To think Taylor Swift is a big meanie for not releasing just 1 photo of her in her wedding dress?

Before anyone says "maybe she just wants to keep her entire wedding - including dress - private"...

  1. She's made her whole career about her personal life

  2. Her fans are often young girls who idolise her. (I have 2 nieces age 10 and 12 who are really disappointed they have seen nothing).

  3. Said fans have made her a billionaire and essentially therefore paid for the huge wedding!

  4. It's been over 2 weeks since said wedding so plenty of time for her to have relaxed afterwards and then selected a single sodding photo to release

  5. It's not like she needs to sell the photos for money

I think it's quite mean of her tbh. It would be less bad if she TOLD these young fans either "you will see the dress in my forthcoming documentary" or "I've decided to keep it private". At lease then they would know.

'If all billionaires billionaired the way Taylor Swift does, I think billionaires might be a little more popular tbh'

What a bizarre thing to be concerned about.

What a bizarre misunderstanding of my post

She literally cannot do anything right can she? She will be criticised and slated for whatever she does. She got married where she wanted to, with the people she wanted. As she has every right to do.

Lol, nobody dreams of getting married at Madison Square Garden. She chose it because it could be locked down, controlled, and kept almost completely out of public view. And let’s not pretend the guest list was some tiny circle of lifelong intimates when she barely had relationships beyond casual acquaintance with a huge number of them. She had every right to do it that way, obviously, but people are also allowed to say it looked less like a personal wedding and more like a heavily secured corporate summit.

Entitled to others private life even tho they are famous...No!

I'm pleased to see you mentioned your age OP, I was beginning to think - from your language (who says "meanie"??) and use of capitals - that you were only a couple of years older than your nieces.

She owes your nieces nothing, and maybe it's time they learned that being a fan of someone doesn't mean you can have access to every aspect of their lives. She may release photos, she may not, but it is her decision and nothing to do with you.

The people who think they are on honeymoon are deluded. After the wedding they went to the billionaires playground for a few days (Yellowstone club), then to someone else's wedding. Now Travis is in Florida with his bros and Taylor is hiding out somewhere else like usual (possibly Rhode Island).

What definition of “hiding out” are you using here? Are all celebrities not currently being photographed also hiding out right now?
If she wasn’t “hiding out” would she be “parading herself”?

GeorgeMichaelsCat · 20/07/2026 07:28

pinck · 19/07/2026 22:45

I genuinely don’t think it will. She announced the engagement, publicized the entire fucking MSG debacle, and has spent years turning her private life into a carefully scheduled marketing campaign, but now everyone is apparently supposed to pretend the wedding is sacred classified information because Princess Taylor has decided nobody may know anything.

Why so bitter?

If kids are upset that celebrities don't care about them enough to put out a wedding photo, their parents need to do better. How utterly insane.

Agree. They should use it as a teachable moment- that they don't know celebrities, and that strangers don't owe them anything.

SilverScuff · 20/07/2026 07:36

I find it really hard to imagine that any child is genuinely upset about this, especially now when the wedding is long gone.

Or just photoshop TS and Travis’s heads onto Posh and Becks sitting on their wedding thrones, if your nieces are really having their young lives ruined by this’?

This. The parasocial relationship people have with celebrities is very fucking weird and nobody is entitled to see anything from anybody’s life.

100%

Imagine having to know everything about the private life of someone you don’t know,

it’s weird AF

simping for your favourite billionaire (and her PR team). good for you.

MrsPapillon · 20/07/2026 09:28

GiffGaffClapTrap · 20/07/2026 09:25

Wow.

Why ‘Wow’?

Taylor Swift said publicly before the wedding that she was inviting everyone she’d ever said ‘Hello’ to. It very obviously wasn’t a ‘close friends and family’ job.

GallopingConsumption · 19/07/2026 21:20

Well she's set up fans for expectation and disappointment by releasing photos of the proposal and then after the wedding just...nothing. That's not fair imho on your average young girl. Life is full of enough disappointments without learning at age 10 that your idol dgaf about you!

Are you a ten years old? Because you certainly sound like one.

I was that age when the 90s pop star I was meant to be marrying went and got himself a girlfriend. Which I realised meant he wasn't going to remain single until I grew up, meet me, marry me and we'd have babies. And yet somehow I managed to survive and get on in life unscathed.

Backedoffhackedoff · 20/07/2026 09:37

On the contrary - this is a really low-risk way for them to learn about disappointment , boundaries etc.

As a young girl I was smitten by big dresses princesses and wedding etc. I could have done with being a bit more smitten with my own life and giving less of a shit what other people think and want from me and more effort listening to what I wanted tbh.

Congrats, your 9 year old has more maturity and common sense than this supposed grown adult OP!

QuintadosMalvados · 20/07/2026 09:41

If this were just about teenagers, I'd get it.
It's not though. This obsession with Swift extends to adult women.
I've honestly had an Oxbridge educated in-law trying to engage me in a 'how wonderful she is' conversation.

I was speechless as I was too tired to reply and couldn't even muster any banal platitudes.

Billionaire, capitalist pop star.

Apparently she is now the fourth wave (or whatever wave we're at now) feminist idol. Go figure.

She's made her whole career about her personal life

So? should she release a sex tape as well? Tell us if she gets piles? She has a right to privacy when she chooses.

Her fans are often young girls who idolise her. (I have 2 nieces age 10 and 12 who are really disappointed they have seen nothing).

They should learn they aren't entitled to see anything from pop stars.

Said fans have made her a billionaire and essentially therefore paid for the huge wedding!

Said fans have not donated to make her rich, they have bought stuff or attended gigs that they enjoyed, and they got what they paid for.

It's been over 2 weeks since said wedding so plenty of time for her to have relaxed
afterwards and then selected a single sodding photo to release.

Photos can take ages to edit, aside from the fact she might want to keep them private.

It's not like she needs to sell the photos for money

She doesn't need to release photos at all.

This parasocial shit with celebrities and influencers is disturbing honestly.

I dont even particularly like Taylor Swift and even I'm feeling claustrophobic at the amount of demands being placed on her a week or two after her wedding.

Every word of this. I'm a self-proclaimed Swiftie, but don't feel entitled to see anything of the wedding at all. Just because her career means she engages with a lot of people that in no way means she's under any obligation to share anything that she doesn't want to. Me buying a concert ticket or an album doesn't mean I'm entitled to see or hear any details that she might not wish to share. She has a right to privacy, as do we all.

Who said it was?

She can invite who she likes to her own wedding. Why are you so angry and bitter? Why are you swearing about a woman that is successful and hasn't negatively impacted your life in any way?

Bubblehubbles · 20/07/2026 09:47

Icecreamisthebest · 19/07/2026 21:38

I think she will release one, given she released engagement photos. And that her fans should be happy for her to focus on herself and her new husband right now

. She’s not being mean, she’s being normal. Everyone else needs to be normal too and get on with their own lives until the photo comes.

Normal - she built a fairy castle in Madison Square Garden.

There is nothing normal about her, and that’s how she likes it.

Holding back photos will be a power play, like everything else with TS.

You’re over invested.
