To wonder why so many male migrants have committed sexual assaults:even if they are evil people, wouldn't staying in the UK be an incentive to abide by the law?

Jane379 · Today 00:05

I KNOW that plenty of the men who come are not evil and don't want to commit sexual assault. But clearly a number who have come are, and there's strong evidence that male migrants are disproportionately lileky to do so.

This almost surely at least partly caused by misogynistic culture in various areas meaning back home they perceived uncovered women as permissible to assault. But surely they know it's different here? That they will likely be caught? They are at least more likely to be punished here for assault.

Or are they convinced our police system will let them off?

Or they're not aware our norms are different?

Or just don't care about the consequences?

I wonder also if criminals are in a sense selected for since they may have little to tie them to their home countries, or even be escaping punishment there.

You mean the SCREAMING headlines, when the migrants put a foot wrong?

No, it’s not that.

The Centre for Migration Control data compares apples with oranges. It’s completely flawed.

Again another post that denies actual facts and evidence. It is exactly as I explained:

The Centre for Migration Control report showed that Afghan nationals were 22 times more likely to be convicted of sex offences than British nationals.

Madeleine Sumption, the director of the Migration Observatory however disputes these figures estimates the rate to be 14.5 – not 22 – times higher for Afghan nationals.

So in summary Afghan nationals are between 14.5 to 22 times more likely to commit sex crimes than British nationals.

Yet still I'm sure that you will either refuse or dispute these figures.

AlternateLook · Today 09:06

It's cultural. Many of these men come from a society where the attitude to women is medieval.

Are you referring to rape as 'putting a foot wrong'?

Wipeywipey · Today 09:07

There are more non-migrant men attacking women in this country by far.
Our own men were raised here with our "values" and entire education system and free healthcare. They haven't seen active warfare, famine or homelessness and displacement like many migrants have. You should be asking why so many of our own hurt women.

Of course. To those people it’s no big issue. Women must sacrificed at the altar of mass uncontrolled immigration.

By head of population, migrant men commit far, far more sexual crimes than indigenous men.

Convicted is not the same as commited.

Who do you think a jury is more likely to convict?

A white boy who does well at swimming?

Or an Afghan refugee?

Agree. There is evidence to suggest men in powerful positions have an elevated level of sexual abuse-shall we ban this, too?

They have lived in a country where women are covered from head to toe, so they are seeing for the first time : bare legs, lots of cleavage, pretty faces, long hair uncovered (blonde probably exciting, as never seen before).

They come from countries where women have no rights.

They come from countries where rape isn't a crime.

If they venture out late at night, in a City, they will have access to lots of women who are drunk, who will find it hard to fight off an attacker.

They can see from the news, that even if you get caught, and then convicted of rape, the sentence is non existent, or, even if you do go to jail, the jail is probably not that bad an option, as it'll be nicer than where they came from, they will get a roof over their head and 3 square meals a day for FREE.

AND

Many will be virgins, and those that aren't virgins haven't had sex for a VERY long time - they will be about as horny as it gets. Sexual urges and the raging horn, plus an erection in his pants, will override all common sense, in that moment.

I mean, how many times do men follow their dicks, without all the other stuff thrown in? We've seen it time, and time again, without all the extra factors listed above.

excuse me but "assault" and "encounter" are different things. I do not believe that most women are assaulted as children, or indeed ever.

It’s not an “encounter” if one person is under 16 and the other isn’t, it is assault. I really do believe most females are under 16 when they experience some type of sexual assault for the first time. It might be minor - Iwas 14 when I had my bum groped by a man at the funfair, but it’s still sexual assault.

DustyMaiden · Today 09:14

I had a strange experience that enlightened me to the difference in cultural perceptions of women.

I had worked for many years at a multicultural corporation. I had management meetings with many Muslim men. They were kind , respectful, intelligent people.

one day we had a team building exercise where we had to stand on chairs. So I took my shoes off.

In the coming weeks three of these men made unwelcome advances to me. I couldn’t understand why after working together so long.

I found out they thought I was promiscuous because my toe nails were painted red.

What are you including when you say ‘put a foot wrong’?

EmeraldShamrock000 · Today 09:16

That depends on whether they respect the law.
Those who commit these offences, foreign and local nationals don’t respect the law or women, they hope to get away with it too.
They are evil people who don’t care about others regardless of their race.
They are still a minority in society (I hope) the laws need to be changed and enforced. Proper sentencing for any violent crime, no sob stories about a bad past etc.

Yes, and throw porn into the mix... men from a simple village background probably see things like "Fake Taxi Driver" as a documentary.

50sandFabulous · Today 09:23

And just to add also, I think that men from those cultures may try to present as respectable, but given half the chance they will attack.

Lara Logan found this out when she was reporting in Egypt. Her attack was utterly horrifying. Hundreds of men dragged her into the crowd and molested her, digitally raped her, and they also tried to rip her to shreds literally, by pulling all her limbs in opposite directions. They tore out all of her blonde hair. Hundreds of men - and no one objected. She was eventually rescued by a gang of women. She was hanging onto life by a thread.

We allow men here from that culture, and let them live alongside our young women. What could possibly go wrong? I have been saying this for years. I knew this would happen. I knew it. It amazes me that the Government didn't see this coming.

It's like allowing a fox into the chicken coop, because we are afraid of offending the fox.

FFS! None of the men I worked with knew what the law was! No one had told them. When I explained it to them in detail they actually couldnt believe it and thought I was making it up!!! Also, Im a woman so why would they listen to me?

I witnessed loads of domestic abuse in family accomodation and the prepetrator would clearly explain that his wife has her period so was being difficult and why am I interfering with his family life?? They were genuinely perplexed. This is after the law was explained. One family was middle class Jordanians!! Its not just Afghans ,it anyone who comes from a country where women are second class citizens. Do we really want to import this? In addition, it cost 10k to get to the UK on a small boat. 10k!! Money which could have been spent applying for a work visa.

Umm I have to object to this.

Did you see the fall of Kabul? Did you see how the Taliban, under Trump’s arrangement, took control of Afghanistan?

Have you any, any idea of how the Taliban behave to whom they consider traitors?

It is simply not true the men left women and children then - many, even most, families who could get out/assistance from other countries stayed together. Of course many ran - anything to escape torture from the Taliban when there was no chance of winning - but many ran in family groups - some hoped if they ran then their family may possibly just be safer as well.

Nowadays any family requesting passports will only get so many - not all. Not that they can book travel. Women can’t travel without a man - I mean anywhere not just onto a plane - the men have the best, even only, chance of getting out. Afghanistan bordering countries are going to be no better for women/families escaping either.

So? The British Army fought them despite how ‘scary’ they are but Afghan men won’t to save their own wives and daughters? They’ve fucked their women over for generations stop embarrassing yourself trying to excuse it

I agree with you that its likely that more assaults happen to women when they are under sixteen than when they are over....I don't have the stats though.
But if you re read the post i quoted and the one that they quoted, what it actually said was that MOST FEMALES are assaulted or have "sexual encounters" as children and that I do not believe.

Don’t worry - I am not embarrassing myself.

Many Taliban were in prison/ended up in prison at the time of the war. Plus you really think the Afghan men left can match the US military plus NATO support against thousands more Taliban just released from prison? Now that is embarrassing!

Why are we bringing in people who need the law explaining to them. What is the obligation that the country has to import people and then teach them this stuff.

Yes, I do. If there were enough decent men there they would manage. There aren’t - clearly. Stop defending them, it’s sick and insulting

A clear and harrowing account explaining why so many Afghani men want to leave and find a better future for their families. We were complicit in screwing their country up for 20 years before handing it back to the Taliban and abandoning them to their fate.

After the Soviets had spent the decade prior to the end of the USSR attempting to conquer Afghanistan. Not many trying to find asylum in Russia.
