i agree
you carried him and gave birth to him
YOU get to chose
your choices are lovely and his are horrible

buy him a teddy and say he can name that anything he likes while you name the child that will grow into a person who actually has to go into rooms and introduce himself to people

YourLeftElbow · 28/03/2016 17:40

I quite like Willoughby, though he was a bit of an arse in Sense & Sensibility. And Willoughby would be Will all the time

LynetteScavo · 28/03/2016 17:43

Congratulations!

He looks like a Max to me....

Sullivan nn Sully?

He is beautiful, I think you should get the final say - your names are much nicer than his plus he didn't have to carry and push him out!!

elor11 · 28/03/2016 18:09

Does he like xander/zander as nn of your alexander.
I like Brodie.

Audreyhelp · 28/03/2016 18:12

Love teddy

Audreyhelp · 28/03/2016 18:13

Let your husband have the surname.

EssentialHummus · 28/03/2016 18:16

I rather like Brodie.

Is your DP American? His list is very strongly American to me. Anyway, congratulations - he looks adorable.

IncognitoBurrito · 28/03/2016 18:23

Another vote for Pascal! Perfect for an Easter baby and quite unusual.

Your list is way better though.

228agreenend · 28/03/2016 18:26

Gorgeous picture.

Douglas
Montgomery
Robert /Robbie/rob
Callum
Anthony

I like Griffin.

daisydalrymple · 28/03/2016 18:26

MIL chose your dp's name, this is your decision to make (with dp if you can Grin), not hers.

Which name do you think ds looks Like? Personally I would be choosing my three favourites that suit DS and presenting them to dp to choose from.

But also shamelessly place marking so I can look at your gorgeous son again, that hair!!! Easter Grin dd was born Easter Sunday too, 7 years ago now, she gets her next official birthday when shes 12. We always mark the Easter date too!. Congratulations on your cutie!

daisydalrymple · 28/03/2016 18:26

Ps Matthew Daniel

daisydalrymple · 28/03/2016 18:27

Or maybe Samson with that hair Grin and biblical for the occasion too.

SoupDragon · 28/03/2016 18:33

His list is awful!

Griffin isn't bad I guess. Willoughby is truly dreadful.

I do know a Brodie so that seems kind of normal to me!

You do also have to love the name. He doesn't get to force his names onto you.

HeadTilt · 28/03/2016 18:40

Brodie, griffin and Jackson better than the rest of his nightmare list. Is this a tactic of his, suggest horrendous names so that you'll agree to a compromise name, which is the one he really wants anyway? Not a fan of Willoughby. You need a name you don't feel awkward announcing!

How about Carter, Wesley, Miller, Kennedy, Blake or Cooper? I have a secret soft spot for Wesley. Wouldn't pick the others but they might be more acceptable to both of you in the spirit of compromise.

I think Nameberry has a function where you can put in a selection of names and they suggest more on the same theme - you could put in some of yours and the least awful of his and see what it comes up with?

dementedma · 28/03/2016 18:43

Gorgeous baby!
Laurence
Guy
Freddie
Ralph
Nate
Toby
Leo
Bernard

capsicumcat21 · 28/03/2016 18:47

My first thought for a boy's Easter name was Egbert Easter Grin (Joke honest!!!)

Rowan is by far my favourite.

He is so cute! Congratulations! Flowers

Lanark2 · 28/03/2016 18:49

Egbert. Easter Egbert.

Its not heard at all now, so would be very exclusive.

SanityClause · 28/03/2016 18:53

Jackson isn't too bad, although somehow Jaxon is a bit awful. Would he agree to change the spelling?

Undercooked · 28/03/2016 18:55

Pascal really is lovely.

Sorry about my comments re Brodie. I'm not Scottish so didn't realise it was a traditional name up there. Down here in the Sarf I only know one and he was named after the Homeland character.

craftyoldhen · 28/03/2016 19:03

My list for DS1 was like your list. DH wanted to call him Spike!

I do like Brodie though. I think your DS looks like a Brodie too.

GreenLounger · 28/03/2016 19:03

Is this a good deal, or not? I feel like it really isn't, considering I am the mummy, who gave birth, carried him and trying to breastfeed!

He will have Jack, but then he gets to pick the middle name? Hmm

I'm not even in love with the name Jack, it was a compromise from Jaxon... Angry
