OK and am thinking of you all today xx

crumpette You have enough grief to deal with, you should not have to put up with any more from your selfish, thoughtless partner.
You deserve better than that, kick the bastard out, he is not worth it. Take care xx

shelly hope you get the 'result' you want.

I am sitting here trying to make sense of this shitty life I have beeen thrown into. I have always tried to be a good mother and granny, and this is my reward.

shabbapinkfrog · 28/06/2010 11:15

I know what you mean in your last sentence Lavendes - doesn't make much sense to me either love. xxx

shelleylou · 28/06/2010 11:59

I'm not fussed what the result is either way would love it to be positive but dont expect it to be. I just dont want to find out today its strange how i realised today but nevermind...

Deemented · 28/06/2010 12:45

Oh Shabbs - i'm so glad he's ok - my heart was in my mouth reading that. Hope you're ok too, my lovely.

shabbapinkfrog · 28/06/2010 13:56

my lovely lad is home. He has severe whiplash and back pain because of the impact of the car that hit him. Said that he is almost 100% sure the lady in the car in front was on her mobile and only saw the people crossing at the last minute.

Im sooooooooo proud of him. He said its just a central reservation type of crossing and the primary school kids were half way across. He said the front driver spotted them at the very last minute and he knew he had to swerve so he didnt hit her. Said that had he hit her she would have ploughed into the kids. He said in that split second it took for him to decide to swerve he thought of our Matt and wished the man who killed him had thought for a split second.

Dan is ok but he says he is sore everywhere....the man has admitted liability and they are going to try to sort out his car and give him a courtesy car while they are doing it. He is having tomorrow off and then says he is going to try to go in work on Wednesday. Oh what a day xxxxx
