Any Beth name makes me think of a blocked nose. Add Eliza on the front and if freshens it a bit, but Beth, Bethan, Bethany, and especially Elspeth.

Every Elaine that I met was a bully of the 1st order. It's almost unbelievable how at every job I had, there's an Elaine that everyone avoids because she's a cow with control issues. And she'll be the only reason why I don't enjoy being at work. Sorry for the nice ones on here but I hate this name now. Karens have got the twatty reputation so unfairly, every Karen I've met was sweet and kind.

It’s fallen out of fashion now, praise the lord, but I absolutely cannot stand Kelly. I cannot think how anyone thinks it sounds nice. Makes me think instantly of smelly and belly (also words I hate!) There was a kid’s book in DD’s nursery called Kelly’s Smelly Wellies and tbh that just illustrates everything to me about why it’s so awful.

Amelia, Olivia, Sophia and Chloe all bore and annoy me, so overused.

There are quite a few names like this, very popular in our ‘hood, which can definitely go either way if you want to make a game out of it. Adult in the park calls out a name in a flowery tone of voice; and sometimes a child in a duffel coat comes running up, and sometimes a Labrador.

Bailey. Poppy. Maisie. Tilly. Alfie. Riley. Dexter. All perfectly inoffensive, though.

I've always hated the name Jake and I do not know why. It makes my toes curl
