Just out of interest really - is there a specific boy or girl name you just can’t stand?

Riley
Anything hyphen May or Mae

ThatshallotBaby · 02/01/2023 00:11

Megan. Don’t know why. It’s a perfectly nice name. Bethany the same.

Unicorn717 · 02/01/2023 00:12

Double barred names piss me off. Not sure why.

Wombat100 · 02/01/2023 00:12

May/mae I definitely used to like but seem to be a bit chavvy now 😵‍💫

Love a hyphen though Grin
Molly-May is so sweet

MrsTerryPratchett · 02/01/2023 00:13

Agree with double or hyphenated. Double points for -May or -Rae.

I cannot STAND Bodhi unless you are Buddhist.

Another vote for Bethany.

ThatshallotBaby · 02/01/2023 00:15

I just really like them Grin, can’t help it

ThatshallotBaby · 02/01/2023 00:15

Love Rae

Clarabe1 · 02/01/2023 00:16

If it ends with Mae I will hate it.

Turns out I can't spell! Double-barrelled.

KatieMorag5 · 02/01/2023 00:16

Tyler, Riley or anything like Madison 🙈

Bosk · 02/01/2023 00:16

Oh god, all modern baby names make my toes curl. All the Mias and Tias and Kadens and Jadens.

But I'm an old fart and think that all boys should be named after apostles and all girls called Clare.

OneStepOneStumble · 02/01/2023 00:17

Jayden/cayden/brayden

Just can't stand them

GoldenCagedBird · 02/01/2023 00:18

Ophelia

I hate deeming things ‘pretentious’ but it is. It makes me cringe every time it is discussed on here

a horrible namesake for a DD and a telltale sign that they haven’t read hamlet

NewYearNora · 02/01/2023 00:18

Kayden Kai, Cruz for boys

Wombat100 · 02/01/2023 00:19

I think I mainly can’t stand names which are either made up or would suit a Labrador rather than a human.

giggly · 02/01/2023 00:20

Luana1 · 02/01/2023 00:20

2chocolateoranges · 02/01/2023 00:21

Lol. I’m now wondering if someone will now name their baby Apostles. Maybe “Apostles-Mae”. Has a ring to it I reckon…

Avril

it sounds like a medicine and is too close to anvil, it’s so sharp and spiky somehow

Noimaginationforaun · 02/01/2023 00:22

Junior - either by itself or coupled with another name.
