I find them a bit meh. I'm happy for them to do their own thing if they leave me alone. I think this is overstepping. Do vegans not have pets? After all, keeping pets is just forcing animals to live and be controlled by humans.

@Werhere i have found the same too, in ‘real life’ it’s just on here there are always high emotions and drama on Vegan threads, with non vegans being insulting and disparaging though usually

Goady anti vegan people have even post on there with their anti vegan stance, piss taking emojis, telling us we look old and ill, writing ‘what about bacon sandwiches’ etc. Pathetic really.

I’ve never, ever once encountered one of these supposed preachy vegans in real life. People love moaning about them, though.

Your posts make it very obvious each time you come back with another account or username. You are a pbp with yet another account. One of the threads was very dramatic with loads of your posts deleted because they were horrible, before they finally banned you. People don’t forget stuff like that.

Yup, not all vegans are loud. You will always hear about the most extreme, as with every group.

I also think when it comes to pets, vegans with carnivore pets most really care to be able to feed them meat.

Good for you. Why don't you care that animals suffer horrifically and are slaughtered so you can eat pies and burgers though? Don't you agree a better diet and ending animals suffering are good things?

Animal rights group writes a letter to express concern for animal welfare. The business they wrote to has taken the concerns on board and cancelled the event. All perfectly reasonable.

Do you know who is more insufferable than vegans? People who go on about vegans. And I say this as a carnivore. Get over it.

I have been vegan for a long time and I’ve never meat a preachy vegan. I have come across lots of shitty meat eaters who make animal noises at meals, question me when I order a vegan meal, make a point of telling me how tender the lamb they’re eating is, tell me I’ll be ill and unhealthy, ask me if I think I’m better than them, try their ‘gotchas’ of what about the bees, avocado, almonds and water usage etc. I’m not interested in discussing veganism with people like that, I haven’t pushed anything on them, but they feel they can say what they like. When I have answered back, I’m preachy.

There are lots of threads on mumsnet where meat eaters have been the ones being preachy and behaving like arseholes.

I am surprised you say being vegetarian made you naturally vegan as lots of vegetarian food contains eggs, cheese and other dairy products.

I know quite a few vegans and I have to say the majority just get on with it and don't make any fuss. I know one who is of the virtue signalling sort who had become quite insufferable and I now keep my distance but I suspect they are just an annoying person. I also know a few men who are really quite dull when they start droning on about how they cook their meat on their Kamado Joe BBQ and how no other BBQ will do. Some people are just twats.

This is all quite strange to me… I eat meat, my best friend of 30 years has been a vegetarian for two decades, my other close friend is vegan, most of my other friends eat meat. My family is mainly meat eater with a few vegetarians….

and we never talk about it, aside from factoring in restaurants with good vegetarian options when we eat out.

We know why some non-vegans get their knickers in such a twist about vegan choices though, don't we?

And just like the preachy vegans, the goady, questioning non-vegans are a loud voice of a very small minority, but that doesn't fit their rhetoric.
