Tallow & Ash stain remover pen - it’s as good as I hoped it would be and I keep it in the nappy bag for emergencies!

Dyson Airwrap - my big present to myself for qualifying as a nurse. I use the brush attachment for daily drying, but I did use the curling attachments when I actually had time to style my hair pre-baby Grin

Urban Decay Alice palette - used it for about 3 months and then got a bit sick of it and sold it in a makeup selling group on FB.

Zoflora - Mrs Hinch did a real number on me with those! I don’t buy them anymore because they give me a headache.

Scrub Daddy - Mrs Hinch again but I bloody love him and he keeps my hob looking pristine.

My Mum was influenced into getting me the most appalling pair of Halara jeans for Christmas Blush I’ve never worn wide-leg anything in my life because I’m short and chubby so I don’t know what possessed her to choose them for me. I opened those on Christmas morning and my heart sank because I knew they’d look shite and make me feel awful about myself! I tried them on and thankfully she agreed they looked terrible so they went back Blush

That whizzy top shower cleaner is the worst most useless thing I’ve ever bought!

Get some of the scrub heads that fit on a drill…..amazing results!

RaininSummer · Yesterday 23:40

The air fryer is used almost daily here and nutribullet about once a week. I'm not really an impulse purchaser though and am always pretty sceptical of online ads. I do confess to an unused spiraliser however.

Nonnim · Yesterday 23:40

Full disclosure: during lockdown I bought a flexible silicone TOILET BRUSH which was supposed to thoroughly clean the loo so it would be so sparkly - I live in a very hard water area, and no, it doesn’t.

Has anyone mentioned the kung fu singing hamster yet?

im about to be influenced - the Halara shorts! Does someone need to stop me?

I love mine!!

patooties · Yesterday 23:43

I’ve got a steam mop. I thought ours was shit until the cleaner used it. Seems we were doing it wrong…
I have Purdy and fig (in my steam mop) and the loo drops are really good.

il makiage and the £120 I spent on 4 sachets of toilet cleaner ‘not so much’

I don't know about the shorts, but I have two pairs of Halara jeans and they are now the only jeans I ever want to wear ever again. So unbelievably comfy whilst looking stylish too.

Numerous different types of skincare , yet I still look like a 55 year old woman .
Tallow and Ash - biggest waste of money ever !

MaySheWillStay · Yesterday 23:47

This is a great thread for telling me what to avoid.

With an Ofsted inspection looming our head of department bought a Loudmouth Billy Bass and put it up in the department office. He was a kind man, and until then I thought he was sensible. Did it sing “Don’t worry, be happy” at some trigger?

It was still there when I left years later, but fortunately silent. He’s left the school now: I think the fish left before he did.

GooseCreekandtheRiver · Yesterday 23:51

Bloody Valentte.

MrsShawnHatosy · Yesterday 23:51

Go brush heated hair brush straightener thingy. Crap.

Everything I’ve ever bought from Must Have Ideas.

I have a Joseph Joseph flexible silicone toilet brush. It came in a set with a caddy which stores 3 toilet rolls - similar to but not quite this one.

Mine is a hard water area, too. It works well and is easy to clean. Perhaps the difference is I didn’t have to pay for it. 😉

I got it back in the day when John Lewis customers could sign up to test products in return for a review. They changed the system and I don’t know how to get the tests now.

Purdy and fig, who gives a crap toilet paper, honeybalm lip balms in all different flavours…I’m very easily influenced 🤦🏻‍♀️

Don’t know about shorts but their casual trousers are amazing. I have jeans and smarter work ones and I love them all. I do slightly prefer the trousers to the jeans though. Their linen look pants in various colours are so comfy and flattering !

HiCandles · Yesterday 23:22

Oh good question! The shorts and the trousers look so brilliant.

The trousers are fab! Worth every penny but get them from TikTok shop as much cheaper

UnctuousUnicorns · Today 00:12

I bought a book that was recommended on here, and it was shite, I barely got past the first chapter or two. Then my dog got hold of it and chewed the front cover and first couple of pages, so I couldn't even take it to a charity shop, so in the recycling bin it went.

Thingsthatgo · Today 00:14

Mr Frosty.

Nearly everything, yet I always think I'm sooo sensible.

Purdy and bloody Fig, though it was a pretty good offer and I did immediately cancel the recurring payment as I knew it was their thing. Having said that, I rarely use it and it doesn't do anything or smell for more than about three seconds.

All the supplements - especially any that promise me fuller hair (I have a hair loss issue). None work. The most recent seem to have made me constipated. And some gummy things that are supposed to stop brain fog.
And all the serums for same.

I use my spiraliser all the time. Not 100% sold on the air fryer but I have only had it a few weeks.

Crimpets, gave as gifts, people must think I'm insane.

Nail powder gel stuff.

Could list loads.

I have to say though - the Hajara trousers and jeans do Butlins OK nice. Sorry. They look cheap and nasty. I mean, I have some cheap and nasty clothes, so I get it. But they don't look any better than they are (I do have some of their leggings which are tolerable).

Skinnysaluki · Today 00:17

i haven’t bought them but everywhere everyday I’m getting mushroom
gummies pushed at me. They promise to make me thin- anyone tried them
in real life?

monkeysox · Today 00:18

Swizzel000 · Yesterday 22:35

those jelly bras- bloody lush and a good buy!

Absolutely shite

Fauxlein · Today 00:22

I bought some Halara trousers and I've never worn them, so plasticky. Was gutted as I really believed the dream that they could be stylish and comfortable.

APinkAndSpottyGiraffey · Today 00:25

Can anyone please share a link or shop that they’d recommend for the best Nordic socks? I have cold feet even in a heatwave and have a hot water bottle every night on them, even with a fan on the rest of me! Much appreciated 😃
