fits well with the other names

belgo · 20/05/2008 15:47

I don't like it and anything other then Kennedy will be confusing to spell.

If anything, I'd say it was a boy's name.

AitchTwoCiao · 20/05/2008 15:47

if you're scottish, might it be better not to have a name with 'ned' in it? but kennedy if necessary, i'm not keen on the i.

choosyfloosy · 20/05/2008 15:47

I like Kennedy. It wouldn't occur to me that it could be spelt any other way so that's the one I would choose.

Ecmo · 20/05/2008 15:48

makes me think of president Kennedy tbh. I'd go with the 'y' ending though you and she will always be spelling it out otherwise

ButterflyBessie · 20/05/2008 15:49

Goes perfectly with the other names but would spell it Kennedy

jingleyjen · 20/05/2008 15:50

ds1 has a little girl called kennedy in his class. wouldn't choose it myself but if you want opinions use a Y not I on the end.

Tommy · 20/05/2008 15:50

sounds like a boy's name to me too

belgo · 20/05/2008 15:50

Is there a Bratz doll called Kennedy?

MascaraOHara · 20/05/2008 15:51

don't like it sorry. and deffo not with an 'i'

All I think of is the space centre.

MargaretMountford · 20/05/2008 15:52

Kennedy means ugly head, did you know ? I looked it up in surname book once as I went out with someone with that surname...
don't spell it with an 'i' though.

belgo · 20/05/2008 15:52

Ah it's not Bratz, it's MyScene Barbie.

expatinscotland · 20/05/2008 15:53

I think they are naff, naffi and nafie.

belgo · 20/05/2008 15:53

here she is

expatinscotland · 20/05/2008 15:55

I think of a family full of drunks and druggies.

PuppyMonkey · 20/05/2008 15:58

So the shortened version might be Ken.

And that makes me think of Ken Barlow from Corrie.

So it's a no from me...

sitdownpleasegeorge · 20/05/2008 15:58

Don't like it.

It's a surname really isn't it ?

MrsBadger · 20/05/2008 16:06

you lost me at Jaydan, I'm afraid

expatinscotland · 20/05/2008 16:07

it appears Ted Kennedy's lifetime of boozing has finally caught up with him, sadly.

cornsilk · 20/05/2008 16:08

I don't like it - sorry.

NurkMagiggy · 20/05/2008 16:09

It sounds Ok if it was African.
Otherwise not really... It sounds a bit 'trying to be different'.

But I don't really go with the other names you've listed either so it's just a question of what you like

LaDiDaDi · 20/05/2008 16:09

I don't like it. It's not at all feminine.

Buda · 20/05/2008 16:11

Not too keen either I'm afraid.

how about Kelsey?

WanderingTrolley · 20/05/2008 16:11

I don't like it. If you must, at least spell it Kennedy, so she doesn't have a lifetime of having to spell it out over the phone etc.

OldieMum · 20/05/2008 16:12

The only Kennedy I have ever met was small boy in Kenya. He was named after John F. Kennedy. Sounds a bit odd for a girl, tbh.
