I got caught out with Purdy and Fig too! Bloody annoyed I was! Had to quickly unsubscribe as soon as I had paid!

For me it was the dancing coke can wearing sunglasses back in the 80s! Everyone got one!
I fell for the Crimpet, absolutely bloody useless, too small for a normal wrap and I seemed to end up with 2! Gave one away and can honestly say, we both have them in the drawer and don't use them!
Fell for Method Rhubarb antibac spray, then realised less than a quarter of a way in I hated the smell!
I'm an advertisers dream, so no doubt I'll think of more! 🤣

I love my crimpet!!!

Elevate

The Trinny neck stuff? I heard her talk about it on a podcast and how many repeat purchases there are. Is it rubbish?

LifeBeginsToday · Yesterday 23:08

Barefoot shoes. They are actually a game changer. But I was influenced into buying them.

No collagen powder

I am a bit of a MN sheep though I really loved (and still so) my Soap and Glory foot file and the Korea Italy towels. There's probably more, but those two spring to mind.

Thanksforyourlackofthought · Yesterday 23:18

Purdy & Figg
Valentte.
And I’m blaming MN for valentte as saw it on here!

My SIL got Purdy and fig on a whim and quickly unsubscribed.

im about to be influenced - the Halara shorts! Does someone need to stop me?

Silk hair bonnet. Wore it about twice before realising how uncomfortable I was sleeping with something on my head and hair up.

Carpet cleaning gadget, like a metal triangle with a handle that you pull across the carpet and it gets up all the fluff and pet hair. Turns out it does remove all that, but it also removes half your carpet fibres. Oh and you actually have to use it for it to do anything, rather than just chuck it in a cupboard. Why I thought I'd be spending my evenings carpet scraping I don't know.

Oh good question! The shorts and the trousers look so brilliant.

Clearly I am the only one then 🙈🙈

Singing cactus toy? Tell me more...

I didn't buy it myself, but I would buy another one. My friend bought me a Magic 8 ball, and that thing was never wrong about a certain man. And I questioned it a lot.

Oh I forgot the stuff from the 90s!
I was also the proud owner of the singing cod/fish mounted on the plaque 😂

Your place sounds like a bit of a hoot, OP, between your singing fish and your singing cactus! 🤣 What else you got?

Judysdreamofhorses · Yesterday 23:28

The Ordinary serum foundation.
I don't generally have sensitive skin and have worn many cheap and cheerful brands over the years but I broke out horribly with it especially around my eyes. Tight, red, itchy, eyes all swollen with scaly patches, it was really awful.
In the bin after 2 days.

Billy bass wasn't it? Had on in local chip shop

Another one with a Spiraliser.

First time I used it i made a massive bowl of veggie courghetti bolognaise

Literally within 30 minutes I was flipping starving, what a waste of time that was!

I have been taken in by a Yarn Advent Calendar this year, £180. I could just buy that quantity of yarn or dye my own for probably £60 max but it looked very pretty 😳. Also mad that I paid that in April and have to wait until December!

mumofoneAloneandwell · Yesterday 23:30

Laxative tea for weight loss!!

Omg my spiraliser was used once and forgotten about, its in the back of one of my cupboards 😫

My ward was given a singing cactus toy, by a patients mum, so that we would remember him. (He had one too) I somehow ended up
taking it for a walk in the local park after work and sharing an ice cream. 🤔

🤣🤣🤣🤣 You really shouldn't have had that spliff!

Oh, we are all capable of being seduced by heatless-curl methods. I mean, who doesn't want heatless curls? That's the Holy Grail! I wouldn't feel sheepish about that one. It's like offering a dog steak and expecting it to say no.

Josephinemylove · Yesterday 23:35

Valentte but love them tbh. They smell lovely but DH has gone a bit mad on them. Likewise purdy and Figg
i got influenced by MN to buy the ordinary stuff. Nothing bad but I don’t love iy
ordered a bra off instagram I’ve never received where a woman in a pink t shirt draws round her boobs without and with the bra
oh and just took delivery of my up circle sample set today. But tbf a friend recommended their serum and I thought I’d try their stuff.

KnittyKnotty · Yesterday 23:36

Vaguely remember my Granny had heatless curl thing. Pink foam with bendy wire in them and some setting lotion. I was desperate to try them, probably 5 year old, didn't get a wink of sleep that night and they didn't work as Granny didn't want to waste her setting lotion on a kid 🤣.

bridgetreilly · Yesterday 23:37

Air Up water bottle. I just don’t have a strong enough sense of smell. Total waste.
