... so not hugely necessary. But say you eat a pizza at a restaurant and you can't quite finish it all. Rather than a full-sized pizza box, can you please give me a half-sized one that I can fit in my handbag please?*

*only applies to more mainstream restaurants, I know that kebab/chicken places will jam anything into a small polystyrene/single use plastic container.

Just a little thing to make the world turn more easily. Also although I get the kids' menu and the discount, can we all please order smaller portions if we wish? Ta!

I’ve never understood why they do this. Us size 8s are usually taller so we’ve got further to bend.

Even worse is putting size 3 shoes above the eyeline of the women who wear them. They can't see them to look at or reach them to pick them up.

Caffeine free energy drink for those of us who like the taste but have already had too much caffeine or aren't allowed it

What this boils down to is everyone wanting the world to do things how they personally like them.

Congratulations! Yep-that’s the point!

Carnage at junctions if four people used their button at the same time 😂

Nah, it would be first come first served, so if you’re a micro-second after me you stay on red. Any time two people pressed at exactly the same time it would be down to random chance who gets the green. You could then do scientific experiments with your friends to finally prove that Charmed Charlie has an easier life due to drawing the good fortune her way.

@MeganM3 if you can drill a couple of small holes in your kitchen bin it prevents a vacuum being formed That is what makes pulling the bag out so tricky.
On a similar note, when you empty your bin don’t just put one bin liner in. Put two in. If your first ( or second actually) bag splits then the other contains the mess.

This is a brilliant tip - I am going to do this today!!!

I try to hard-boil my eggs most of the time, but sometimes, if I'm out and about and I need a bit of sustenance I will buy some hard-boiled eggs. I think they should come with a little packet of salt attached to the side of them.

Totally agree! I was teaching at a school when they banned the use of salt in school dinners, fine, the ruling came from the LA. However, they also removed all the salt pots even from the staff room so my friend and ( me for my hard boiled eggs and her for tomatoes) had to sneak one in and hide it in a desk drawer!

If cafes would give you a glass of water along with your hot drink like they do in some European countries.

We had a meal out the other day was about £20 per head inc a soft drink. I also asked for a tap water, was asked if I meant a bottle (about £3), i said no just a tap water thank you and the server was not happy about it. When she left others at the table actually commented on it!
I can understand the 'oh you want a free drink' thoughts when you're not purchasing other stuff (i have seen this) but when a table is spending over £120 i thought it was just rude!

Bras to be unpadded or padded. Ban all removable bra pads, they are my nemesis after every wash.

Definitely this!!!!!!

Choccyp1g · 03/06/2026 10:15

Packs of black bras and pants not to include any white ones. Or for people who like white, not to sneak black one into the white packs.

Choccyp1g · 03/06/2026 10:17

Caramac045 · 03/06/2026 08:48

You can buy from Amazon just the thing to stop your duvet sliding within its cover.
They are like big ear studs or those things to close a cleavage gap.
I’ve added an image as I don’t know how to do a link 🥹

OMG for a moment I thought they punched into your actual bosom.

But I like to tuck the duvet around me like a cocoon, and those things WOULD end up rammed into my chest.

Any multipack of vest tops/bras/t-shirts not to include the crap colour no one wants.

To not have to pay for car parking on an app!! There was nothing wrong with using coins to pay before.

Caramac045 · 03/06/2026 10:20

@Choccyp1g that made me laugh. They’re not sharp. I like to cuddle the duvet before I fling it over my DH. I’m nice and cool. Him? Not so much 😂

Beachtastic · 03/06/2026 10:22

I'd like an agency to take care of all the difficult conversations in life, e.g. dumping partners, dealing with work bullies, etc. For a small fee they can just let me know when it's safe to come back because everything is sorted out 🫣🫣😁

AImportantMermaid · 03/06/2026 10:23

I would like to see a bag library at supermarkets and other shops. I have dozens of bags because I keep forgetting mine and have to buy more. I’d love to see bins where everyone puts their unwanted bags and then if you forget yours you can pay - I don’t know - about 20p per bag - that you get back when you return them. Or you pay a monthly fee of a pound or two to use and return bags as much as you like.

paradisecircus · 03/06/2026 10:24

Every car park uses the same parking app

Sux2buthen · 02/06/2026 22:28

Slightly more crisps in multipack bags.
some kind of fastening to stop duvets sliding in their cover.

Duvet covers and duvets here have little hoops and ties which you can thread together and tie before turning the cover back the right side out.

They are good at what they are intended for, but a complete faff to tie and untie.

Yes there was - not having enough money, or worse, having too much money and it wouldn’t give you change, and running out of time so you had to rush back or get a ticket. Now, you don’t need to carry cash (which is disgusting when you think about it), and you can extend the time with a simple click. It’s a brilliant idea - it’s annoying that all car parks don’t use the same app, or they install the apps where there’s no access to the internet - that is dumb.

My newer model has a shark fin and I can't add a bobble. I don't want anything that might damage the paintwork. It seems an impossible task. My car is incredibly common, and black. I spend so long looking for it in car parks.
I always take a photo of things nearby as a reference in huge car parparks!!

I use what3words to save the location. Especially useful when you've parked in a long stay car park and been on holiday for 2 weeks.

Duvet covers to all have press stud fastenings instead of buttons - so much easier to take off the cover and I enjoy ripping off the cover quickly 😁

I see your press studs and raise you velcro. It's not classy, but it is easy,

HurdyGurdy19 · 03/06/2026 09:14

I've not tried this myself, so I have no idea if it would work, but could you use WhatThreeWords to identify where your car is, and then follow the directions back to it?

I can do that as long as I can get service; the problem in multistorey and basement car parks persists. Fab suggestion, thank you HurdyGurdy

Dunnow · 03/06/2026 10:59

I agree with so many of these! To add my own:

No one should ever be allowed to send a Teams message at work that just says’Hi [your name]’ and then nothing else. Tell me what you want!

Not being asked multiple times for feedback about absolutely everything I do. If I have something relevant to say then I’ll say it.

The expectation to have an opinion on absolutely everything. There are so many injustices and awful things that happen in the world. I don’t have the time, mental or emotional capacity to know everything about all of it. It doesn’t mean that I don’t care about people but I also have no intention of wading in on an issue that I know nothing about.

OneInEight · 03/06/2026 11:13

A heat controlled bed. Mainly one that does not radiate heat back at me in the Summer months. Plus a duvet that retains its weight in Summer but not the heat.

On similar vein ds1 wants a heat controlled butter dish that maintains optimum spreadibility without over-heating.

And a hospital carpark that has sufficient spaces would make visits so much less stressful.

AImportantMermaid · 03/06/2026 11:14

An appraisal system where your line manager can’t spend a whole year telling you how great you are and then at the actual appraisal they tell you you’re a bit shit actually so they don’t have to give you a pay rise - and that thing you won a national award for wasn’t that great after all 🙄
