Or more specifically, an Australian section here?

I've searched for 'Australia' and there are quite a few threads but mainly about moving to/from. I fear that any threads I start will be lost in the mumsnet sea.

I’m Aussie, live in Sydney. I used to be on Essentialbaby, then moved to Everybump for a while but I left because the moderators were very heavy handed with views they disagreed with and there were a few bullies who seemed to get away with anything because they were ‘in’ the clique. Oh and the covid obsession did my head in. It was all they talked about.

Did anyone join the Everybump spinoff Motherlode?? It was set up by a few people who got kicked out of EB for expressing gender critical views. I didn’t visit for a month or two and then it seemed to have vanished.

Hey I’m an Aussie living in Brisbane.
I used to be on Essential Baby but also found the mean girl cliques pretty crap so I didn’t post much. I also found Every Bump to be exactly the same as the clique were the moderators. It’s easier to blend in here and I like that there are a range of views.
It’s cool and rainy in Bris Vegas today sand I’m loving the public holiday. Have a great day off everyone!

Aussie in Sydney here (although born overseas). I met DH here many years ago then ended up in the UK as he couldn’t get a visa, have been back since 2007. Enjoying a beautiful sunny Anzac Day morning before we meet family at the Bowlo 😁 I met some wonderful people at MN meetups in Brighton in the 90s, still in with a couple (offline) now.

I was on EB for years and years then switched to this place finding it far more diverse, lively and interesting. I am a dual citizen and have lots of connections to the UK so I enjoy that perspective.

I think I have seen some EB stalwarts here, or people with the same usernames at least. My memory is terrible but maybe Lucrezia, Echt, Lyra? I could be making any or all of those up 🤣

@blueled - at some point my oodie ended up as the dog's bed liner, need to retrieve it and get her something else!

Apparently we have all been doing something called "Revenge Bedtime Procrastination" By definition I'm sure this begins when we have babies!

Yes Aussie here...I live in the New England in NSW. So cold, we've had the fire going for a couple of weeks already.

Australian in Australia here. Lived in the UK for about 7 years pre kids and had the best child free and single life.

Used to be on Essential Baby, still a couple of iFB groups with some of my Due Date groups. Still friends in real life with one who I have met up with several times

I am Irish/British/Australian, living in Perth. It's a cool and rainy Anzac day here, I have my Oodie on, which is a big difference to the weekend as I went to the beach on Saturday. Might go out for a bit of Two-up later!

I'm from the UK originally but now live in Sydney. Generally love it, especially the weather (aside from the past few years...its been monsoon-like!!)
