So the child murderer Ian Huntley is dead, finally. Pity it took so long, i hope he died in pain and terror, and a medal to whoever did it. Karma sometimes works.

Ah I was just saying to my husband he hasn't got long, so its done now. Evil man. If there is a hell I hope he is there now.

NetcurtainProblem · 07/03/2026 10:10

All I hope is that the families have some kind of closure. I can’t rejoice in anyone’s death I’m just neutral on this one. Clearly no loss to society but to be gleeful about any violent attack feels wrong somehow.

BillieWiper · 07/03/2026 10:10

Seeing as he kept on trying to commit suicide they actually ended up giving him what he wanted. So I think medals might not quite be in order. The guy who killed him was also already a brutal murderer of innocent people.

Muffsies · 07/03/2026 10:11

It was kind of inevitable that he wouldn't live a normal life span, don't care about that, but his death doesn't give me any satisfaction. Espacially as it was another perverted rapist and murderer that killed him, it all makes me feel sick actually.

susiedaisy1912 · 07/03/2026 10:11

I hope he felt the same amount of fear and pain that his victims did.

notacooldad · 07/03/2026 10:11

Let's not make a hero of his killer though.
He was an evil murderer.
He has done it for his own glory ,not to right a wrong.

Am glad he’s gone, but not a medal to the person who did it because he’s just as evil in his original crime.
I don’t agree with all the handwringers for Huntley though.

Vaxtable · 07/03/2026 10:11

You do realise that the person who attacked him is just as bad as him? And you want to give him a medal? How do you think the family of those he attacked feel about that?

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 07/03/2026 10:12

His killer was not a hero. 🤨

Not sad he’s dead though.

ScarlettSarah · 07/03/2026 10:12

The guy who killed him is also a complete scumbag. Shame they didn't both take each other out tbh.

But still, good riddance. Hope he's in hell now.

ExpressCheckout · 07/03/2026 10:12

This also means that there's now no possibility of finding out exactly what happened to the girls. Perhaps we don't need to know. I don't know how I feel about him dying, to be honest, because of this.

Cetera · 07/03/2026 10:13

The man who killed him is a triple murderer and rapist. Hopefully someone will finish him off soon. I can’t stand that we fund these people.

I'm of the same opinion. Glad he is no longer around but not how it was done.

Probably better to never know

WhatAMarvelousTune · 07/03/2026 10:13

A medal to his killer? The alleged killer is a rapist, and triple murderer, including killing a pregnant woman. Let’s not pretend he was being some honourable justice warrior here.

Google the guy who killed him before you award the medal, he raped and murdered a pregnant woman

Mymanyellow · 07/03/2026 10:14

I’m glad he’s dead. Hope Holly and Jessica’s families can find some peace, although this will rake it all up again.
His attacker is not a hero though.

AllSlippersareBanned · 07/03/2026 10:14

Jesus. Grow up.

A medal? To celebrate mob violence? This says a lot more about your values than it does about justice. If prison violence deserves medals, then the justice system might as well shut the courts and let the inmates run sentencing.

The guy who killed him is a triple murder who raped and murdered a women and her son.

Still think he deserves a medal? He sounds just as bad as Huntley.

I'm not sad that Huntely has died but I do get frustrated about people wanting to give medals and "drinks" (as was on a thread about Ian Watkins) to these people. They shouldn't be celebrated or given "medals". It's frankly an insult to the families of the victims of their crimes.

Squirrel60 · 07/03/2026 10:16

I Absolutely 1000% agree with you!

I hope the twisted bag of scum goes to the deepest darkest corner of hell and rots for all eternity and beyond and takes Maxine Carr with him!

Apparently, Carr even stole from nuns who were helping her and caused them all kinds of other problems!

Carr is apparently married with a child now. But people have spotted her and threatened to attack her.

Exactly. One of the men accused of killing Watkins is in prison for murder, and the other for kidnap and rape. Whilst I appreciate that very little reaches the sheer horror of Watkins’ crimes, do people still want to clap them on the back and take them for a drink?

Triskellion75 · 07/03/2026 10:19

I don't believe in Hell but by God, I wish there was.

Bellaunion · 07/03/2026 10:19

I agree with others, I'm neutral on this. I think we have a justice system for a reason or else we have people like the OP celebrating mob violence and that triple killers who murder and rape pregnant women should somehow be given medals.

Not even that the scale of prison violence is alarming because it heightens the risk to prison officers and staff who are tasked with keeping them locked up. The last thing we'd want is for any of these monsters to break free and be on the street.
