Many thanks to ILike for passing on the baton to myself and Harry . I know we are a bit previous but I am worried I will get the timing wrong .

I feel like I have only been here a wee while but it is invaluable to me .

This is a poem that has helped me in the past .

I have not turned my back on you
So there is no need to cry.
I'm watching you from heaven
Just beyond the morning sky.

I've seen you almost fall apart
When you could barely stand.
I asked an angel to comfort you
And watched her take your hand.

She told me you are in more pain
Than I could ever be.
She wiped her eyes and swallowed hard
Then gave your hand to me.

Although you may not feel my touch
Or see me by your side.
I've whispered that I love you
While I wiped each tear you cried.

So please try not to ache for me
We'll meet again one day.
Beyond the dark and stormy sky
A rainbow lights the way.

Morning girls xx

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/02/2009 09:50

Morning ladies. What a beautiful title and poem TW. I think I could truly feel Cole when I read the poem, so I'm now having a little weep, but it's a good weep.

shabster · 28/02/2009 10:07

Move it - lovely last message on Cole's thread

lottiejenkins · 28/02/2009 12:16

Shabs, Ruth has just eamiled me, she is going to use the poem just before the 8 o clock news!

shabster · 28/02/2009 12:23

How brilliant! Why dont you put it on here again Lottie - its so beautiful

lottiejenkins · 28/02/2009 12:26

This was a life that hardly begun
no time to find your place in the sun
no time to do all you could have done
but we loved you enough for a lifetime

No time to enjoy the world and its wealth
No time to take life down off the shelf
no time to sing the song of yourself
though you had enough love for a lifetime

Those who live long endure sadness and tears
but you'll never suffer the sorrowing years
no betrayel, no anger
no hatred, no fears
Just love, only love in your lifetime..

Here we are..........

Deemented · 28/02/2009 14:11

Oh that is indeed a beautiful poem. So true.

So, i need your opinions ladies. I'm going to put this in either AIBU or chat too, but wanted to know what you think.

This morning i recieved a letter from Banardo's stating that because we live in the 'wrong' area, they won't consider seeing boyo. This has prompted me to ponder that perhaps i should complain... not nessicarily to them but i had thought of contacting the childrens commissioner of wales, who works on behalf of the rights of children... surely boyo has the right to be able to access the help he so desperately needs, reguardless of the area we live in? Or do i just let it go, now that i've found someone who'll see him privately? I know boyo needs me to be focused on him... i'm unsure if i should take this fight on... any thoughts?

shabster · 28/02/2009 14:53

Thelighthousekeeper · 28/02/2009 19:20

Lottie - that poem is lovely.

Dee- its awful what you are having to go through. Glad your DS is going to get help up it so wrong that you have to fund it yourself. Its awful this postcode lottery. You should fight!!

Have had a busy day preparing for DD's party tomorrow. I think we have everything now. Just want to collapse in a corner but have to now go and prepare a pass the parcel with 25 layers!! Wish me luck! x

Hello all

I Like I am pleased you felt Cole even if only for a wee bit but sorry it made you weep. It always brings a tear or two to my eye but not always a bad thing for me .

Dee I think if you have the strength to focus on the fighting I am sure it could only be a good thing but maybe for now you just need to be nice to yourself and see how things go with boyo and his new therapist . I know it is shite that you aren't getting the support you both deserve but if I am honest I don't know if I could have done with the fighting in the early days . Not saying you shouldn't just saying think about how much energy you have .

Everlong I am really pleased to see you back . No such thing as a party pooper here just people that are living the same shitty road and more than happy to listen .

Lottie I love that poem it is a new one on me .I will be listening tomorrow.

Hello to everyone xxx

Well I sat there in tears in bed listening to Ruth, i feel she said exactly what we had explained to her beautifully and she mentioned this thread as well as Shabs and I as well.

shabster · 01/03/2009 08:27

Good morning girls.

Lottie I managed to miss the whole thing! I am going to try and listen via internet. I set my alarm, the alarm went off, and I fell back asleep!

shabster · 01/03/2009 08:33

Im listening to the show 'live' at the moment and on the Aled Jones part it says 'listen again' I think that once his show is over I can click onto that? What do you reckon Lottie?

shabster · 01/03/2009 08:36

Oh I am a computer numpty - I just heard him give a time check and he said 7.35am - so I am listening to the right thing

lottiejenkins · 01/03/2009 09:08

If you wait an hour or so it should be on lsiten again....he read my email out a little while after as well.

shabster · 01/03/2009 09:17

I just figured out that I would have to wait a little while before I could listen to the show again [doh emoticon] the one I was listening to was one day last week - I have had a real blonde moment today!!! Will give it a little while then try to listen. Thanks so much Lottie for getting in touch with me in the first place for the programme. xxxx

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 01/03/2009 10:41
