For a friends pfb. Middle name Anne.

What do you think? Which do you prefer?

Thanks.

Honestly??
Yuk to all.
Sorry!

Meglet · 08/07/2012 19:18

um, none of them I'm afraid.

And that's probably the first time I've said that on a baby names thread.

ChunkysMum · 08/07/2012 19:20

I'm asking here as my 'naming style' I suppose, is very different to my friends, but want to give her some feedback (she has asked).

O golly.

ChunkysMum · 08/07/2012 19:21

Even if you aren't keen. Is there one you dislike the least?

They're all a bit "big fat gypsy weddingish" I'm afraid. Anne is nice though

balia · 08/07/2012 19:22

Lily-May if it really has to be one of those three as the other two are awful.

UnnamedFemaleProtagonist · 08/07/2012 19:22

Lily-may is the least awful.

JollyGoodFun · 08/07/2012 19:22

Not Kizzi-Leigh.

Well, not any of them but Kizzi surely isn'ta real name

MamaGeekChic · 08/07/2012 19:22

Erm... if you have nothing nice to say say nothing at all sorry

ThisTimeNextYearRodney · 08/07/2012 19:22

Good grief, they're bad. Lily-May the least bad though

LemonTurd · 08/07/2012 19:23

Those are like the names of Satan on MN.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 08/07/2012 19:23

I would personally lose the hyphen and then go with one of the names as a single with Anne as a middle name.

I don't really like hyphenated names but they are all fine as singles (apart from not a fan of kizzy)

HecateHarshPants · 08/07/2012 19:23

erm. Does she have her heart set on one of those Grin

If I had to choose one of them, it would be Lily May (no hyphen)

Lily and May are both pretty names

or maybe Lila May

I really really don't like the other two.

LemonTurd · 08/07/2012 19:23

I quite like Jean on its own. Kizzy makes me think of Roots.

GhouliaYelps · 08/07/2012 19:24

Oh dear

shineypenny · 08/07/2012 19:24

Lily-May if she must, but why not Lily May or May Lily as two names?
Much nicer.

MamaGeekChic · 08/07/2012 19:24

Was Kizzy not the name of the young mum on that bbc3 'documentary'?

FellatioNelson · 08/07/2012 19:26

They are all hideous.

ChunkysMum · 08/07/2012 19:28

It will be hyphenated although I will probably drop the second hyphenated name when talking to baby and there's no chance she'll like Anne as a name.

She hates my pfb's name (would never say so but it's obvious) and it made me a little sad at first so am trying to be open minded about her ideas.

Are these sorts of names really THAT disliked? There seem to be quite a few like this about. Friend's dd won't get picked on or looked down on will she?

Lily-May if I was forced to make a choice

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 08/07/2012 19:28

Shock erm, shall try to be constructive. Is hard.

Without the hyphen, the least offensive would probably be Lily May Anne.

Alexis Jean nn Lexi? Anne really isn't going to work after Jean.

If she MUST have a hyphen how about Anne-Marie or Mari-anne? The proper versions would be infinitely preferable but at least these sound OK until you see them written down.

FellatioNelson · 08/07/2012 19:29

Lily May is done to death, Kizzie is pretty but Kizzie-Leigh Anne is just naff. Lexi is pretty (but common now) and Lexi-Jean is naff. They all just sound trailer trashy.

Jeannie is sweet though.

kilmuir · 08/07/2012 19:30

Yuk. Be a good friend and tell her they are trashy and horrid

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 08/07/2012 19:30

Child will probably be looked down on, yes. There's not a lot you can do about that though. People judge, 'tis not right but they do.
