Catherine O'Hara has died

Am not usually one to post these kinds of threads but this is so sad. I've loved her since childhood and am currently in the middle of a Schitt's Creek binge to take my mind off the usual winter bugs. She was such a fantastic actress and so, so funny.

She was wonderful as Moira Rose. We should all raise a glass of fruit wine to her!

Gosh, how embarrassing. It's clear why that poster said 'educate oneself.'

She was an absolute legend. A true comic genius and a wonderful actress. RIP Catherine. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving us Moira.

I so agree OP. I am currently on my 4th rewatch of Schitt’s Creek, having at first been one of many people it seems who couldn’t get into it. I’m so glad I carried on as I now see what a beautiful, profound and warm show it turned out to be. It is my comfort watch too. And Moria was sublime. I have at least one of her lines in my head most days! So very sad, and only 71.

She was an amazing actress and comedienne. Beetlejuice, Schitts creek, Nightmare before Christmas and home alone. All favourites. 71 far too young.

Awww this is so sad. 71 is no age. I had just introduced my teens to the wonder of Schitts Creek.

So sad about this. I was lucky enough to attend the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice premiere and can confirm she was truly lovely. Friendly, funny, welcoming - gave off the aura she'd been your friend for years. Weirdly down to earth for a Hollywood star too. Just lovely.
