Tillyboo · 11/10/2007 17:51

I don't know what's going on but this is the third post I've tried. If this fails I'm going to give up.

Anyway, I can't seem to find the old thread for some reason, my laptop is doing funny things so maybe it's at my end?

Anyway, I cannot see what you all have achieved so far this week but here is my blog with what I have done or you can have a peep in my profile but the pictures are quite diddy

Congrats Champs, boys are wonderful, until they hit the teens and pretend you don't exist anymore....
At which point Yay, you get your life back!

GingermonkeySucksBlood · 28/10/2007 17:48

Ok, champs wins the acheivement for the week award!!!!! Well done, hope you are all doing ok.

lucykate · 28/10/2007 18:57

Tillyboo · 28/10/2007 19:10

Well done Champs ! I don't think we'll top that this week ...

Did you get much crafting done

OP posts:
Whizzz · 28/10/2007 19:30

Well look what I have just done !!
a Whizzzy Blog ! This first post was really just a test to see how it all works & I think I seemed to have managed to get something on there !!

I saw so many scrummy things in Cornwall but only managed to visit one bead shop, only managing to sneak in just before closing. Craft shops seemed to be full of Christmas things - painted hearts & beady wire things. I was a bit at the prices of jewellery - lariats like the type I make, selling at £50 !! But it did give me an idea to make some on suede flat coloured thong rather than 'round' black leather cord.
I also have another post to add about my close encounter with a 'celeb'

Dingle · 28/10/2007 19:55

BIG CONGRATS to Champs!! Did you have your bags packed in time?

Love the pics on your blog Whizzz! I am fealling really down and they have made my smile!! Thank you!

jeangenie · 28/10/2007 22:20

well done champs - fab news indeed

love your new blog whizzz - have left you a comment

I have updated my blog with my latest crafting activities - finished my scarf and made a tiny quilt today. Although I find I am writing more stuff in there I am loosely managing to keep to crafts - I must say so far the blog has been brilliant for getting me to keep things going and planning ahead. Also absolutely fab for forcing some documentation and recording of projects, which is something I never used to do.

So, my plans for next week involve:
Fixing Eli's afghan
sourcing some yellow wool for a scarf for DD1 - she wants some doggie motif on it - HELP!
sorting out the fabric and wool stashes if I can bear to go too near
getting started on a new afghan for myself (on the bus project #2)

GingermonkeySucksBlood · 28/10/2007 22:40

My emu is complete! Hoorah!!!! I'll blog it tomorrow. In the meantime, check out my blog - especially you Whizzz for some completely non crafty but very lovely pics of my new babies. SOmehow I don't think I'll be getting much done this week (see champs, it's not just you that has produced a baby this week - I had kittens, lol )

whizzz's blog has made me laugh so much, tea came out my nose [ewww emoticon] , don't worry whizzz, i didn't write that in my comment , going to have to do a link to that from mine as i've been asked where the bracelet came from.

we've still got another week of half term to go so crafting still not happening, plus ds has had a really weird virus, he's on the mend now but have had over a week of not much sleep. he's got a spotty rash round his mouth, arms, legs, hands, feet, none on his trunk though, some have blistered. he's already had chicken pox (badly) so don't think its that. hoping he's ok to go to nursery this week.

Dingle · 29/10/2007 13:50

I have eventually got around to adding a few links on my blog. I still have more to add but please shout if there is a problem with me adding you!!! I was thinking of setting up a MN crafters link but not sure how anyone feels about it so I just added a general links heading!!!
Right MUST get on!!!

jeangenie · 29/10/2007 20:53

dingle I love your little robin - v cute
gingermonkey those greenies are fabulous, amelie and her legwarmers made me grin very widely indeed
lucyK DD2 has had a similar thing - spots around mouth, on hands and feet and sore throat, lost voice etc. Poor mites. Hope you get some respite soon
have lost my crochet book and can't remember how to do a granny afghan square so am going to go to bed early (was up at 5.30am in order to get to work early in case had to come home early to sick-child-sit so am totally zonked) and start again tomorrow

jeangenie · 29/10/2007 20:59

oh dingle I think you have a minor problemette with those links you have added - two http bits seem to be coming up in the addresses when I click - am guessing blogspot puts one in automatically and you probably put another in

should be easy enough to sort out

Dingle · 30/10/2007 12:13

I am having probs with my new PC...keep getting boxes pop up while I am online saying that I need to connect...thought it was just me as it won't do anything when I click on them!! Will try to have a look later on- Thank you jeangenie!!

jeangenie · 30/10/2007 23:02

I need to add another to my list of challenges - though it probably won't get completed this week (so how does that work - do I leave it out until I think it will have some chance of completion or put it in now?)

anyway, it is another fixing project raggedy annie

GreebosWhiskersIsCherryRed73 · 31/10/2007 17:03

Congrats Champs - that's brilliant news

GM I've had a look at Amelie the Emu on your blog & she's GORGEOUS! Mhara's gonna love her

I finished my halloween bags (all 7) & they're on my blog (which is playing up unfortunately & won't let me upload some of the close-ups (boo-hoo). I also have 6 corsages, 4 hairband/earwarmer/neckwarmer thingys & 3 belts to go on as soon as dh gets his finger camera out.

For this week I want to try a crocheted doll - no idea how I'm going to do her yet tho'.

Dingle · 31/10/2007 18:50

Tillyboo · 31/10/2007 22:10

This week ....

A Mummy bunny to go with my baby bunny

OP posts:
Tillyboo · 01/11/2007 09:36

Mummy bunny is finished, here she is.

So, for the rest of this week I plan to ..

a) make some smallish things for the fayre - keyrings - bookmarks maybe

I have loads to do in the garden tho and hubby away this weekend so whether I get any crafting done remains to be seen

OP posts:
GingermonkeySucksBlood · 01/11/2007 10:41

I have been quite productive this week. I can't remember what my list was though
Ummmm....

:: Green Emu - Done (and posted and hopefully arriving any day now, GW!!!!)
:: 2 x Green horses - done
:: Christmas Decs - I made 13 little stuffed stockings, 5 gingerbread men (then I ran out of brown felt ), 3 robins (same felt problem!), 8 linen and fabric birdies, 7 tiny red and white spotty stockings to fill with sweeties
:: 9 x lavender bags
:: appliqued 6 bibs and 1 vest (tho I have started another 5)
:: and I started some corsages

phew, I'm exhausted!!!!
TB, I love your bunnies - they remind me of the hugglies you made ages and ages ago (and I still love them)

GingermonkeySucksBlood · 01/11/2007 10:44

oh, and I did the halloween costumes for DD and her friend. They weren't very exciting, just a red, black and grey witches skirt/tutu and I appliqued a felt cat onto a t-shirt. She was happy though, and her friend looked like she was going to wee herself with excitement!, bless em!

Tillyboo · 01/11/2007 10:59

Blimey GM, sounds like you need a lie down with a Vodka after all that lot ! Not surprised you are knackered !

I reckon you must have some elves to help you out during the night .

OP posts:
GingermonkeySucksBlood · 01/11/2007 14:54

I think I did!

Dingle · 01/11/2007 14:57

Oooo..please send some elves down to me! All I have done today is cleaning and the house is STILL covered in plaster dust! I need to make a card today but I don't suppose I'll get a chance 'til after the kiddies are in bed now!
