my dh went fishing last night and at 11:30pm I had a knock on the door from the police .... My dh has been found dead on a footpath at the lake They think it was a massive heart attack, a stroke or a blood clot but will do a PM tomorrow, I don't know what to do, I have my family here with me but it is easier to talk on here How do I tell my dc's? WHAT do I tell my dc's - they are only 2.9 and 10 months Will they understand, what are they going to do without their daddy? How will I get through the days without my dh? I know we argued etc but I really, really, loved him and now he is gone Help please

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't pretend to know what you are feeling, but you are not alone. Many people are here to support you as best we can.

margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo · 29/08/2007 20:25

so, so sorry xx

ntsmum · 29/08/2007 20:38

I read this in the morning but didn't post as I thought, well, you don't know me etc etc. BUT I've been thinking about you all day and feel so sorry for your oss. My FIL died very suddenly and quite young (he was out running) so I can slightly appreciate the dreadful shock and the fact that your brain can't take the news in at first.
My thoughts are with you and your lovely dcs.

AuntJetPetunia · 29/08/2007 21:53

So sorry to read this, you poor thing. I have read your previous threads (but not posted) so I know you are a wonderful mother and homemaker. Your children are so lucky to have you to help them through this. You must keep posting here for support. Good luck to you all.

I am so sorry

When you are ready there are some groups that might be able to help and support you, including dealing with the children. Such as WAY (widowed and young) for example.

Thanks everyone for your kind messages - they maen a lot to me. I still haven't been able to tell ds He just thought that everybody was here to see hin today .... and his trampoline arrived that dh and I had ordered last week.
I have been to see dh at the mortuary this morning and I am glad ... although they hadn't been able to clean him up or do anything with him until the coroner can do the pm tomorrow morning ... it was good to see him, made it more believable IYSWIM The pm should be done tomorrow morning and I can see him again then if I want, when he is a bit more prsentable. I also went to the lake where it happened and talked to one of the first people there, which helped a bit. It doesn't sound like he suffered at all .... just collapsed and died in an instant. Life is not fair, he was only 36 They think it was most probably a massive heart attack, but we will know more tomorrow
