Yesterday I heard someone calling Albert and Gladys, I expected to see a pair of old age pensioners not two children.

Yeah. I call one of my kids "Woody" as a nn. A lot of people think it's his real name. And it bears no relation whatsoever to his real name. Starsky could be a nn for James, you never know!

Agree - may be a nn. I use silly pet names all the type even when out and about, few are linked at all to DD's name.

Ha my dds nicknames are. Gladys and Mildred! Nothing like their names more their personalities.

I call dd Nelly or Nell because that's what my Dad used to call me and my dsis. I've had looks as well . He real name is nothing remotely like it.
