To sleep in the garden tonight

My beautiful dog is going to be put down tomorrow. Shes in pain and the cool air and grown outside seems to offer some relief. She doesnt like to be alone. So I'm thinking about just sleeping in the garden to join her. But im aware that for one I'm grieving and thats clouding my judgement and for two I don't have the most clear judgement anyway.

I should add I'm a scout leader so I'm not afraid of the elements. Its dry and pretty temperate here tonight and I have a lovely double sleeping bag to cosy up in.

Aibdriven mad from grief or should I go for it?

I'm so sorry. I did this with my old boy when the time came and I treasure the memories of all the time we had together. Xx

I am so sorry OP. I stayed up all night on DH's last night, I sat by his side listening to his playlist with the log burner going, I will never regret that last night with him. Wishing you both peace.

Dh dragged us both back in just now. She spent the last few hours half laying on my sleeping bag. Shes now asleep on our bed. Its harder to sleep like this than it was to sleep outside.

Here's a pic of her in the dog buggy going on her last trip to her favourite place. We also bought her McDonald's and steak pie. She loved them. Shes always been riddled with food intolerances so chicken and grain were strictly off the menu. Shes loving being allowed whatever she wants.

Tomorrow I'm keeping the dc off school and we're just going to chill and love on her all day.

I'm so sorry ❤️ do it. You will never look back and regret time spent with her.

I declined a Christmas night out as I was working late and ended up at home eating cheese with my 17 year old dog, and little did I know I was entering my last week with her. I don't regret not going out and being hungover next day and I certainly don't regret my night eating cheese with my old girl.
