To ask what's your favourite part of your body?

Seen many threads lately about women fretting over what body parts of themselves that they hate and it makes me sad. It makes me sad that I feel this way about myself, too.

Every single day I see new social media posts/articles about X celebrity has gained/lost weight and looks awful, or 'look at how great this conventionally attractive celebrity looks' then pick her apart down to bone structure and genetics, to make women everywhere race to the mirror once more and pick themselves apart for not looking like that. I'm sick of it.

So, what is your favourite body part? What do you love about your body?

I like my arms. They used to be extremely lean and toned and then I had kids and give up on myself for a while and they got fatter. They're leaning out again now that I have remembered I am a human being and started exercising/eating well again and I'm starting to like them! Yay. I also like my legs even though they're short and stubby as hell. But they're curvy and chonky and I like it.

I have to say my least favourite part would be my stomach as it is 90% loose skin and no effort. But, I'm coming to accept it for what it is; my children's first home and, well, it's just a stomach. Who cares.

Let's be having it sexy ladies

Small waist despite 3 kids. Long, natural strawberry blonde hair (can't see any greys at 49). Green eyes.

Quite like my 34B tits now, used to want bigger like most girls, but i see now that they're perfect for my body.

Edited

No greys at 49?? Lucky lucky. Im 29 and have found 3 greys so far. My life is just stress and caffeine tbf

My skin is reasonable for my age. A few have said I look younger than my age Otherwise no.

Nothing better than having good skin! I've battled with acne since forever

My neck and my shoulders - particularly the bit where my neck runs into my shoulders. Even at my great age they still look good and dh still finds them kissable...

Also my hair. Except when I was a blonde child, I've always been sadly mousey with blonde highlights when I went in the sun. Now the grey and the blonde have combined. I look blonder than i ever have. No hair dye here.

And I like my narrow hips, although they do exagerate my apple belly.

Edited

Aw that was lovely to read about your DH still finding them kissable, how romantic.

I had mousy brown hair when I was younger and hated it so i dyed it black (emo phase) and then bleached it and it all fell out 😬 finally have managed to get it long again since going back to brown and im never cutting or bleaching it again lol. Have to dye it though cos im old and have found 3 greys

I have fab hair. It's thick, wavy and naturally dark auburn coloured.

I also have a damn good brain.

Elmo230885 · Yesterday 17:49

My collar bones. I've lost weight and I can now appreciate them.
I have nice hands too.

Hohofortherobbers · Yesterday 17:57

I like my eyebrows. Naturally great shape.
Rest of me is pretty good too. Nothing i really dislike, Go Me! 😅

dairydebris · Yesterday 17:59

I dont think any part of my body looks technically good, but I love it all as it gave me my kids and fed them and every day affords me pleasure of some kind... it's healthy enough despite the shit I feed it and I'm very grateful for it 🥰

Echobelly · Yesterday 18:02

I have large eyes that are a very nice shade of grey-blue. Decent legs, too.

I generally very happy with my looks and body and always have been - and I am really not a supermodel! It makes me sad that being unhappy with how they look seems to be the default for women and girls.

GreyRooted · Yesterday 18:15

After decades of acne, probably my skin. And my silver hair. I’ve recently lost nearly 4 st and although I look better in clothes, sadly I look shit naked.

MagpieCastle · Yesterday 18:16

In the past, it was my almost perfect (for me) nose. Sadly, age seems to have transformed it into more of an average nose. At the moment, it’s possibly cheekbones - though lately they also seem to veer towards being a bit ‘meh’. My collar bones still rock though.

My skin is OK for a 65 year old. I would have said my eyes... but I've just been diagnosed with cataracts so they have let me down.

StrawberryMatchaLatte · Yesterday 18:20

Face, boobs, bum.My boobs are a 32H but still quite perky.

Itsallsostressful · Yesterday 18:22

Fab thread OP ☺️. I would say still like my legs and little bum at 54 and still blessed with good skin 😀

My hair.
58 years old, natural redhead.....not one grey hair!
Everyone thinks I dye it but I don't!

My arse. It's fantastic. And still fairly good at 51. I also have nice lips. I have awful legs though.

Them's the breaks. I feel like you can't have nice tits, nice waist, nice hips/bum, and nice legs (well, it's very rare, and subjective to oppinion and culture).

I recon most of us get 2 out of 4... 3 if we're lucky. There's always that one thing. Mine is def my legs, they are v chunky, i don't show my knees ever! I still love my legs tho, i walk a lot and appeciate them immensely.

That's the red head superpower! You probably won't go grey at all, it'll just fade until it's beautiful white.

I have a very nice hourglass figure, 46-36-46. Yes it's large but it's in lovely proportion.
I have strong hands and arms and nicely shaped legs. My calf muscles are like Christmas puddings.

Thick hair and great skin.

icannotlivelaughloveintheseconditions · Yesterday 18:33

My eyes, waist and back (outside appearance only, on the inside my back is a crumbling arthritic mess)

ScullyD · Yesterday 18:33

I have great boobs. Big but also a good shape.

A perfect hourglass is rare, lucky lady!

Prombles · Yesterday 18:33

I'm fairly hideous all over, the only thing I can think of is the shape of my fingernails. Not my fingers, they're short and boney, but my fingernails have a nice curved shape.

DreamingOfGeneHunt · Yesterday 18:36

@Muffsies thank you! It does mean that trousers and jeans never fit (baggy at the waist if they fit on my bum) but that's a small price to payGrin

verabarbleen · Yesterday 18:37

Good post! I like my face and my freckles. I have dark hair and Olive skin and freckles on my nose and cheeks .

Stillshepersisted · Yesterday 18:42

My eyes are very unusual - sort of almost orange and they are large too. A Cuban lady once told me my eyes were ‘like fire’ which is a compliment I still cherish! I have a very nice back, it’s got lots of visible muscle from years of strength training and a very cool large tattoo. My lips are nice too. Very defined Cupid’s bow. I have spent far too long disliking myself intensely but as I’ve got older I appreciate my body for being strong, birthing my children and still letting me deadlift twice my body weight in my early fifties.
