tbh i dont know what to say - i never expected to post a thread in this section of mn :(

I didnt expect to be a widow at 37 :(

he was severely depressed, and although had some very good days, he also had very bad days and for whatever reason he felt he couldnt carry on and took his own life on Saturday 16th april :(

i know its early days, but i cry every day, silly things set me off, like yesterday changing the duvet cover - it was hubbys's job to do that and i had to do it for the first time

its got to get easier hasnt it? :(

Go Dad!

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/06/2011 12:17

i am fucking fuming Angry

I AM NAMING AND SHAMING VIRGIN!!!!

just spoke to virgin asking where my claim was - he said had been sent off yesterday, i asked for how much and its less then half Shock

seems there is a tiny clause in the holiday insurance Hmm that doesnt pay out ofr suicide

so automatically lose 50% anyway of cost

and the thieving bastards have deducted £200 excess when was told on the phone it would be to £100

so i get just over £300 for what was almost £1k holiday Angry

daddy blondes will be on the case!!!

blondes im so very Angry on your behalf, there must be something they can do????

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/06/2011 12:45

the man on the phone said i had agreed to the terms and conditions when took the policy

so no i didnt read the small print, when taking out holiday insurance, and again when i took it out for a holiday i thought i would be going on in 2 days time, i didnt think that my dh would have killed his self

i took holiday insurance if you are ill when away/lost luggage etc

I'm sure there is a lot they could do but they have no desire to. Corporate wankers. Time for your dad to put his heroics into action again. Just sorry and angry that he is having to. Xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/06/2011 12:46

KnottyLocks · 03/06/2011 17:18

I've always wanted to slap Richard Branson's smug shit-eating grinning face with a wet haddock. Let me at im.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/06/2011 18:59

piste fab pic thanks

fab if you want to compose a letter for me via the last sentence in the bereavement letter, then feel free, thx :)

techinally they are within their rights, but sure between thomas cook and virgin they would have resold the holiday so havnt lost any money - so how the hell they can try and swindle £700 from me is amazing Hmm

Dear Pension Service Person,

I acknowledge receipt of your letter which informs me that monies owed to me has been paid. I can confirm that this is true.

The main reason for this letter is relating to your sentence at the end of your letter namely "if your circumstances have changed then please get in touch with us." My late husband's pension (whatever it is exactly that you have received) has been paid to me because he has died. How exactly can that change? I strongly advise you to carefully think whether this is a sympathetic and ???? sentence to write at the end of a letter relating to a payment on a death.

I await your thoughts.

Blondes.

That was off the top of my head but it may give you a start.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/06/2011 19:48

i like that fab the £2k is payable from the government as im married and he/i had been working and paying ni

TheOriginalFAB · 03/06/2011 19:52

Okay, change my bit as I wasn't sure which payment it was that you had received.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/06/2011 20:51

Knotty McKnot - the vision I have of you slapping Richard Branson's smug shit-eating grinning face with a wet haddock is too joyous.
