Let's hope he meets a better end than Michael, WT .

NurkMagiggy · 20/05/2008 16:14

It's Ok with a Y. It's just the I that gets me.
Kennedy with a Y for a little girl is quite nice.

frisbyrat · 20/05/2008 16:15

I think Kennedi goes splendidly with the names you have given your other dc!

WanderingTrolley · 20/05/2008 16:16

Meeting a bad end is de rigeur when you're a Kennedy.
OP take note.

Thanks for comments - I think

Kennedy is a traditional irish surname meaning helmeted chief and has been used around the world as both a boy's and a girl's first name. It is the middle name of my late father in law. My dd has a surname as her name - Taylor as does my youngest ds - Mackenzie xx

Still not sure though so will keep thinking xx Also like the spelling Kennedee - sorry just to annoy all you purists!!

Too surnamey. Sorry.

largeginandtonic · 20/05/2008 16:41

No!

Nancy66 · 20/05/2008 16:42

Nope, don't like it at all.
but, as others have said it does fit with your other choices.

Tutter · 20/05/2008 16:42

awful

VanillaPumpkin · 20/05/2008 16:45

I am not a total purist - liked Cassidy and Darcy if I'd had a girl - but I think if you are going to use Kennedy you would be better sticking to the traditional spelling.

beaniesteve · 20/05/2008 16:47

I like it but only spelt Kennedy.

saltire · 20/05/2008 16:48

It's also a Scots surname, in fact many of the Irish Kennedys originated from Scotland. They were allies of Robert the Bruce.

Useless factoid of the day for you all

expatinscotland · 20/05/2008 16:49

Yes, surname being the keyword .

LRB978 · 20/05/2008 16:49

To go against everyone else, I do like the name, have seen it spelt Kenadie before which I really like (am considering it for a girl if I ever have another)

Leanne

expatinscotland · 20/05/2008 16:51

how about crazzee laydee?

Pinkchampagne · 20/05/2008 16:51

Don't like it either, I'm afraid. I have only come across one child called kennedy, and he was a boy.

wheresthehamster · 20/05/2008 16:51

If you have to, then go with Kennedy.

Kennedi will be pronounced Ken-need-y, Kenedi will be Ken-eddy and Kennedee will be Kenny-dee. All of them

jenwa · 20/05/2008 16:52

Goes well with your other childrens names ant spelt with a 'y' at the end.

pootleflump · 20/05/2008 16:52

truly awful I'm afraid

belcantavinissima · 20/05/2008 16:52

it goes with the other names you have but otoh i cant stand any of them i'm afraid so you might not want to listen to me

bluefox · 20/05/2008 16:52

Why do people insist on spelling names in ridiculous ways?

JulesJules · 20/05/2008 16:54

Just awful. If you really must, at least spell it right and make it a middle name.
