Many thanks to ILike for passing on the baton to myself and Harry . I know we are a bit previous but I am worried I will get the timing wrong .

I feel like I have only been here a wee while but it is invaluable to me .

This is a poem that has helped me in the past .

I have not turned my back on you
So there is no need to cry.
I'm watching you from heaven
Just beyond the morning sky.

I've seen you almost fall apart
When you could barely stand.
I asked an angel to comfort you
And watched her take your hand.

She told me you are in more pain
Than I could ever be.
She wiped her eyes and swallowed hard
Then gave your hand to me.

Although you may not feel my touch
Or see me by your side.
I've whispered that I love you
While I wiped each tear you cried.

So please try not to ache for me
We'll meet again one day.
Beyond the dark and stormy sky
A rainbow lights the way.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 27/04/2009 10:47

Morning ladies.

Chegirl, a candle will be lit for Billie today. My thought are with you all xxx

frasersmummy · 27/04/2009 11:09

morning everyone

just sneaking on from work to say you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers chegirl

I will light a candle for Billie when I get home

Olissa · 27/04/2009 11:49

Hello everyone, a candle is lit for Billie in rainy Yorkshire, love to you and yours Chegirl xx

Hope you're all OK, glad you had a good party Lottie.

I would love to say I didn't believe it about the librarian and Che, or the stonemason and Dee, but unfortunately it looks very much like some b*gger has stolen the plants from Caitlin's grave, so today I can believe anything. I'm waiting for the cemetery warden to call me but I can't see that they'd have moved them. And left the pots and a hole.

As if any of us need things making harder. Still, we are a resilient bunch.

Deemented · 27/04/2009 12:01

Oh Olissa - i am so so sorry. I was up at Ciarans grave the other day and i thought someone had taken a plaque that my brother made for him.. i was devestated, so i can only imagine how you must be feeling right about now. Huge huge hugs to you xxx

shabster · 27/04/2009 12:13

Olissa - lets hope their feckin fingers drop off - Im getting a right 'potty gob' aren't I???

shabster · 27/04/2009 12:19

People walk their dogs through the cemetry where my sons are - and allow them to do what dogs do naturally and dont clean up after themselves - and all the local kids play football in there - even though there are massive fields behind it!! People dont seem to care anymore

travellingwilbury · 27/04/2009 12:33

Olissa , I am so sorry . I used to get wound up enough if people had actually left flowers and not a note or told me they were doing it . It always felt intrusive to me so I have no idea how grumpy I would be if someone had done that xx

OH Olissa.. one word for them b**tards (sorry but they are)

I went through this ...I couldnt believe someone could vandalise a baby's grave.. but they did.

After the anger and the copious tears I set about buying all nice new things for Fraser's garden ...

I took pleasure in sorting it out for him ..kept saying mummy will sort it Fraser, mummy will sort it

I am sending you big hugs

chegirl · 27/04/2009 22:15

Hello everyone. I am so touched by your words of support and love for my Billie. You are so thoughful and it means so very much to me.

Olissa - I am so sorry. You must be distraught. I have heard this happening so many times and I can never get my head round it. The only thing i can say is these people dont think so dont take it personally (I hope you know what I am trying to say).

I would like to share this poem on my darling girl's day.

Footprints In the Snow:

We fall to the earth like leaves
Lives as brief as footprints in snow
No words express the grief we feel
I feel I cannot let her go.
For she is everywhere.
Walking on the windswept beach
Talking in the sunlit square.
Next to me in the car
I see her sitting there.
At night she dreams me
and in the morning the sun does not rise.
My life is as thin as the wind
And I am done with counting stars.
She is gone, she is gone.
I am her sad music, and I play on, and on, and on.
(Roger McGough)

Morning all, had an awful panic here this morning as there was an ambulance and rapid response car outside my lovely neighbours.....Edith is almost part of my family...........Wilf has been taught to go to her house if i have an accident because he cant dial 999!!! I had to wait till her daughter came out to find out how she was,,,,,,,,,,she has had a bad back for ages and it was that that was the problem, she had gone into spasm and couldnt breath. We (Edith her daughter and I ) have now agreed that she will ring me if she needs anything now as I feel I owe her favours for all the times she has had Wilf when i have had to go to the chip shop etc. Ive just been round with a card and some plants for her! Am now cooking cauliflower cheese with bacon and lemon sponge for tea!

travellingwilbury · 28/04/2009 19:42

That must have been really scary Lottie . Glad she is ok (ish)

Not sure about bacon and lemon sponge though

I have been painting my front room today and I am fed up with it .
Why do I start these things ?

Then im so looking forward to this afternoon as i am picking my friends children up from school and having them for a little while when she goes to the doctors! I so adore Georgie and Lewis! I had to go down into the ditch at work yesterday (in my new playground job) and get a ball.... one of my little treasures stood there and announced very loudly "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeew Charlotte you will be covered in rats pee now!!!" I just replied very calmly "thanks for sharing that with me" and rushed off to wash my hands!!
