5th date tomorrow night with a man who has been great up to now. I’ve had to push the time back by an hour - said I’ll need extra time to freshen up after work. His reply to me was: “No worries, can’t be having a whiffy growler lol”.

Is that date cancelling worthy or am I being a bit too harsh?

where did I say it was for everyone, I literally gave 2 extremes and said we fall in between , not sure wether you used the c word for shock value or thought it was clever, I dont type the word as wasn't sure it'd pass the moderators . I also didn't say the man or woman was still 14 yr old or like the TV show inbetweeners with 30yr old men and women playing teenagers. but the audience who found the show funny were certainly adults who it reminded them of childhood

Freshen up is not vulgar, it just led to the lad's remark, that upset his girlfriend, as a follow on. Little bit of a risky comment, fair play, but we want men to take risks-that's where prosperity comes from. Take risks-sometimes they go wrong. Any girl worth anything knows that, and makes allowances. If it's a 'dumping' issue, she's a wee bit too immaure to cope with a worthwhile relationship (imho).

My husband made an inappropriate joke very early in dating that many.on here would have said was a dumping offence. I let him know I wasn't happy, he apologized and never did it again.

If all else is good give him a second chance but let him know it's out of order and see how he reacts.

Of course prosperity comes from risk taking. That's just unarguable economic theory. We want men to take risk ( and we are arguably much better than the ladies at doing so-but that's another battle😅). So the lad took a risk and it went a little bad. Happens-that's the nature of risk. The dumping response would be that of an immature girl who doesn't understand the nature of strong relationships brtween men and women. again you seem to have a skewed opinion of women or even men who enjoyed in-betweeners, it was well written and the audience recognised themselves and their peers , as for the characters they were all successful boys and girls getting plenty , not as much as some claimed , all wanting more and the most successful of the boys was the 1 with the lowest standards ,pretty much summed up life .

You literally admitted the joke is designed by incels to undermine women, but then blamed the women for being annoyed by it. That’s some Olympic-level mental gymnastics just to defend a bloke who lacks basic manners.

True confidence is calling out cheap, childish insults when you see them, not laughing along with incels just to prove to an internet thread that you use soap.
