A&C Weekly Challenge 2008

New Year & a New thread - post what you hope to start/finish this week!

I have bought lots of fabby gemstones & I want to try & make some different types of jewellery, different ways of stringing etc.

DH also bought me some rainbow fluorite & I want to make myself a necklace & bracelet, although am still pondering what style I fancy!

(& my bog is sadly neglected, I must try harder!)

Must get my act together and set some decent targets to flop at aim for!

Here goes the outstanding ones;

  • make up pink knitted thingy
  • cut 40 animal die cuts
  • pink limo card done
  • MN Blue challenge
  • MN Easter swap
  • Chinese Whisper Care
  • x10 Sample mother's day cards
  • x2 paper gifts of some sort for Mother's day

Update list with cards needed for March!

Should keep me out of mischief for a while!

whizzz- you have been amazingly produtive and busy! lovely pieces all of them...

I have done nothing but the cupcakes today...

going to get into gear tommorow though...

Whizzz, lovely stuff. Im sure the purple bracelet would look good as a necklace too. Really like the colours, too!

Dior, im going crosseyed at the thought of all those jump rings! Looks great though!

My sewing plans for today were thrown out of the window by a call from the estate agent saying that someone wanted to view the house - so I had a mad rush round to make sure everything was spick and span!! He seemed to like it though so fingers crossed.

Meri - Can I just have the frosting off your cupcakes? (I wouldn't eat the rest as I don't like chocolate flavoured things ).

Whizz - I love the amethyst bracelet and agree that it would look good as a necklace too.

Otherwise today - just been to my 2nd kickboxing session of the week - I'm sure they're not doing my old body any good - but roll on March 10th!!

well i have made 2 bracelets today here but need to take proper photos tommrow as these ones are rubbish.. and done a bit of sketching... had minor disaster with easter swap crafting (i.e. the phone rang while in mid craft and everything fell apart) so will start again after ds is home and gone to bed... grumble grumble...

Whizzz, I love your recycle bits. They're really funky.

Well dh came back with a bunch of roses for me last night (apparently all the women at work gave him a hard time ).
This is what I've been up to.

I would really appreciate it if youi could all give me your opinions on prices.
Obviously I've never sold before so I dont want to over price but I havent a clue where to start.
Realisticly what would you say would be a decent price at a craft fair?

Lovely Whizzz.......I think those squiggly bookmarks are really great- got quite a few a while back from Jilly Beads but only ever got around to beading one of them for my sisiter!!!

NBG - for beady photos, you need a close up (macro) facility - it's usually shown as a flower logo. Avoid the use of flash where possible, try to photo near a window for natural light. Put your jewellery on a mat background not something shiny.
If you have Photo Shop or other editing software, you can often 'tweek' out shadows & adjust colours.

jsut been busy writting up a recipe on my blog.. and blogging about this sketch I did today.. that M helped to make a cup of tea so i could stain it..

re: my cards
i took a selection of my work to be looked at so as to be considered to become part of a design team - so i hope they haven't sold them as i nicked them back from people i'd made them for!!!!

i'm gonna e-mail them - i'm to scared to phone i hate making phonecalls - dp thinks this is weird but i find it nervewracking i prefer to text or email people - actually dp is right i am very weird
