My toddler died today

My baby died today. I found him in his cot this morning. He was completely well yesterday and has no health problems. They are completing a post mortem today.
I don’t know what to do. Why would a healthy child just die? I have a 4 year old and don’t know how to handle it with him. Any advice welcome, I’m obviously a mixture of completely numb and a mess.

Their are no words to offer you any peace but I just want to say you are incredibly brave and I’m so so very sorry.

I'm so sorry for the loss of you baby. I can't quite imagine the confusion, shock, pain you must all be feeling.
Just hold your 4 year old close, don't be Afraid to speak to someone.

That is horrific. I am so sorry. What an unimaginable loss.

Does your local Childrens Hospice provide a service for families who have lost a child? Our local hospice provides support for any family who loses a child in their area,(not just families who had already been using their services) but not sure how widespread this sort of service is. Can one of your friends have a look at the local children's hospice website and see?

OP this is the worst thing that can ever happen to a parent. I don't have any words, but am sending you a massive hug and as much strength as you need to survive this.

Try to just let the waves take you and go with the emotions. Try not to bottle it up. Scream, shout, zone out, do what you need to survive.

I am so sorry OP. I hope you have friends and family around you to help hold you up during this time your heart is breaking. I second an earlier poster's thoughts about a local children's hospice and whether they could help. Lots of love, I will be thinking of you xx

I'm sorry for your loss. The best piece of advice I had when DD died was to allow myself to feel whatever emotions I felt and don't hide them.
