what do people think of the name, Season

I really like this name. It means fertile and I like that it has a growth name meaning. Jackson means son of Jack and so Season sounds like son of the sea which I love. I also like the feeling of the seasons of your life with bringing a human being into the world. Season also sounds a bit like Caesar and I like the fact that the second S sounds a bit like a Z. For a girl I think season has a cool nature vibe too and Alison, Addison don't sound masculine so Season certainly wouldn't and it sounds a bit alternative. I've never heard of this being a name though and I wonder if anyone else has. It does come up on a baby meaning list but I hadn't heard it

Is this for real? You think your child will grow up and be pleased you gave it a name that isn't a name at all? It's just a word, salt and pepper, female animals on heat, the time of year, and the poor kid will have a lifetime of embarrassment because you have a dippy-hippy idea that you think sounds cool. Sheer selfish indulgence and actually unkind. Call a pet 'Season', but give a child a proper name, that everyone can spell and that it doesn't have to explain as a bonkers idea its mother had!

The way I pronounce it doesn't have the 'son'ending that Jackson does.

@dolphin50 I can’t understand why you’d go with your heart over thinking about your child’s identity & life? What job do you do? Because you’re making it really hard for a child to be taken seriously & enter any profession. Not to mention all the teasing they’ll be subjected to.

Season has not been used on more than a couple of boys or girls for at least 20 years (& probably none). Perhaps that’s why no one thinks it’s a name - because it’s not a name?

Of all the words you randomly turn in to names to try & look cool - please don’t use dog periods. What about slightly less awful words like Salt, Plate, Curtain, Floor, Cupboard or Blender?
