Me and my hubby are trying for our rainbow baby and I love the name sailor.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
GinIsIn · 03/11/2018 17:31

God no. Just no. To curse like a sailor, the drunken sailor and the horse that dies in Riders. Nope.

Shazafied · 03/11/2018 17:33

It’s not a name !!!!!!

Just no.

RoboJesus · 03/11/2018 17:34

Please don't

Boredboredboredboredbored · 03/11/2018 17:34

Say what??!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 03/11/2018 17:35

No. Awful. Really awful.

elephantoverthehill · 03/11/2018 17:35

Hello Sailor Wink

HoraceWimple · 03/11/2018 17:36

No. As a pp said, it’s not a name.

TSSDNCOP · 03/11/2018 17:36

Can I be the first to say your DM and DMIL will positively, definitely hate it. Which is unsurprising really.

VenusInSpurs · 03/11/2018 17:37

No!
Sorry.

PersonaNonGarter · 03/11/2018 17:37

Oooooh Helllooo Say-lah

PiperPublickOccurrences · 03/11/2018 17:37

All the nice girls love a Sailor....

What about Pirate? Buccaneer? Tar? Mariner?

Giantbanger · 03/11/2018 17:37

What shall we do with the drunken

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 03/11/2018 17:38

No because it isn't a name.

DPotter · 03/11/2018 17:38

The world is full of beautiful names - this is not one of them . Please for the love of all you hold dear, do not call your child 'Sailor'.

IHeartKingThistle · 03/11/2018 17:38

Liv Tyler has a Sailor I think. I don't hate it.

Faster · 03/11/2018 17:38

No.

Polkasq · 03/11/2018 17:39

Personally I don't like occupation names. However, Sailor is no worse than Archer, Mason, Carter, Hunter etc. and at least makes a change.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 03/11/2018 17:40

What about Tinker? Spy? Banker? Footballer?

BackforGood · 03/11/2018 17:40

It's a job, not a person's name.

CliffordDanger · 03/11/2018 17:41

I like it.

Whitley83 · 03/11/2018 17:41

Well that went down well. I suppose I'm being judged by the 'Amelia, Mia and fleur' brigade

Twelve8Ts · 03/11/2018 17:41

How can people say it’s not a name when there are already kids called this? I assume they mean they don’t personally know anyone by that name? If people can use Hunter then why not Sailor?

Darkbaptism · 03/11/2018 17:41

I know a little girl called Sailor and her sister is called Rio.

Whitley83 · 03/11/2018 17:42

My dad, grandfather and many before them worked on the seas, it's a tribute to them, it's meaningful and playful

OP posts:
PortiaCastis · 03/11/2018 17:42

Jeez don't saddle the child with that, can you imagine the taunts of kids at school.
Heeeeelllllooooo sailor !
