AIBU Books Game Part 5

Now we've made it to a fifth thread!

As before, we frame an AIBU from the point of view of a character in a book and everyone tries to guess the book and/or the character.

Everyone welcome to play/time-waste as much or as little as they please.

Actually I was thinking of something along the lines of:

The first A in 'TAFKA' stands for 'artiste of unreasonableness'

But back on topic:

Moomin, a little google cheating leads me to ask whether you are of a certain age?

Hi CJ, mine was A Certain Age by Tama Janowitz. It has mixed reviews but I enjoyed it a lot. I can't say it gave me any desire to hob with the nobs but that ain't going to happen anyway!

...She smashed all the eggs for my first cake...

Yes, let's do a scary theme! But not for a little while, please - it's a few weeks yet till halloween, don't want to wear myself out! Although I suppose it's a bit easier than thinking of pirate books...
