I am stunned and unbelievably humbled to see that one little post I wrote sparked 1000 messages, and Im so appreciative of all you personal stories and jokes to cheer me up.

MN is offically amazing and you're all fantastic.

DM had a rough night, she apparently woke in the night with a bad headache which I think confirmed the disease has moved into her head (we expected this, apparently what's causing the paralysis often appears in the brain too). Still no appetite and sleeping all the time.

Hope everyone had a good night. I had yet more nightmares - theyre all about Mum and they all horrible. Shouty I is in fine voice this morning. Dad said he heard Shouty I bellowing to Shouty II to shut up the other day. Pot, meet kettle

Lovely post justaboy. Mine was treatable too. It is amazing what they can do these days. I ended up with a lumpectomy after my chemo as the tumours had gone from quite large to quite small. They cut through round the nipple so unless you looked v hard you would not know!

Lemon, I am absolutely shitting it about Christmas. STB exH hates my family so is going over to his flat on Xmas eve so me and 13yr old DS will be here. I've got MS and can't move unless in a wheelchair. Am waiting to move to a bungalow when one comes available so everything is upside down here. My front room is now my bedroom with a hospital bed, hoist, v large special chair to sit in and electric wheelchair , so looks more like a hospital room. In my mind I keep harking back to when I could walk 14 months ago, I really shouldn't.

I actually hate everything at the moment, nowhere in my house looks Christmassy, no space to put a tree. Be glad when it's next week tbh.

Anyway, I know sister is cooking Xmas dinner for Mum and Dad so was hoping they might come over on Xmas day in the afternoon with a couple of platefuls of roast dinner. However that is not a given as she is working til Xmas Eve and has said how busy she is. It's my son I feel sorry for. Reckon we could end up with pizza that he will have to cook. STB exh will go fucking bonkers if that happens.

God it is all so stressful. Will see carers as they come in 4 times a day but reckon it will only be flying visits as they are only doing short hours, and who can blame them.

Well, enough about me. I'm trying to ignore it all. I could go on for bloody hours. How are you doing? You should have your results in a day or two shouldn't you? What are you doing on The Day?

Lemon - it's all so hard and so very early in the scheme of things. Your mum's funeral sounded absolutely perfect. I'm sorry that work is now being a pile of dog poo about everything. My mum died of breast cancer and it does make you very, very conscious of all lumps of bumps. I come from a long line of women with lumpy boobs (had my first needle biopsy at 20). You've done the right thing by getting checked out straight away. Have you heard anything back from the hospital yet? Thinking of you.

Sorry I'm so slow to update - I got home and laid down for a moment with DP and we both fell straight to sleep!! Must have been more worried than we realised

ONE more day of work them I'm off for TEN WHOLE DAYS!!!

Me and DP are spending Xmas with my Dad and fam, then seeing his fam and we're taking the paddleboards with us so will get a surf in whenever we find the opportunity

Yip Yip Yippee Lemon, I am so so glad it was nothing. I was hoping that, as was everyone else but when we hadn't heard..... anyway and for you. I am so relieved, phew.

So glad you've got 10 days off and are spending The Day with your DP, lovely Dad and family. I hope the day is a different kind of special for you.

Glad you are then off with paddle boards, rather you than me!! I'll be the one sitting on the wall, bundled up in seventy two layers nursing a hot chocolate and a pasty .

As it happen DP bought me an AMAZING wetsuit as an early Xmas gift (he's x professional so he knows all about wetsuits) and it's SOOO warm and comes with little booties :)

Hope I don't fall in when we're on the river though - may get dysentery in time for Xmas day!!

I really, really hope your fam are able to come over and see you with some tasty snacks on Xmas day.

Had an email from mum, they can't make Christmas Day, it "won't work.", I bloody knew it. STB exH is going to his flat on Xmas Eve until Boxing day so they could come over (long story, he can't stand them!!)

I've got MS and can no longer walk so will get teatime carer to heat up turkey dinner for DS. Not the same as real Christmas dinner but he won't care.

I'm sort of hoping they and Dsis (she's cooking for them) might change their minds and pop over but am not holding my breath!

Anyway, if you have time pop in a couple of times and let us all know how you are doing. Have a good long break, you deserve it.
