To think Taylor Swift is a big meanie for not releasing just 1 photo of her in her wedding dress?

Before anyone says "maybe she just wants to keep her entire wedding - including dress - private"...

1. She's made her whole career about her personal life

2. Her fans are often young girls who idolise her. (I have 2 nieces age 10 and 12 who are really disappointed they have seen nothing).

3. Said fans have made her a billionaire and essentially therefore paid for the huge wedding!

4. It's been over 2 weeks since said wedding so plenty of time for her to have relaxed afterwards and then selected a single sodding photo to release

5. It's not like she needs to sell the photos for money

I think it's quite mean of her tbh. It would be less bad if she TOLD these young fans either "you will see the dress in my forthcoming documentary" or "I've decided to keep it private". At lease then they would know.

I guess she will wait until she needs another publicity boost/marketing or to hide something else. She might even wait until the 1st anniversairy- our Taylor is always business first.

That’s literally Taylor Swift’s entire business model and a huge part of why she’s a billionaire. She markets herself as the relatable everygirl, encourages fans to treat her life like an ongoing group chat and positions herself as someone little girls should adore, decode, and emotionally invest in. Then the second those same fans expect one wedding photo, suddenly everyone starts clutching pearls about parasocial entitlement and blaming the parents. Like, this is exactly what she wants. You do not spend twenty years monetizing intimacy, rewarding obsessive attention, planting clues, and turning your private life into communal lore only to act baffled when the audience feels personally invested. She built that machine brick by brick. Pretending the fans invented the relationship entirely on their own is absurd.

I know it's her life and all that, but I agree @GallopingConsumption she needs to hurry up, she got married 2 weeks ago now!

I am very impressed though, that out of 1000 guests, every one of them has managed to keep any pics they took under wraps.

Also can you explain to me how someone feeling personally invested in someone's life, means they are entitled to feel disappointed by someone not giving them what they want, seems like we teach young women the opposite of that when it comes to boys and consent, so im interested as to why the rules differ because its a famous person they dont personally know?

Um, little kids have always idolized celebrities. That is not something parents can simply prevent by issuing a stern household ban on admiration. Of course parents should manage expectations, but pretending Taylor bears zero responsibility for a parasocial bond she has spent decades deliberately cultivating and monetizing is absurd. She sells intimacy as part of the product, rewards obsessive attention, turns personal milestones into public lore, and encourages fans to feel personally included. Then, when children respond exactly as intended, suddenly it is entirely their fault and their parents’ fault? Please. She cannot profit from creating that level of emotional investment and then wash her hands of it the second it becomes inconvenient.

So what do you think she should do? Share wedding photos she might not want to share because kids have decided she owes them? Or are you looking for an official statement saying 'i want to keep my day private'?

I find it most peculiar that because someone bought a t shirt a gig ticket, silly hat and some tacky bracelets, that someone else therefore owes them complete access to their life. It's not a fair trade now, is it. Fascinating to see that people do believe that though.

Exactly. There's a whole roster of people who didn't bend to my whims when I was 10. Santa, my parents, Jordan from New Kids on the Block, my piano teacher, R in my class at school etc etc. I survived.

If they’d had a very private, small wedding I’d tend to disagree with you, but given it was a MSG, multi-celeb mega bash complete with public billboards, I would have to agree with you from the perspective of her fans (of which I am not one, however).

I sincerely hope it isn't as surely no one is quite that snooker loopy.

But I can see why the poor woman needs a huge security detail if she has a tide of aggrieved mothers chasing her down because little Annabel hasn't seen a wedding dress within a suitable time frame.
