AIBU to admit to sister that DH probably vandalised her bathroom but wasn’t responsible for all of it?

Last night we went to my sister’s for dinner. During the evening someone wrote “cunt” on the bathroom mirror in what appeared to be shit (turned out to be Nutella but obviously with it being the bathroom it was immediately assumed to be shit).

My sister was the one who found it and came marching downstairs demanding to know who had done it looking at DH and I. Obviously I didn’t do it and I don’t think she would have done it herself so that leaves DH and BIL. Personally I think BIL is most likely as he does childish stuff all the time, sister is fuming that I’m blaming him but both are denying it. AIBU to think it’s obvious that I’m going to believe DH over BIL??

As the evening went on someone threw wet toilet roll at the bathroom ceiling. I suspect this may have been DH but still he’s denying it. AIBU to tell sister that the toilet roll was probably DH but not the mirror or would this just give her the excuse to blame him for both??

How old are you all? I'm surprised any of you are married as this sounds like child behaviour. Grow up

Yourguessisasgoodasmine · Today 10:53

You all sound like a bunch of tramps to be honest

ByUniqueViper · Today 10:57

How disgusting and disrespectful. Its not primary school!

AgileMentor · Today 10:58

Sorry why is your husband throwing wet tissue on your sister bathroom ceiling? I’d be ever so embarrassed if that was mine.

ScottBakula · Today 11:05

I remember the bike one and wondering how the hell that situation came about.
How did op get into sister's house?
( I gave up reading after a few post so I don't know if this was answered)

@AliceNotInChains there is absolutely no way any of you would be invited back to my house if this was even remotely true.
There is no way a whole toilet roll would stick to the ceiling, you need to get much better at lies if you want us to believe you.
You have had enough practice now !

NCForOneNightOnly · Today 11:06

Very grown up. Did you all flick bogies at the ceiling too?

Most ridiculous thing to put on mumsnet. I just hope none of you are parents because you barely sound mature enough to have left primary school.

Of all the things that never happened, this never happened the most

Bananalanacake · Today 11:24

Surely the culprit is who ever took the jar to the bathroom.

Phoenixfire1988 · Today 12:30

Bigreddog25 · Today 12:34
