And I know who you are ,but I have to confess just from someone telling me about it,not from actual reading!Yes,YABU - and it gets worse...All I can say is I'm very glad that my cooking doesn't make the people who eat it feel how I feel - the end of family life as we know it,that would be! Well done Pogle! I studied it at college and quite enjoyed it, reread last year and it's a good one. Very different and more fun than marquez etc if you ask me. Does make your mouth water though.

Yes,Treacle and Moomin,I am Baldmoney from the Little Grey Men - down the Bright Stream was the sequel,wasn't it ,and I was thinking I hadn't read that until I checked just now,and it all came flooding back! But I really don't remember anyone being a bad lot and really not worth the effort,so if I've misremembered,sorry!
