We were having a cuddle that turned into a bit of a quickie. Ds was playing in his room and occasionally sticking his head around the door but generally not paying much attention to us.

Afterwards I turned around and came face to face with ds sitting on our bed, reading a book and showing me a picture.

He didn't seem at all bothered.
Thoughts?

yes prob.
anyway
i think the OP has got le messaaaaaarge

SPBInDisguise · 25/03/2010 18:17

MoreCrack urgh that's horrible

AllFallDown · 25/03/2010 18:17

It's inappropriate, and I wouldn't be anywhere near comfortable with the situation, but OP ihas clearly NOT committed an offence:

From the NSPCC -

Definition:
The official definition is "sexual abuse involves forcing or enticing a child or young person to take part in sexual activities including prostitution, whether or not the child is aware of what is happening. The activities may involve physical contact, including penetrative (e.g. rape, buggery or oral sex) or non-penetrative acts. They may include non-contact activities, such as involving children in looking at, or in the production of, pornographic material or watching sexual activities, or encouraging children to behave in sexually inappropriate ways" (DfES, 2006)

Key words are "forced or enticed". The child was neither forced nor enticed, even if the parents were careless and heedless.

SuSylvester · 25/03/2010 18:18

yes i think the intention wasnt forced
but hey ho
still

get a grip op

Jamieandhismagictorch · 25/03/2010 18:18

I don't have sex. I only did it twice.

overmydeadbody · 25/03/2010 18:19

RockBird I wouldn't, but only coz we live in a flat. I'd leave my 18 month old playing in his room while I did something in another room, of course, but not have a quick shag, no.

FrameyMcFrame · 25/03/2010 18:20

Actually I'm surprised at the Mumsnet reaction to this, I thought prudishness was the domain of netmums...

SuSylvester · 25/03/2010 18:20

hmm
i think we are htinking about the welfare of the kid.

brassband · 25/03/2010 18:21

I really don't like this thread. If he'd accidentally caught you at it, that would be one thing, but to continue to have sex with your child in and out of the room and then to post on here about it.Odd, very odd
Sounds too close to paedophilia to me.I am going to ask for this thread to be pulled

OtterInaSkoda · 25/03/2010 18:21

What Blu says. And Flook. And others.

overmydeadbody · 25/03/2010 18:21

MoreCrack that is horrible!

I was assuming the OP meant under the duvet frollicks too, rather than anything more graphic.

SuSylvester · 25/03/2010 18:21

how is it peadophilia?

Lizzylou · 25/03/2010 18:22

It is not being a prude to not want to carry on shagging when your 18mth old son is wandering in and out of your room, surely?

JeremyVile · 25/03/2010 18:23

I dont think prudish is applicable...is it?

Eve4Walle · 25/03/2010 18:23

Yes really overmydeadbody!

My DD is 6 and I just couldn't bring myself to do it in case she woke up. I'd have to come clean and I'm not sure she's ready for the birds 'n bees talk yet. She found my 'little friend' a while back and that was bad enough. I had to tell her it was my back massager.

Rockbird · 25/03/2010 18:24

Shame, I was going to ask for some tips OMDB . I often leave DD in another room for five mins but we have stairs so not as easy, the little so and so would be up them like lightening!

FrameyMcFrame · 25/03/2010 18:24

oh ffs, brassband, paedophilia?

Do you know what that means?

Yeah, I'm not liking this thread too much either.

OP - are you getting the message that YABU ?

JeremyVile · 25/03/2010 18:25

See, I didn't imagine a duvet when I read the op. It was doggy style over the end of the bed with one foot against the wardrobe for leverage.

Just thought I'd share.

SuSylvester · 25/03/2010 18:26

any time anyone disagrees wiht anything sexual its claled prudery imo

brassband · 25/03/2010 18:26

I think getting turned on by children watching would faa under that catagory.
