Weekly Challenge Thread (New one, can't find old one ????)

I don't know what's going on but this is the third post I've tried. If this fails I'm going to give up.

Anyway, I can't seem to find the old thread for some reason, my laptop is doing funny things so maybe it's at my end?

Anyway, I cannot see what you all have achieved so far this week but here is my blog with what I have done or you can have a peep in my profile but the pictures are quite diddy

I am having a 'craft day' today - well I was, until I started tidying, hoovering, entertaining DS & trying to sort out all my stuff.
It's now 12.00 & I haven't even started crafting ! DS is off to a party later so hopefully I will get some craft time then!

So envious of all of you doing craft stalls

I really wanted to do one but our local fair isnt till next weekend and I'm due the baby on the 28th!
Thought it might have been a bit of a risk lol.

Ok, well I did my first fayre today and I have mixed feelings about it. I've been a bit quiet on the mumsnet front as I've been busy with all the preparations.

Sorry you're not too happy with your fair today, TB, but you did really well and your stall looks fantastic. I know it's hard when it doesn't all fly off the table, but you know how great your stuff is and the bunny order is fab, well done for that! My friend had a fair today and hers went the same as yours, so fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Ginger- I know.. I know but for the record dh has had a migraine since yesterday and ds is comming down with a cold. oh and the lights have gone out downstiars and I haven't got an extra fuse thingy ( I don't really know what to do with one if I did )

I have managed to do one little craft by a dim lamp, fire and candle light. I drew on a bag. well its not that bad really the pictures are rubbish but it was the freebie "Plastic Ain't My Bag" bag that came with Marie CLaire Magazine, I drew on the blank side. here it is on my blog if anyone is bothered. Hi Meridian, thank-you very much ! I like the bag and will get a mag tomorrow (if they haven't all been snapped up) and have a go too !
Mine will probably be very rubbish tho ....

tillyboo- I'm sure it will be lovely, you could always sew something onto it (like um peices of fabric in one of your animal softies, obviously without the stuffing!) , I can't sew but I can draw a bit.. when I don't feck it up and smear it to buggery (I'm a lefty) I'm planning to get some crafts going on monday while ds is in preschool all day as well as the sodding unpacking and genral house cleanning unless dh is no better

Oooh, great idea Meridian - I'm gonna get one too!!!!

ginger- its a good excuse to get a magazine anyway. perhaps we should repost it as a new thread challenge to anyone else that reads the mag. might try to get some knitting done today but dh is feeling a bit better so might actually get the vacuuming done..

Just out of interest (and you dont have to tell me ) where are you all getting your orders from?
I've been using mumzmall for a couple of months now and had not one sale from it.
I'm considering using Etsy. Is that what everyone else is doing?

Nbg, I'm on etsy and have quite a few sales from there. Plus MNers and friends.

Speaking of which - GW and Whizzz - your dinos are done and are currently eating me out of house and home (dinosaurs are suprisingly greedy, you know). I'll blog 'em so you can see pics tomorrow (when the light is better) and get them posted out to you. I hope you like them!

gm - i will email you through your blog about the 'pay it forward' thing, am sat here waiting for ds to go to sleep, he's got a bad cough and a bit of a temp, so i can photograph the little owl i've made as a giveaway on the blog this week, will do that then add the 'pif' thing to the post after that.

i've been meaning to do 'pif' for a while just been far too lazy extremely busy

right, he's gone quiet, but the light is crap, and hey, we had snow yesterday, about 2"!!, all gone this morning due to rain though.

ginger- the bag turned out great, but the question is will it get used or given away? because I think it looks like it could make a nice part of a gift to someone with a few goodies inside.

am starting to feel very depressed at the lack of crafting my side. Working full time (in a job I find deathly boring) and managing two kids just seems to take up all my time somehow. I want more crafting time I end up spending most of my time at work getting more and more frustrated (and surfing more and more craft blogs surreptitiously which of course makes me feel even more inadequate - such LOVELY things out there)
