I bought the weird duck toy for my dog. She bloody loves it and for once, hasn't torn it apart. So it's been a win.

I also bought these huge balloon things for kids to sit on and bounce during lock down. They were the size of a standard balloon when they arrived from China.

Generally I try to find a review site before committing. It has saved me many times from horrible customer service by the sounds of the reviews. Some of the most professional looking sites are just massive scams.

I’m pointing out, just because you haven’t experience of it, lots of people do have freestanding ovens. It’s okay to be wrong! 😂

I didn't say people didn't have them, not did I suggest it. I said I hadn't seen one for over twenty years. I specifically said I know they exist but I've not seen one in anyone's house.

I won't wait for your apology.

Please don’t.

Duck toy inspired by Paddington, the rescued dog not the bear?

Silk hair bonnet. Wore it about twice before realising how uncomfortable I was sleeping with something on my head and hair up.

Carpet cleaning gadget, like a metal triangle with a handle that you pull across the carpet and it gets up all the fluff and pet hair. Turns out it does remove all that, but it also removes half your carpet fibres. Oh and you actually have to use it for it to do anything, rather than just chuck it in a cupboard. Why I thought I'd be spending my evenings carpet scraping I don't know.

carpet razors/scrapers aren’t for every day use! they’re just to remove a piece of chewing gum or whatever alongside a wet cleaning machine, my dad used to use them in his cleaning business only on the small affected area as yes they remove some fibres

She isn’t talking about that. It’s like a lint roller alternative, especially for pet hair. I love mine!

Whats a jelly bra? Does it mean padded with a jelly like substance?

No I googled and found it’s a brand. Looks comfy without wires and straps that dig in.

I honestly thought it was those bras that had a silicone insert (I had one 30 years ago 😂)

Silverbirchleaf · 26/06/2026 15:43

I didn’t know what one was either.

Oh I forgot the stuff from the 90s!
I was also the proud owner of the singing cod/fish mounted on the plaque 😂

I got my late father that one year as a joke Christmas present. He loved it. It’s a nice memory.

I was also taken in by the Crimpit (gave it to a colleague).
