I fucking loved that.

I walked past one on the street, in someone's pile of rubbish. I pointed it out to the kids who were very intrigued. I showed them a YT clip when we got home and they begged me to go back and retrieve it. I refused. I told them the novelty wears off.

We did have one in the 00s. TBF we were students.

Air fryer - used daily. Oven only used now for pizzas, roasts and cakes.

spiraliser - I’d forgotten about them.

dress - saw on the ‘who wear what’ fashion blog. Still have it.

Seen Dash drinks mentioned. I love them! I love fizzy drinks and don't like the taste of artificial sweeteners. Obvs Dash is not sweet at all but I love them. Not all flavours though as some taste artificial. The raspberry and blackberry ones are great.

Posh cat food and a rosecea treatment that is completely ineffective, the cat's wind has improved with the posh cat food and one of us is eating prawns.

That whizzy top shower cleaner is the worst most useless thing I’ve ever bought!

Also fell for this one! What annoys me is it could be so good if it was more powerful!!

Thatfattrollop · Today 07:33

Oh yes, I’ve definitely been ‘influenced’ a few times
Tub of lemony cleaning stuff - ok but no different to Cif
Shower head with the tiny balls in - rubbish
Metal carpet cleaning thing - actually really good and satisfying
Protein/creatine powders - jury’s still out
Purdy &figg - I think I got one bottle but now use Neat from Tesco instead which is lovely.

Probably loads more 🙈

Eeyorefan · Today 07:33

Valenette - bought once
up circle - bought twice (second time to use the voucher that came with the sample set)
popcorn maker - still hiding in a cupboard
bread maker - freecycled it as OH makes bread without using it
Dash Water - bleurgh

I’ve worn the Nordic socks for about 3 years, They are really warm and still look great, no holes or wear at all. My husband bought them for me, he’s the easily influenced one in our house.

Mummrahh · Today 07:35

Magnetic false eye lashes.
Ancient & Brave collagen (both types).
Matcha.
Charlotte Tilbury.
Plug in air fresheners (irritate my eyes).

Gingefringe · Today 07:35

The Salt Path by Raynor Winn. Got drawn into the inspirational ‘true’ story. Turned out she’s a complete fraud.

Theredjellybean · Today 07:40

Hot brush thing of tiktok shop...bloody marvellous love it. Though it lasted about 2 months and bristles fell out so I bought another.

Mould magic .. again brilliant

Soda stream...used once..

beasmithwentworth · Today 07:42

Has anyone fallen for any teeth whitening influencer things? I bought the Gleam strips and a pot of that powder (bright smile I think it might be called) . Absolutely no change.

I am teetering on the edge of buying the Nothura collagen wand (Botox without the needles apparently .. fine lines gone in days… yeah right!) Please someone stop me!

Has anyone bought / used any teeth whitening products that have worked?

FrostyMorn · Today 07:42

A shakti mat. Even bought the matching pillow. I have chronic back pain and was desperately looking for solutions but this wasn't it! At the very least I should have bought a cheap imitation.

NeedSleepNow · Today 07:45

I keep making the mistake of buying things advertised to me on Facebook, smol cleaning product subscription, who gives a crap toilet paper, popsy dresses, purdy & fig.

Halara trousers and shorts are the latest things I'm tempted by.

zeebra · Today 07:46

Butterflystar76 · Yesterday 22:41

love the socks, fell for purdy and figg and got caught twice…. Never again…
Dash water…. Yuk…
sorbet ice pops… expensive but yummy!!
an influencers dream I am 🤣

More details required please about the sorbet ice pops. I love sorbet x

No, never. I tried that MySweetSmile stuff in the blue tub, no difference whatsoever. I’ve been tempted by Zing toothpaste but not succumbed yet.

I too am a fellow spiraliser owner!
I have however managed to dodge the nutribullet and any form of an air frier just from plain stubbornness!

I wish I could have done.

FrostyMorn · Today 07:51

Oh and Cornish seaweed company shampoo and conditioner. Made me hair sticky and limp and did nothing for the shedding. They recommend persevering over several weeks to adjust which i tried but it was becoming unbearable - to be fair to them they did refund me beyond the usual period.

Needapadlockonmyfridge · Today 07:51

Amazing: Folding rechargeable fan - absolutely brilliant, been a godsend this week. Lasts hours, no cord to trip over. (From Must Have Ideas)

Bad: Shapermint pants. Absolutely pants.

Glad I found this thread, there are a few things I have been tempted to try ..... and I am no longer tempted 😀

beasmithwentworth · Today 07:55

@MrsShawnHatosyThat was it . My Sweet Smile. I knew I’d got the name wrong. I’m pretty sure it’s just sodium bicarbonate in a pot right?

They are called Pola poles, I got the Raspberry and Rhubarb flavours and they are amazing…. They also do alcoholic ones which is very tempting!

sunnydisaster · Today 07:56

One good thing (not inline per se) was the Kishskin product from the latest Apprentice winner - it’s transformed my face from a post-menopausal shit show of zits and redness to clear and bright! It’s been 6 weeks since I started it.

gbpaln · Today 07:57

Halara jeans. Think I may have got a dodgy pair as the colour was terrible. Top was dark and looked like a pair of shorts and then light from mid thigh downwards. Everyone else raves about them
