what do people think of the name, Season

I really like this name. It means fertile and I like that it has a growth name meaning. Jackson means son of Jack and so Season sounds like son of the sea which I love. I also like the feeling of the seasons of your life with bringing a human being into the world. Season also sounds a bit like Caesar and I like the fact that the second S sounds a bit like a Z. For a girl I think season has a cool nature vibe too and Alison, Addison don't sound masculine so Season certainly wouldn't and it sounds a bit alternative. I've never heard of this being a name though and I wonder if anyone else has. It does come up on a baby meaning list but I hadn't heard it

Season sounds like Caesar? Hmm it's up to you, personally it makes me think of dogs being 'in season'.

IAmcuriousyellow · 23/06/2019 16:01

I think it’s a bit silly, and a bit try-hard. Sorry.

Slightaggrandising · 23/06/2019 16:02

Yeah, no. It's not a name.

Sarcelle · 23/06/2019 16:02

It sounds silly. Like silly season. A bit try hard to be different.

Sportsnight · 23/06/2019 16:03

As in add salt and pepper?

stucknoue · 23/06/2019 16:03

It's a time of year not a persons name!

Cuppa12345 · 23/06/2019 16:03

It's not a name.

Saharafordessert · 23/06/2019 16:07

Honestly, it’s awful

CallMeRachel · 23/06/2019 16:08

My dog is due here any day now...Confused

CallMeRachel · 23/06/2019 16:08

Hers

IWouldBeSuperb · 23/06/2019 16:09

Like PPs, I just thought salt and pepper, and dog periods Confused - sorry!

Probably even worse for a boy than a girl - I don't think your 'son of the sea' idea will make up for the wtf faces.

DPotter · 23/06/2019 16:09

For the love of all you hold dear - please don't foist this word on your unborn child. It's not a name, it's a word.

I have words I like - doesn't mean I would name a child with one of them.

girlandboy · 23/06/2019 16:10

"Season well and marinate for 4 hours."

Nope, it's salt and pepper.

mimibunz · 23/06/2019 16:10

We had joy
We had fun
We had seasons
In the sun...

livefornaps · 23/06/2019 16:11

No

girlandboy · 23/06/2019 16:13

Oh god, can you imagine the teenager years?!

"Hey Season, are you...you know...in season?" Wink wink.

No no no

MrsSiriusBlack1 · 23/06/2019 16:13

Try hard hipster I’m afraid Grin

LazyLizzy · 23/06/2019 16:16

Sound like you can't say Susan.

Theworldcouldbemymollusc · 23/06/2019 16:17

Nope. Who wants to be in season?

SoupDragon · 23/06/2019 16:19

Season well and marinate

Triplets perhaps?

HollowTalk · 23/06/2019 16:19

I'm not sure why you haven't heard of the name, 'Season.' Hmm

MightyAtlantic · 23/06/2019 16:19

There's a reason you've never heard of it being a name - it isn't.

MargotsFlounceyBlouse · 23/06/2019 16:20

"Season the baby" sounds like cannibalism! It's just not naturey enough to escape all the other connotations Shock

BackforGood · 23/06/2019 16:20

No, I prefer names that are actual, names.

Gumbo · 23/06/2019 16:20

Your child will spend his/her life going:
'My name is Season'
'Susan?'
'No...Season.'
'Um...sorry, can you spell that?'
Etc

Don't inflict this on your offspring!
